Well they sacked him just so they could stick Simon Grayson in charge. You don't sack someone in as good form as Lee Clarke and have his replacement sorted in two days unless it was premeditated.

It'll be interesting to see how long it takes the young English managers like Grayson and Clarke to work their way up to the PL.

Arsenal shall be victorious this weekend.

AVB has gone from Chelsea, according to a club statement, as he had not delivered the results required. Fairly normal stuff by Abramhovich, but that buy out clause money wasted on AVB is going to seem a little silly in his mind.

Shame we could only draw the derby today with Sunderland, with our second half performance we should have won about 6-1. Just about the best second half I have seen from us all season.

Ah well, a points a point and we didn't lose to the Mackems so all is well.

Suarez is becoming an actor. Every time there was a slight or no contact at all and he goes down holding his leg with one arm and raising the other in pain like he was just being stabbed 20 times.

What a 🤬

Censor it all or don't post it. This isn't the first time you've been told this.

And that distinguishes him from any other footballer... how?

What a double save by Szczesny though. He is going to become one of the worlds top keepers I think.

I haven't seen a footballer performing that kind of comedy for a whole game. Have seen many divers in any team but that's just ridiculous. Is that what they pay him for, to roll around agonising the slightest touch he receives?

I'm sorry and it won't happen again.

Really? Ashley Young is notorious for it and Cristiano Ronaldo spent more time on his arse than his feet. They are just the tip of a thirty year iceberg...

Remember Rivaldo?

And that was in a World Cup semi-final.

The finest non-Latin diver there has ever been. Even the anti-divers dive:

It's a part of the modern game. Unfortunately. They're all at it - though it was always considered a Latin problem (Italy, Spain, Portugal, South America), it's everyone from everywhere now. Name a player and there's probably a video of them falling over on Youtube.

I've been really impressed by Tim Krul this season. Every time I see him on MOTD he's been pulling off some excellent saves.

Cristiano Ronaldo's school of diving:

Finally, after suffering through Almunia and Lehman, a decent keeper!

Diving is fairly endemic in the modern game, however the Premier League is not quite as bad as the Liga BBVA, every time I see any of it or busquets, it's just laughable.

Europe's top 20 clubs will be interested in him, and he'll cost less than 15 million, so there's always going to be a bit of a scramble to sign him. I personally think he'll go Barca or Milan.

Less than £15 million? Not a chance! Try in excess of £25 million at the very least... but he'll probably go for far more once the bidding hots up. The Independent has reported that City are willing to pay Van Persie £220,000 a week....

 Why less than 15 million, surely there'l be a bidding war ? I know he's on his final year of his contract but he's still the Prem's best striker at the moment.

I don't think he'l go to Milan, I'm thinking either Manchester or Madrid. Despite all the transfer talk don't forget that he has often publicly stated that he's happy at Arsenal.

But I think he wants to win trophies while still in England.

Manchester is the destination. Money is very alluring, but look at former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor. He'd do better at United, but I do think City is where he'll end up.

No point staying at Arsenal then.

He'll have an option to buy the final year of his contract out with being over 28, 100k a week adds up to around 5 mil a year so he could cost as little as that.
