Well, there is a lot of sympathy among pundits for Torres and his plight since he moved to Chelsea. It's true that one game proves nothing, but it'll help him to finally end his goal drought. Seems I was caught up in the spirit of the moment a tad. I did say maybe.

Well this is the third time he's ended his goal drought at Chelsea. They say 3rd time's the charm but... he cost £50,000,000.00 and has been a complete donkey for over 12 months.

His slow start is even worse than Berbatov's was. Whether he can actually recover and find some genuine form is another matter.

It is strange how the pundits are so forgiving of his time at Chelsea. They rip into Berbatov, even though he was top scorer for United in the 2010-2011 season. It honestley amazes me why Berbatov is criticised so heavily, even though he scores a goal every two games on average. Torres scores a goal every 12 games on average.

Wolves are doomed now I feel. I bet McCarthy's feeling very smug at the moment.

Torres also had a goals to manager ratio of 2.6 before today.

And McCarthy is a very good manager as much as I hate to say so for what he did by getting Keane out if international football.

Alex.
Great goal by Suarez today :D

Que Sara Sara.. :D

Blackburn win 2-0 against Sunderland, and are now 6 points clear of the relegation zone. Somewhat of a turnaround since last October time, those protests seemed to be in vain. Tomorrow will be an important game Chelsea-Man City, a resurgent Chelsea vs a City lacking form. Important for the title race. Also, Nottingham forrest beat Leeds 7-3 in the Championship, which is nuts. Most home goals conceded ever by Leeds. Crazy game. Was 3-3 at one point.

That's a tough one. Want Chelsea to lose, but also don't want City to win the league.

Nice set of results - Spurs continuing their slide into Europa League contention, Liverspud making a hash of a 2 goal lead and Chelfy's dad's army being outgunned by the money grabbers.

Go gooners :D

Man City v Chelsea game was pretty good stuff - Chelsea seemed to be pretty tight, and were looking good for their lead when they were a goal ahead. But the Man City comeback was pretty impressive - Tevez with the assist for the winner too... (first game I've watched at home on Sky Sports too :D)

Had to resist the temptation to text my Liverpool supporting mate, who will be incandescent with rage right now

What the hell was Suarez thinking there?

Thank God that "goal" was not accepted by the referee. It must be a painful day to be a Liverpool fan

How long till Kenny gets sacked lads?

Kenny who?

Wigan. Of all the teams, Wigan. At home, too.

The race for 4th thickens. Or thins, if you're a Liverpool fan! Bad times, Alex.

I really wouldn't 1-2 be a Liverpool fan at the moment.. :sly:

Sorry, couldn't resist it  On another note, Man City seem to be losing it...

Wigannabe milking this one, eh?

It Caldwell be a long time before we let this one go. A load of Maloney from Liverpool, they aren't as Suarez they used to be. About Dalglish... how long Kenny keep his job? They're Downing the dumps at the moment, but equally Adamant about boucing back.

Could be worse. They could have bought a 35mil pound striker who makes Torres look like Messi. :dunce:

Lol, Viera berating Scholes. Look at their record since he came back. Getting one of Britain's best midfielders of the last 20 years isn't exactly like signing a player well past his peak from Juventus who played terribly in his retirement for £90,000 a week is it? Oh wait...

Fergie is the Mind Games King.

Good ol' Big Ron. Fergie's predecessor, coincidentally. It paid off that season; Coventry stayed up.

Well well, City have gone from the position of strength to being 2 pts behind with United having a game in hand. And their winning run at the Etihad ends with 20 wins in a row. QPR got the scalp of Arsenal too, ending 7 wins in a row for the Gunners. Chelsea won as well, 4-2 somewhat rejuvenated now AVB is gone. United in the driving seat for the run in.

Great results today. 👍

Great to hear Arsenal have lost. They're very much an in form or off form team and with this result I'm hoping they now do awful for the rest of the season allowing Chelsea to get 3rd.

Sky Sports ran Dalglish getting sacked as an April Fool. City lost ground against Sunderland, they were lucky. Rovers vs United tomorrow, will be embarrassing for us.

Yes! Great win for us over Liverpool today, we really mean business in the chase for Europe. Hope Swansea can get something off Tottenham this afternoon, would be superb for us.

Liverpool don't need to get rid of their manager - they need to offload the deadwood players that are delivering nothing, starting with Andy Carroll. He's been utterly useless.

Who bought him?

This is down to both players and manager.

Damien Comolli bought him.

This may be true, but form still stands at 6 defeats from the last 7 games.

Man City going off the boil perhaps? Pressure getting to them? Sure clawing back 2 goals is creditable, but going 3-1 down against Sunderland isn't what they need right now.

The ball is in United's court.
