Either Jordan is accurate in stating, "Kazunori Yamauchi himself will be using the new blog to answer your questions posted in GTPlanet’s Kazunori Q&A forum."

or...

Trustjab is accurate in saying, "Thats not what the blog's creation is for and neither does it say such."

Pick one.

They are both correct. First one refers to what Kaz will use it for, but has no reference to it's other uses or creation purpose.

The editors page on the blog explains it more. Read the whole editors page, not just the first line you kept quoting earlier in this thread.

Doesn't matter how many times you strawman this, it doesn't change the fact that Trustjab was asserting that the purpose of the blog wasn't to answer our questions, and yet Jordan says, "Kazunori Yamauchi himself will be using the new blog to answer your questions posted in GTPlanet’s Kazunori Q&A forum." They can't both be true.

Tin man is always calling the straw man. It was Dorothy that led them to Oz.

One specific purpose quoted by Jordan is not necessarily the only, or intended purpose.

Why can't they? Jordan did not state that the blog is just for answering questions. While its sole purpose for creation might be that, it's obviously not the case.

I agree, but it still doesn't change the fact that this statement is incorrect, sorry.

Just to be clear, you're saying that answering our questions is the primary function of the blog and you are using Jordans quote as evidence correct?

If that's the case, then you are incorrect. Simply because no official source even mentions the GTP questions let alone declares them as a major function of the blog.

Don't get me wrong, at least once a day I check the blog to see if the next sound post is up and every day thus far have left disappointed. There is a very valid reason for being unhappy with the blog and it's lack of the information we've been looking for...but not the reason you're using.

That all hangs on my assumption being correct of course.

Edit: Oh yeah, my main point of coming to this thread was to say I'm pretty unhappy with how long the next sound post is taking. How close the other two were led me to believe that it would be here already...

"Thats not what the blog's creation is for and neither does it say such." =/= "will not be used for". Dont put words in peoples mouths @Johnnypenso. Its not polite ;) I did not deny the blog will answer questions. I said the blogs statement of its purpose does not include that. As you can read for yourself here- http://pitstop.gran-turismo.com/en/article/5.

Even the op in this thread has the quote from the introduction of pit-stop-
Hello everyone, this is the PITSTOP Editorial Team.

We’ve created a new place for sharing information with Gran Turismo fans: the “Gran Turismo PIT STOP”.

The PIT STOP is a blog-style service that brings you information regarding Gran Turismo in a casual way. Taking an approach that is a bit different from the official gran-turismo.com, we’ll be bringing you bits of info that didn’t make it into the official news.

At PIT STOP, a variety of authors in addition to its writers will be posting articles from all over the world. Visitors can also leave comments on these articles as well, but please keep in mind that there may be cases in which inappropriate comments or those that are unrelated to the topic in question may be deleted. You will need to login with a Facebook account in order to be able to leave a comment.

We are hoping that this new communication channel will be a great way to bring all GT fans together in a dedicated community platform, so please come join us!

<PIT STOP Editorial Team>
Dont see anything in that statement that says "we made pit-stop to answer questions". Thats a major feature of the blog. "Thats not what the blog's creation is for and neither does it say such" is exactly right if you go by the official statement. But even then, I didnt say it wouldnt answer questions. I only said what the blog says.

my very personal opinion is still that pitstop is not working well, or in other words, the Q&A is not working well, is too slow and we cant even agree about where or when the answers will appear. none of the few answers that we have are directly related to the gtplanet's Q/A forum Kaz asked for.

conclusion, PD's communication fails again because fans cant agree about what pitstop is for. ;)

Simple solution,
We use the "Questions for Kaz thread",
Jordan takes the top 5 unanswered questions every month and gives Kaz a call.

Easy..!

As usually in the case of PD, things are a bit unclear. The blog description says one thing whereas Jordan says something else. I'm almost certain that it's meant to be be a platform for answering GTPlanet's Q&A as well ''bringing information regarding Gran Turismo in a casual way'' - the latter being its primary intention.

Still though, it has been almost two months since the announcement of the Q&A and a month has passed since part one and two of the blog entry regarding the engine sounds. Another good idea executed rather poorly.

You got a problem with me making a request?

What are you on about , go back and read my comments in its context. And since I posted that weeks ago its probably not relevant... Now If you seen my post at the time. You would have understood.

Horse has already bolted m8

I don't care about it's context. You had a screen cap that showed my personal facebook page. You should have blurred out the name and pics of people.

Almost all of us realize that at least part of the purpose of the Blog was to answer questions about the game. You'll always have a few defenders on the other side who think Kaz/PD walk on water though, it's the nature of the beast.

As to when or where the answers appear, that's in PD/Kaz's hands and we have no control over it, nor any committed schedule. So we're left to speculate about what is a "reasonable" time frame for releasing the information, just as we were left with determining a reasonable time frame for the release of the announced game features. I doubt a reasonable person would accept say 6 months to fully answer a question about sounds for example, but would easily accept 2 or 3 weeks. A single question fully answered every 2 or 3 weeks seems reasonable to me. A month is stretching it but I could see that happening. 2 months is obviously too long IMO.

Well, we're coming up on a month since the last sound post, are we not?

If Kaz can't find an hour in a month to knock out a little more of the sound story, even if it needs to continue into part 4, I don't hold high hopes that we'll ever see much information out of the Pitstop. It's clearly not that important to them. Maybe we'll see the end of the sound question, maybe not. But expecting anything more beyond that seems like folly.

I suspect Pitstop was a nice idea, that happened to coincide with the Nurburgring so they tried to kill two birds with one stone. They got the information about the Nurburgring out OK, but I think they missed the second bird.

That's the story of Polyphony in recent years. Tried, but then something happened along the way and it didn't quite make it. Sorry.

Yup, you and I have actually talked about this once before. I said I'd wait until a month after the last sound post to worry about the future of getting our questions answered. That day is tomorrow...The next two days are either going to be pretty exciting, or rather disappointing. I'm not hopeful.

I stand by what I said...100% why did you ask for cars when it was a article about sounds on a new blog by pd, to address the community about a issue we have had for years... And if I want to post what I seen I will thank you , I don't censor anything. But all you seem to have done is bring to our intention that you are the person we were all laughing at, now if you would have sent me a pm, I obviously would have removed it and you would have saved face and nobody would have been any the wiser but nope had to kick up a hissey fit like I invaded your personal life, in future I suggest if you want to stay anonymous don't make comments on public blogs with you real name linked to your Facebook account.. Use an Alias as in a username. If you want to stay private use common sense

Kaz: Well, if you don't like the sounds, than how about you just mute them. I admit it, I care about the sounds because everytime I drive on the Nurburgring, I wear ear plugs due to how awful the sounds are. So I look at the speedometer for when to shifting."

Joke aside, this makes me believe even more that GT7 won't be getting better engine sounds, they just don't care for it nor what the fans think. It'll be silly to even believe what Kaz saids nowadays, no offence to those who do though. All Kaz will do is probably give better quality (like echos) on hearing the sounds but they won't be different to GT5/GT6.

The Sound article must be being redone, It was originally planned for last month.

From what I found out anyways. Who really knows how they plan stuff.

Wasn't sound answered - GT7 will have new sound engine, GT6 will get a sound update, but not in July

What is left to answer? Specific dates?

It'd be nice, just to prove that they're working on it!

Redbull cars, Lotus 97T. They sound much better. This tells me they are working on it.
You wont get specific dates until GT7 release date is announced, and GT6 update (possibly Spec 2) has a date to announce

Yeah the question has been answered. I'm just interested in how they're doing it and what's going on behind the scenes. For me it's purely a curiosity thing.

They started a series of articles explaining how the sounds have evolved over the years through Gran Turismo. And stopped just as we were coming to GT5P/GT5.

The question "Are we getting new sounds in GT6?" has been answered.
The question "What's up with the sounds in GT5/GT6 anyway?" has not. I think people would be a lot more understanding of the sounds in GT6 if they knew why that design choice was taken. Maybe.

Or maybe they'd just rip PD to pieces for making an obviously moronic decision. Sort of depends on the reasoning. Which is possibly why we haven't got that third article.

How about how they plan to acquire and/or use better sound-samples ?

Are they going to change their 'recording process' ? - How?, Are they only doing 'Premiums' in GT6 or just a handful ? - Why?. What about all those 'placeholder' references ? (And the subsequent jokes?).

There are still many questions related to 'Sounds' that are not yet answered, that is if they'll be answered at all.

They answered that, samples now recorded under load, with car on dyno tune machine. They explained how sounds were recorded previously.

Seriously, you have read answers but are not understanding what has been said.

If he said he was not happy with the sounds, why did he release a game in that state?
Or he just said that because the community don't like?
Last time i read something about the sounds in GT5 he was very happy with them, why did he change the opinion if they still the same?
If i do something and i don't like what i have done, i try other ways, this thing it's not new in GT6, the complains came in GT5, at least they could try change something to sound different, and try other excuse.
