Well yeah. It isn't exactly developed around players and fans. For example how Project C.A.R.S. is made. Or was that Assetto Corsa? While I may not personally agree with their choices, it is their decision and if they do actually fail then they will realize their mistakes on their own. If not, oh well, time to move on.

He did answer about the Course Maker, but apparently, its in beta stage...
I saw that at Reddit and to me that's a total bs response from Kaz.
I mean, PD talked about course maker when GT6 was announced, they mentioned Andalucia, there was that talk about players being able to to "freely lay a track on an area of 100km x 100km," and over a year later they're still in beta stage?
Course maker could be a great feature if done right. After all this time I'd expect more info, what improvements are being made, pictures, video, etc.

I'm expecting a few more parts on the N24, EXP's going into a bit of detail and he hasn't covered the whole event and wrap up yet.

Since the cat is out of the bag regarding the Isle of Man TT course being scanned for a future release, it'd be interesting to see if they use it in the blog to demonstrate their track development process. It'd be very interesting to follow even if we'd had to wait until GT7 to see its implementation.

You would think. . . they would use that blog to repair their relationship with us, you know, gain our trust. Instead, they get an advanced A.I, EXP to update the blog with info that doesnt relate to GT6. I love GT, but I feel like a guy suffering with battered wife syndrome. PD and Kaz really loves me, right?
This is what I thought as well. And to be honest, I wish it was like that too, but nope. Like you, I love GT too, but it's PD I don't like. They've changed.

It has to be BS, I agree. We have no idea what Kaz and PD are doing with it, that's the problem.

Wake me up when the blog gets back on topic about GT.

We will never get woken up...

You can have a second (or third for that matter) beta phase, if the software has been altered, it would need extensive testing again and so have to go through all of the usual steps. I think he meant that the current version is still in Beta, the current beta, not the first one.

Latest update on sound. PD are hiring.

LOL

KAZ: "Right now we are in the midst of making improvements regarding these issues, and I think we’ll be able to come up with results soon, but still there just isn’t enough staff.

So any sound engineers, recording engineers out there that are like “Hey let ME improve the sounds of Gran Turismo!”, we’re hiring. It should be pretty fun working to unravel the mysteries of sound from a technical point of view, and travel all over the world recording sounds in the process."

Really? This is a joke?
Irony? Sarcasm?

Fans want better sound, fans want PD to hire more staff, fans want more communication.

PD tell fans they are hiring more staff because they want better sound.

This shows they are listening, communicating.

How is that irony or sarcasm?

It also doesn’t help that there aren’t enough people in the sound team. And the biggest problem is that the sound recordings have not caught up to the increase in the number of cars.

I have no sympathy whatsoever. Should've hired more people a decade ago.

Edit : With that said, I think it's great that they're at last hiring more people. But judging from the blog entry, I'm highly sceptical about any major overhaul concerning sounds in GT7.

Regarding the article, remember yourself PD. You're not little studio with few money anymore. Why dont you hire more employees in the first place? Many people interested to work on gaming/computer company after all.

EDIT: Holly molly. They actually hiring. GO GO GTP FILL THAT EMPTY SPACE YOU ALL DREAMED OF.

Would love to know which cars use the Dynamo-pack thing. LFA probably one.

Great to see them finally admitting they are short on staff, hire @Griffith500 , he can be our inside guy.

I don't think he's asking for sympathy. The goal of the blog series was to explain their history with engine sounds, where they're at now, and what they're going to be doing in the future to make sure the the sound reaches the standards that fans desire. And I think they did that. Now the next step is to obviously wait until we finally hear the engine sounds in GT7 since Kaz has confirmed that's when we'll hear the improvement.

I'm aware of that. But still, I don't feel sorry for them at all and Kaz's deliberate choice of not hiring enough people in the past - due to wanting a ''closely-knit team''. However, it's great that he's finally coming to terms with the fact that the team is indeed in need of more competent manpower, especially in the sound depertment - something that we've (the fans and the community) acknowledged years ago.

What if there's a catch, like you having to provide your own equipment or the like? That would be hilarious.

I would expect someone qualified/experienced in sound recording/engineering/production to have their own equipment. If something is being outsourced, they would use their own equipment. Some people prefer to use their own equipment.

So no, not hilarious at all. Quite logical depending on the circumstances.

I like how Kaz is was like in one interview last year "Nahhh, I don't need to expand because me and my team are like a family."

And now he turns around and is all like "We need more people, there's just not enough staff." because now he realizes he needs more people...

I agree with @Hyland, Kaz should have hired more people a decade ago, yet he didn't because, what, not enough of complaints from back then? He should also know sounds aren't the only thing that's an issue in GT, there's lots. Like, A LOT, of issues and features missing STILL. Get with the program, this is modern times, not the 90's anymore...

Other than that, finally a non N24 blog. Thank lord.

Like you guys I think he should have done that a long time ago. Perhaps they wanted to finalize the record process with the Dynapack first and now they're ready, they can hire more sound engineers ?

Anyway, I'm really happy because Kaz posted a job offer on a public blog in english ! This means that they are ready to hire people from all over the world (not japanese exclusive) and it is definitely a step in the right direction.

I even think that gtplanet should make an article about this job offer. It will be good for the visibility :)

Thx Kaz 👍

I can't help with the sound but I've got a decent computer and I'd be glad to volunteer to work on fixing up the standard cars!! :D

Your hindsight goes back 10 years to the 90's?

And its also pains me that there are no sound engineers around anymore that can “make sound”.
20 years ago, there was a culture of sound synthesizers, where it was like “if you can’t record it, make it”. But since the advent of samplers, there are less and less people nowadays that are able to trace back sounds to their original principles of creation, and synthesize sounds that sound authentic.

Right now we are in the midst of making improvements regarding these issues, and I think we’ll be able to come up with results soon, but still there just isn’t enough staff.

I actually can't believe I'm reading this to be honest. Kaz sounds like some guy working out of a garage trying to build a videogame. 7 billion people on the planet and he can't find staff? Translation: It's not a high priority and we aren't willing to invest heavily in it because it just isn't that important:tdown:. On the bright side, at least we got an answer
:odd:

I'm disappointed that it's taken over a decade for Kaz to realise that PD are short staffed. They should have been hiring more from the later years of the PS2 to the beginning of the PS3.

FYI guys, there's another Nurburgring article coming still. I think it may be the last one though.
