wow, that is one hard event!
100% clean race... i just tried some laps but it will be a really big task for everyone to submit a clean race... as the AI likes to crash right into you because the morrison has sloppy brakes so their braking point is much later!

s it also required to finish 1st or is that optional too?

and is it legal to post lap times on lap 2 and 3 or just lap 2 and 3 combined ?

Seconded 👍..... I drove this car the other week in the non GTLM event just for fun and boy was it fun . I'm really looking forward to putting some time into this event. If you can master this beautifull beast IMO you are a driving GOD!

THEY will compete head to head / 1 driver against another driver. This means two drivers against each other.

Strange. I thought this was Event 01. I didn't realise that there has already been an array of other events in the past that didn't involve Standard Physics?

I've altered the wording for those who find it hard to understand:

• you cannot post and discuss your final race time
• you cannot post and discuss your lap 1 time
• Do not post any information which can be used to infer a lap time for lap 1

• you can post and discuss your lap 2 time
• you can post and discuss your lap 3 time
• You can have discussions about settings and tunes.

No doubt I will need to change it again, so read it quick.


In case someone still has doubts:

I know exactly what you mean there buddy. Its like they try to hit you as you try and pass them. And talk about when braking for turn 1 lap 2, when that Elise is so likely to punt you.

You did, you did, except for the part of "officially-sanctioned" word into the NEWS section, but it may be a lack of english knowledge from my part. I just get it as if this race could bring GTP penalties or fault would be given.

I know, but for some reason the driver of that Elise is really touchy about his car, atleast he hasn't hit me yet. Which is more than I can say about the Evo drivers

Don't forget you can opt for a slightly different line up by exiting the event and then rejoining it again. 👍

This car is sooo much fun to drive! It may need a more braking power (like a parachute) but other than this, it's great.
Just don't go play on Susuka 750 online with the Elise after playing this event or you will find yourself stopped 200m before the corner.
My times are not really exciting right now, need a little more laps before posting!

Leaderboard initiated

This is the first version of the leaderboard for the first GTP Race Event for GT5 Prologue. It is copied from the GT4 WRS Leaderboard after kind efforts made by its original creator, Luxy/Luke

Here are some directions for reading/using the leaderboard.

1. It only exists pending more sophisticated functions currently worked on by Vaxen, Pentagram and others. Please check this. Also, please feel free to leave your name in that thread to volunteer for any work needed to speed up the process.
2. Maintaining it is quite time consuming so a team of 'updaterers' is currently being formed. Two members will be assigned for each division. They will be announced later on so you can contact your own division updaterer for questions regarding the leaderboard.
3. Please post only the splits or laptimes as determined in the first post of every event published by Sphinx or any other race steward; you will find those splits or laptimes in the leaderboard for that event.
4. Please do not edit your posted splits or laptimes in an original post before a 'leaderboard updated' indication by me or any of other leaderboard update members.
5. When posting splits or laptimes, please also clearly state your Registry division and used device, either in the post text or your signature. If no division is stated, your details will not be copied into the leaderboard. In the leaderboard, the controller device can only be displayed as 'DFP' or 'DS2'.
6. If anything is interpreted wrong or overlooked please mention it in the race thread or PM me.

Invisible walls have been around throughout all versions of the game. The ruling is a standard OLR (Online Racing) ruling and will be used until we are sure they no longer exist. It's basically there to prevent someone from finding a method to improve a time and using it.
