Hmm.. those steering movements look a bit Racedriver Grid-esque (too fast) for my liking and the stages shown don't look particularly amazing. Also, what is up with the audio?

I'm not going to make a proper judgement just yet though, it's still fairly early days. Fingers Crossed!

If you are talking about the second one, I would guess crappy recording equipment, either that or Black Bean hired the chipmunks to promote the game.

Hopefully the steering is because it's being played with a pad, RacePro and GTR games look similar to that when played with a pad.

Great find there. The graphics are looking great, the physics are suspect though. There seems to be a lot of center pivoting in the cars behavior. Or is it me being picky? I hope I'm wrong, or they polish the game further, the narrator was saying it was unfinished.

The more I watch it, the more I'm loosing interest. It reminds me of the early Colin McRae rally games by Codemasters.

Yeah, there's not a hell of a lot of variety in the landscapes. Everything looked the same on the first starge in particular. And what's wide the wide, smooth roads? Every stage they showed had roads of identical width and they looked perfectly smooth - even the edges were trimmed.

They're pretty much the only two cars that compete. Unless you want to race in the Fiesta and the Impreza or compete in JWRC. They'd have been better off making an IRC game.

Watch the video. There are more than 2 cars manufacturers. All the rally disciplines are included.

GT5's WRC is going to be enough. I'm not a fan of rally games. The only thing that could be interesting is the iOpener technology, which is going to be a feature of WRC.

I wonder how iOpener is going to be implemented as they said in the video clip that the tracks are not the official ones.

Right. WRC is obviously loosing popularity amongst the manufacturers. But, it'd be a little silly to release a game like this with only...two cars to race. I mean, can you imagine if GT5 was like: 100 tracks..and 2 cars...WOO! Yeah, not impressive. They could easily include WRC cars from the past. Like the Subaru Impreza, Lancer Evo, Peugeot 206 and more. They could also look at the US WRC and JWRC as they're are more cars there. But, if there's only two cars, I probably won't buy it.

Same here. At first, there were talks about using iOpener system, so you could race the real drivers and even crown a virtual rally champion by the end of the season. Now I cannot see anymore how it is possible, as real stages are up to 40km long and there are usually over 10 different stages, but in that game, it seems like 3-6km long and 6 different stages at each rally and none of the stages are copies of the real stages. They just use some elements.

Well, I really look forward to this game. I like their Superstars V8 NC game very much, therefore have high hopes regarding driveability.

Wow that was one of the worst looking games I've ever seen. And the that was before the crash at the end where the Impreza went into orbit.

We will have to wait and see. To me it looks similar to Dirt 2.

Well that's pretty much confirmed that this game will be a massive disappointment. It's a shame really, it had potential to be really quite something special.
