Oh how I love PSN

PlayStation Network Maintenance This Thursday

Steel yourself!

by Colin Moriarty

July 24, 2012

According to the European PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation Network is set for “scheduled maintenance” that will occur beginning on Thursday, July 26th. The maintenance will last for 16 hours.
(PT).

During the planned maintenance period, the PlayStation Store will be down for all platforms, as will account management and registration. However, Sony does note that “if you wish to play online during the maintenance, then you may be able to do so if you sign into the PSN before the start of the maintenance window.”

I'll sign in before I go to work.

I'm not gonna leave my machine running all day. Last time they did this we were able to get online at race time. Can't understand why it takes 16 hours to do maintenance.

You're picking a heck of a car to start in cockpit view with shifter. Envy and i messed around with it Thursday night. It was fun but crazy hard lol

Up shift wasn't bad, down shift I think I had a 10% success rate. I didn't have time to practice this week so if you see me go head first into a wall or spinning out it means I tried in car view with clutch....

I took up ncrs idea (and borrowed his Ferarri) and was just amazed at how immersive the game is in cockpit with all the hud off. Racing through the streets of Rome with the scream of the f1 engine was great! Thanks ncr, I may drive the stc gt series the sameway

I'm still out. Arm has taken a turn for the worse. Been out of work since last Thursday. I'm now undergoing PT for it. Bone spurs and inflamed tendons in my elbow have strained and misaligned my arm and shoulder muscles. Trying to drive with the intensity needed for online enduro racing is painful. Sucks, really been missing racing with you guys.

Sorry to hear that. Get that arm fixed and rested up. See you soon

I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope PT helps and you're back racing soon .

Get well NCR, sounds awful rough.

Looks like I may miss this race, the wife wants to go to dinner. That could be dinner:) or dinner:(, either way I probably won't make the race. Then I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks, see you guys then.

Idk if I said anything earlier but I'm working so I'm out. Which is probably a good thing cuz I'm a wrecking ball with this thing

I'll miss tonight's race. I've been playing DayZ for the last 6 hours and am super tired.

Well that was humbling last night...... I missed the tranny setup, you guys just pulled away from me on the banking.

Last nights races were fun. We decided to run two 12 lap sprints as there was only seven of us. I think just about everyone had a "moment" of out of control. I know I just about wrecked three times in the second race. Thanks to all that raced last night.

Next week is the finale of the OGR series. It will be good to get back into a car that turns. As. Reminder we will be racing the Citroen GT Race car 630hp at Road Course Motegi.

Good races last night. I can't believe i never spun in turn 1. During practice i couldn't make it 3 laps without flying out of control on that turn. I had to remain fully focused the entire time.

I wasn't looking forward to the race as the car for me was so unpredictable. Turns out it was a lot of fun. There was some close racing going on and everyone seemed to have one of those "Oh Crap" moments. Fun times!

Really looking forward to next week. This will be my first real race on Motegi and we get to do it with the Citroen race car. A car with so much power that your rear tires will be screaming for forgiveness.

Here is an instructional video for those that are not familiar with Motegi. Starts around the 3 minute mark. It helped me with a few turns and may help others as well.

Thanks for posting this. I got some good pointers. I really need a lot of track time at Motegi. I must have run thousands of laps there in Forza, but the track feels different in GT5. I was however surprised I was matching your lap times last night. You must have been REALLY tired. :)
