The official first race of the the series is tonight. We will qualify for the first race and the second race will be based on first race results.

Just a couple reminders; Please be sure to be in my lounge prioe to 9:30pm EST so I can get a head count for the public lobby. Please hold from texting your times from qualifying until all cars have completed there runs. When exiting pit road, please be aware of cars coming down the straight and please use the entire pit out lane. Most of all have fun tonight and I hope everyone has a great race!

See you guys tonight!

I dedicate this song to our past series champion. Lifting of my beer to another great series 👍

The song is 46 & 2 which describes Mikes name. GTP_MIKE46and2. No, the 46 & 2 is not his win / loss record :scared:

Music for me? I am more of a metal guy. Even though i'm not a fan, i'd have to go with the Sick Puppies.

Sorry, my "stupid side" was showing again......

I too enjoy metal. Huge fan of Avenged Sevenfold.......

Anyone else planning on rear ending my car - Just tell me ahead of time so I dont waste my time showing up.

Sorry about the crash into turn 1. It was a racing accident. i dropped the rear left tire under braking and around she went.

I watched the replay red. Before I entered the brake zone I moved right, away from BK to ensure I did not hit him and so you would not hit me if I slowed before you might have anticipated, as I did not yet know either of your racing brake points. After I was in the brake zone I assumed you would be braking at the same rate just behind and file in. It appeared in the replay that your brake zone is a lot later than mine and there was 1 inch less space than you needed as I was setting up for the turn under braking. Didn't mean to squeeze.

I got into BK towards the end of Race 1. He was right on Mike's rear going into the second lesbos turn and I was right behind him. He seemed to check up and I hit the brakes but tapped him. I appologized, as it wasn't an intentional bump and run. I felt it was a racing accident as well. If the stewards could look at that replay and make a ruling.

Great racing last night everyone. Congratulations to JT and Red for their respective wins. Aside from some minor racing accidents I feel the race was success and had some tight pack competition. I personally had a lot of fun in both races and got to run with several different people.

Next weeks race we head to Japan to the mile and a half egg shaped oval. This should prove to be a very interesting race. Remember as you are practicing for the race that we will be exiting and entering pit road on the back straight. This is mandatory. Also we most likely will be doing a double file pace lap and start.

See you guys on the track

I bump drafted you mid way on the 2nd race because you were off the pace (apparently because of a earlier incident) and I wanted to give you a boost. Your race pace was faster than me so I didn't see the sense in passing you just to be in your way a couple laps later. I backed off well before the first braking marker at turn 1. You really checked up and I tapped you just before the first turn. It didn't appear to upset your car, and in fact I ended up against the barrier so trying to help you screwed me over. No worries, I won't help in the future.

BTW, I feel you pain. That's how my races went last week.

I thought you were attacking the inside line when you made that move. This extended my braking point as i had quickly decided to turn in deeper to avoid the bottleneck at the chicane. I did not anticipate you coming back to the left.

Like i said, it was a racing incident. All those decisions happened within seconds. I lost complete control of the car and was just along for the ride at that point.

EDIT: RACE 1 IS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW

Review closed, JT to post the stewards decision

List for rear ending BK at next venue (in a non intimate way)
1) DJ
2) Brett - (I've been missing the Friday Night Mayhem races)

BK wins pole position and the honor of starting this season's OGR Series!

-L2 Jt (#28) dives into the first turn while BK (#31) fights to defend his position

-L2 The first bump between Brett (#40) and I (#26) but not the last...
Autodromo%2520Nazionale%2520Monza.jpg

-L3 Not what you want to see coming at you in your rearview mirror! It appears that Red (17) and JT (28) slightly bump sides and then Red drops a wheel on the grass and thats all it takes to lose control! I would go more in depth but the Replay controls for this damn game are terrible. Long story short BK gets efffed up pretty badly and drops from 1st to 6th

-L3 big cloud of smoke equals lots of carnage. Interesting side note, Bk sustains some damage to his front driver side suspension but Red comes out pretty clean.

-L3 The new guys battling it out. Looks like ableAction (#30) drops a tire into the dirt which opens up the door for Skeletor27 (#6) to pass on by.

-L4 Roadrash (#63) making the squeaky pass on Envy (#46) down the straight

-L4 Mike(#33) in the lead and punishing retinas the world over

-L5 Mike carries to much speed and ends up in the dirt which slows him down enough for red to begin an assault on his position

Race 2 Pics coming...eventually!

Great pictures, dj! Thanks for taking the time and effort to post these up!

Edit: Are the car colors great or what? Looks awesome

Here's another PD screw up.... I painted my car and went back to the factor rims for the period correct look. At the first pit stop I noticed the wheels they were putting on my car were "after market" rims. In the pics above you can see that my car has the "after market" rims on it instead of the factory rims. But if I look at my car they have the factory rims.... Thanks PD!

Good stuff DJ. Looks like a lot of good action up front. I spent most of the time being lonely back in 6th-7th place. Battled with able for a few laps, either he left or got disco'd. Definitely not one of my better tracks.

Stewards Report
Race 1
Drivers BermudaKid and xR0ADRASHx

Stewards understand it is a race upset to have a driver go off in the manner as BermudaKid.

Stewards conclude that BermudaKid did not run off into the sand as a result of a malicious and/or intentional act.

No points deduction.

Stewards would like league members to review best practices and league guidelines.

From the Desk of JT

WE ARE a league comprised of some very unique members. WE ARE here to stay as a group, rotating in and out of our current series races and rotating in a new. WE ALL enjoy racing with each other. Beyond that, it's the community we have established that sets us apart. Let's not allow the heat of a battle to get in the way of our comradery. Are we all the type that push to win? Yes. So now that it's out there, lets rewind the winning spirit a little and get back to basics.
