Besides... he seems like the right person. Miklad's location is Derbyshire and so was the winner's. And the winner's name was Mik

Exactly... So either he read the article and is playing us all.... OR it's actually him :)

You're right..but anyone can say they won a contest and make it seem like they're the actual winner...it just seems odd he wouldn't post anything more than "I designed the livery for this car"

Erm... actually I did design the 458 italia for Le Mans this year - it's been running all season too.

Don't see why I should lie...?

And no - I've never even touched the Forza livery editor you cheeky fecka! ;) We were given a quite strict design-brief with elements that had to appear on the car. I did a few 'whacky' liveries to begin with, but then decided for a more traditional corporate approach - it's a Dunlop sponsored car after all.

The name is Mik Whiting (Miklad is my nickname). If you'd like to see more shots of the car, go to my website www.dynamik-creative.co.uk and click on the banner.

Does that clarify things a bit??

:)

Yes,thanks for proving that...you would be surprised about how many people lie to make themselves look "cool" on here...

No worries matey - just thought I'd back myself up. I can understand why you may have thought it was BS... :D

The timing is pretty tricky..... :sly: I find it hard to believe their measuring time accurate to within a second over a million years. A million years from now the satellite wont exist! But OKAY....I'll take believe it. By using cesium clocks one no doubt gets an accurate measurement of time, but there are other processes along the way when measuring exact time of a particle from point A to point B. A computer has to hit the cesium clock's stop watch button!! :sly:

I WORK AT CERN by the way....and I can tell you most of the timing is done using the Rolex version of the Cesiums.....Expensive but it still takes some time to hit the button.

Yup, he said it.

The modding in GT5 is far from real world capabilities. The '85 RX-7 in this game barely hits 500HP fully modded but my GF's RX-7 (same year but a slightly crappier model then the one in-game) is in the mid 500's & does 200MPH down the highway with ease.

200 mph down the highway? Mmmkay

Yeah, she has been to jail for putting a cop car into a telephone pole.

PS. Her RX-7 has a aftermarket 6-speed in it. That's why it can do 200MPH

Did it have a cool "aftermarket" speedometer that had a "K" where "M" should have been?

Haters gonna hate. We live in America. We use REAL speed measurements. MPH all the way.

Here's another one to hate on. My sis has a heavily modified Geo Metro that does 170MPH in 6th.

Thought this might go in here. Got to love the GT5 section for it's humour.

Haha yep. I also like the "real speed measurement" part. I don't think he knows that metric is what is used in the world scientific community because calculations are much easier when based off 10 scales.

I just don't understand why people lie on here... They get eaten alive every single time.

I'm wondering where it'll got from here. I think the guy has stopped posting about the super fast cars that his girlfriend and sister have. Shame, it was getting funnier.

Haha yes I like the Geo Metro. Like seriously I'd be surprised if they even made performance parts for a Geo.

Went to jail for putting a cop car into a pole? This REAL world we live in with REAL speed measurements (km/h :sly:) is not Need For Speed

I know that guy from another forum and he just talks like that naturally... he's a big talker with very little proof.

He has posted a pic and vid of the FC, but nothing about the Geo.

170 mph Metro...

Would take about 400-ish horsepower. Not getting that on the stock engine... you'd have to find a 2.0 that would fit, maybe an SR20DET, then you'd have to get completely custom axles fabbed up, because no way in hell are re-splined axles taking that abuse.

Of course, then, you'd have to correct for speedometer error with those tiny tires... you'll probably also need to be geared for 200+ mph (on a car that doesn't have shopping cart casters for wheels) to even get close to 170 with the Metro's size fitment...

Pics or shems... errh... shens.

I PMed the Guy requesting supportive evidence. He said the car was his sisters and I asked him for a video or something yet he didn't bring evidence. He just gave me some pics of his sisters cars supposed engine and a rx7 - both that could have had been taken off of the net.

He must not have said "on a downhill run".... he likes to use that a lot too after learning about maxxing out your top speed in Burnout Paradise. :P

Use TinEye on them, if there's 7 quazimodobillion then it's most likely not his sister's car/engine.

The easiest way to verify it is to ask him to write his username on a sheet of paper or cardboard, and then take a picture of the car with his username clearly displayed.
