Are you surprised? ;)

Many of us have said that nothing solid is going to come until

The Game Developer Conference at the end of March (least likely to me)

or

The E3 Expo at the beginning of June (most likely to me).

And... what's today's date? Amar is a good SONY soldier. He won't spill anything without permission, and he's not going to spoil any surprises or press conference events. Besides, this thread is for speculation, so speculate. ;)

Edit: here's a tidbit to get the ball rolling.

I expect GT5 to have on the Blu-ray disc game -no download because of massive size:

400 cars and 80 tracks.

I was saying 500 cars, but I realize that over 100 cars in GT2 were tuner versions or race cars. I'd be very happy with this number, assuming Kaz has GT5 coded with a livery editor and bodykit shops in Tuner and Racing Villages. These shops will allow you to take stock street cars and convert them into high performance tuner versions and pro class race cars. And with a livery editor, you'll be able to create your own racing liveries.

I anticipate all the real and fantasy tracks from the previous Gran Turismos, along with a few additions, such as Batthurst and Isle of Man, and scenic courses such as a run along the California Coast. Also, there will be a few Rally racing additions such as point to point. While I'm not certain, I expect weather and damage both will be implemented, along with Season and Career Modes.

Yeah I know, I am just moaning! :)

You mentioned the Isle Of Mann, damn that would be really amazing for me. I keep meaning to go watch the races over there, as well as take my bike for a spin on the course.

If the Isle of Mann is included, that could suggest bikes may be DLC or an upcoming TT2.

A Le Mans car at the TT will just be mouth watering. Some of the Bigger bikes manage over 200mph on some of the longer stretcheS, as well as some 160mph corners, I can only imagine these corners taken with a Prototype!!

If the info is anything about a GT on a PSP or a PSP2, I'm going to track down amar and cut off one of his feet for wasting my time.

He will be in trouble because I'll cut the other one off if the news is about GT on the PSP lol ;)

i expect more than 500 cars without updates
and a livery editor
and all the features from past GT's

Im going to do some guessing as well now.

Something so big is cooking, you can't even imagine the size of it.

lot's of cars, lot's of tracks, basically anything they had as a target at E3 2005, plus all cars and tracks from the previous GT games.

And there is something else cooking, which you can't even imagine the price of it.

I think this is the DLC version of GT5.. would work on the 180GB PS3, and if you can show you have downloaded GT5P, it's dirt cheap.

And the third thing is also in the oven, but you can't even imagine it's even baking. And besides that third thing there is something else in the oven, I'd say it's the oven itself.

This is GT on the PSP2 no doubt.

And I guess everything will be presented in the gala dinner in the weeks or months to come, but at the E3 latest.

And then you'll find out that day of the Fiest is also known even today.

Wait.. the gala dinner is coming before or latest when E3 happens.. the feast is at the gala dinner? then we are not talking about the release date, but when this will be presented to us.

And yes, my NDA is killing me so much that I can't even tell you how much you should be hungry. But I can assure you it will be the Fiest of the Gods.

omg, the hint lies within the word "Fiest".. Amar spelled it like that and with capital F twice.. HINT!

Jesus came back to life and thats why we celebrate Easter, so perhaps is this when GT5 Comes to lfe???

Nice to see I stumbled upon this thread.

Sounds like GT5 will have free download content (cars and tracks), and it will come out this summer.

lol that thread seems to be turning into a movie...

I'd call it International Treasure: Thread of Gran Turismo

Goodnight everyone

Chris

I think they're just announcing 'big news' while they're really simply gathering our biggist wishes and speculations in one thread.

So they'll just read this thread and put some of the most wanted things of it in GT5:P :sly:

Good website,I signed up just to post the following;

1)Gran Turismo 5 is coming out this year.
2)Yes,Gran Turismo Portable is being developed.
3)No,GT5 will not ship with 1000 Cars.
4)There will be no GT5 information at GDC.
5)Have no information on whether or not the PsP2 exists. If it does, don't expect it to come out anytime soon;the PsP1 is going to have a face-lift this year thus it would be very unlikely that the PsP2 launched anytime within the next 12 months.

I'm a writer for a popular gaming website, and I can guarantee you the above information is not fabricated in any whatsoever way.Things will change down the line, but as of this post, everything stated above is 100% accurate.

And now,I leave.

This will be well received by the GTP community. I'll get the bubbling tar and some torches...

He'll probably end up being right though. None of those claims are very far-fetched. I think it's best to just let him go.

To the Ludicrous Claim thread we go!

-> Hmm, ANY1's article seem pretty valid in my book. He doesn't much rep as Amar as of yet because he's a new member.

-> Welcome to the forums ANY1! :)

Anyone can come up with likely outcomes to look legit, means nothing.

Won't ship with 1,000 cars? BAH, he's fake, we all know they've seen our wishlist.:lol:

Reply to number 2) Maybe more?
I'll rather wait 'til Amar says something than to listen some new member who claims that he is a writer for some gaming site.

So am I. This one.

I assume yours doesn't hold the same values regarding written English as ours - or you have particularly good editors?

For someone based in Croatia to generate fewer mistakes in their written English than someone based in the USA, when both are professional writers, takes some doing.

And this is one of the reasons why Amar is credible (along with providing both credentials and information which has come through previously) and you, as yet, are not.

My thoughts, exactly.
