A new system??? PS4???

I dont think so, in my opinion is talking about ...

- GT5 release

- GT5 Prologue new update

- GT5 new manufacturers (Porsche, Lamborghini, Bugatti . . .)

- New online mode for GT5

- . . .

Just some suggestions! :D

The truth is that amar is leaving us all very curious!!!

This post scares me because it sounds like he's talking about PS4?

We all expect GT5 to have all the tracks we love from GT4 and have multiplayer
This would not be so big we can't imagine unless he is taking about the ginormous news that PS4 is coming

Somethine else is cooking but we can't imagine the price? Price of PS4? price of another Prologue demo? I don't expect Sony to give us GT5 for $20 so what could be a price we can't imagine (HOLY CRAP COULD IT BE GT5 FOR FREE IF YOU BOUGHT PROLOUGE)

And the third thing is also in the oven, but you can't even imagine it's even baking. And besides that third thing there is something else in the oven, I'd say it's the oven itself.
PS4? We knew GT5 was coming and Forza3 already has livery editor so track editor? I don't see what could be so amazing other then PS4

Okay I'm done with my Paranoia :)

There is no way PD are going to give GT5 away for free to owners of Prologue. They're a business, and that is a lot of lost money. Maybe a reduction on GT5 for Prologue customers... but how would this work? Exchange Prologue disc for GT5?

Perhaps the thing about the price is a PS3 price cut... after all, there were rumours regarding price cuts for around April 09.

The oven itself could be some significant feature upgrade to the PS3, or perhaps the PS4 itself (although I doubt this). Perhaps it is a Home game space and some great Home integration.

Realistically, this is my guess:

+ A final update for Prologue including Home integration / game space for some major online feature testing
+ Big, juicy GT5 late this year
+ PS3 price cut and GT5 bundle (this is a given)
+ Perhaps even a word about GT Mobile

PS4? Not for at least another four years.

Sure it's just speculation one way or another, but there isn't any actual evidence or precedent or even a sound reason for there to be a PS4 any time soon.

Not only is the PS3 hardware and software selling very well (despite what some have suggested), but just look at history. From a technical standpoint, when the PS2 was first released nearly nine years ago, it was not nearly as technically advanced as similar products as the PS3 is today... and despite MS releasing a technically superior console nearly two years later, Sony didn't release the PS3 until the end of 2006, nearly seven years after the PS2... and even now, the PS2 continues to sell.

Not only that, but unlike the PS2, PS3 is continually updating it's features thanks to the existing hardware and regular firmware updates - thus when combined with it's already very advanced system architecture, the PS3 has the ability to extend it's longevity more so than the PS2... which is still going after nearly nine years.

There is just no logical reason for Sony to release a PS4 even in the next four years, let alone this year or next or even 2011. They already have an entry level console that continues to sell well (PS2), a state of the art console who's sales are steadily growing (PS3) and who's manufacturing costs are finally coming down, so why on earth would they spend hundreds of millions of dollars to launch a brand new console... especially in the current state of the global economy?

Hype and speculation based on very little to no information, reasoning, precedence, etc... is likely worth what someone paid to get it.

I think it's been mentioned in this mountain-thread but I don't recall seeing the suggestion: If what's cooking is GT5, the oven could be Polyphony and not the PS3. So maybe big changes at PD.

"EA buys Polyphony Digital..." I'll keep a bullet in the chamber just in case :suicide:

Also I have this gut feeling GT5 will make it out by late summer/early fall in the U.S. But yea I'm not holding my breath.

I think Sony are preparing the PS4 for 2011 at the earliest in case MS release a new console. I don't think Sony will be comortable to launch their competitior against a new MS console 1.5 - 2 years later; we can all see what a chunk of market share MS have taken due to their headstart with the 360. I think it all depends on Microsoft - I believe Sony will be comfortable slogging it out with the 360 as (I think) the PS3 has the longer legs.

I think one thing that has not been mentioned yet is that GT5 might be going 3D.
Remember that article from a while ago that they had showcased GT5P in 3D? Maybe that's one of the things.

I think we have the rest covered.. now it's just a matter of trying to figure what it is out of all those options. :)

I would love to see GT series on PC as well. They would have more POWER to work with, more flexible, more cars on screen. damange, weather, etc etc.. on PC there are no limits.

I would give PD a go for PC!👍

By the way if PS4 comes out.. It would be 2012, somewhere around December? (cough cough 21st cough) hahah!

Great and everyone with a PC not capable of something like this wouldnt be able to play it.
Thats crap, Sony would not let them do this because Gran Turismo pushes PlayStation sales.

In another thread...

I can presume full 3D menu that noone of us here can even imagine what will looke like. Some bastard of GT4 World Map and GT5:P scroll menu, but in full 3D.

Hmmm... :)

We may not even see a PS4 for many years. Maybe consoles will be more like PC's and the PS4 will be a PS3 but shipped with a new NVDIA GPU as opposed to the RSX chip based on the 6900 ultra, as I think the 8 SPE's make the PS3 more than powerful enough, tho I think the RSX chip is the weak point or at least may be in the future.

I think that would make more sense, and would cetailnyly be cheaper.

When even news about new hardware, PSP2, and the biggest titles, Gods of War 3 etc., flows, yes I did, at the very least, expect Sony to announce a date for a press event or such.
Wait, you have actual news on the PSP2? Link please.

All I have seen from Sony is basically, "What PSP2?"

PD is Sony, Sony is PD.

The best looking PC driving games look a generation or two behind the PS3 as they need to cater for so many hardware configerations.

I think that depends on the game, Jaguar. I'm sure GRID looks better on a decent PC than the 360 and PS3. Also, FPS' typically look the best on PC (although Killzone 2 is mighty close). I think the PC sims such as GTR2, rFactor et al. don't look as good as Prologue as they are either a few years old or are using outdated tech / graphics engines.

No, its not that easy.
First: Kazunori Yamauchi is the Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan.
Second: Sony has the publishing and franchise rights from the game.

Thats exactly why he can take as long as he wants.....He actually calls shots out there.......almost an unlimited budget.......

I think PD is out of business, GT development has been stopped, and we all are gone to suicide together.

I WANT SOME NEWS PLEASE! THIS IS SO RIDICULOUS! THIS POST!

If you have something to say, say it and that's all. If not, just shut up!

Please.

Theoretically, if EA had enough money they could buy Sony, fire KY and turn Gran Turismo into a brand of dog food. PD can be purchased.

I in no way ACTUALLY BELIEVE or even wish to insinuate that EA is buying PD or has the slightest ability to do so. It was a joke.

No one's forcing you to read or post...so why can't we have conversations and speculations?? Sure I'm just as eager as you to have some news, but we know the latest date that it's supposed to be unveiled, however, nothing is guaranteed until E3 at the latest, according to Amar.

Well we will see what happens but I contacted the manager of PS Home and asked him if he could personally pass on our feelings to the people at SCE/A/E/J and he said that as soon as he gets any info he can tell me he will let me know. Still waiting...

lol.. someone needs a holiday. :)

Seriously, dont like it, dont read it.. i'd rather have the good man Amar say something cryptic like this, instead of saying nothing.

If you knew what amar has posted in the past and what he does for a living, you would understand this is something to get excited about and you would not have written down such a poor post to begin with.

take it or leave it, literally.

I was just thinking with all these people (well me included :) even though I'm whining in my head ) whining and being frustrated about all the PD's flaws and other complains, why don't we make a whining thread? That way every cry baby:scared: and frustrated :ouch: member could spill all the negative stuff there instead of complaining in wrong thread. I don't know if this thread has been made or not.... Just my 2 cent :sly:

Update: Just made this thread :)

We do? I don't.
Having all the tracks from all versions of Gran Turismo should be easier than having all the cars from GT3 plus a number of Ferraris, unless I'm overestimating something. I actually expect this, and at least 500 cars on the disc.
