Ongoing PSN outages

I am now getting the Error when trying to start GT5 and any time I even go to GTlife(which takes 30secs to load)

A Connection to the server could not be established(ID = 2:0). 9 times in a row starting the game and then exiting before I got to the inital screen. 10th time I get to the mode selection screen and I get the error there.


Anyone else having troubles/getting this as consistant? Didn't have this trouble earlier.

It's probably because your PSN login isn't fully logged in (or lagged out, etc). If you log out and in again, it should fix GT5's complaining.
 
Mines havin issues as well since the recent v2.0 update...

AS I log in the nag screen pops up... :Temp Server Issues"

After bout 5 tries I can finally log in

I've fired off an e mail to the author, let's see what he has to say...💡
 
I looked up threads telling you how to fix the problem by manually inputting DNS id and stuff like that, but it continues to give the error message..
 
I have this problem but not only with GTonline... also establishng connection to the PSN... I can use the browser of the PS3 without problems, but when it comes to PSN login it's a nightmare! As I know, SCEE is having problems with some servers, and a lot of users here in Italy are having the same error codes.
All this troubles started on friday.
I think is all due to stupidAnonymus...
 
Having the same problems here in New Zealand. :( Me and my partner have both had the error messages (i was coming here to post a topic about it, but don't have to now).

Also i've been having a bit of trouble signing into PSN for a week or two now. Kinda annoying. :(
 
Here in Paris - France the same kind of problem !!!

Having trouble connecting PSN since about a week and no connection possible at all this morning ? :ouch:
 
A few of us were having major problems yesterday from the UK and Finland, I couldn't sign in to PSN for over an hour and people were getting DC'd from rooms left right and centre.
 
I've been having problems consistently the last couple weeks also, glad to hear it's not just me. Started to think my PS3 was about to bite it. Last night the grey "GT" loading screen was hanging (as usual) and some kid on the street outside was trying to start his busted moped, it sounded exactly like the 4 year old 30 gig hard drive crashing and burning. I jumped off the couch and ran to the PS3 sure that I would see smoke and flames shooting out but then realized the noise was from outside. Was very relieved. I know, I know "cool story bro".
 
The server always had troubles, but I didn't think it was this occasional a few months back.
 
Like a lot of people in this thread, I've been having issues both signing into the PSN, and in getting into the GT5 servers lately.

Last night I couldn't get into either.
 
I'll throw my hat into the ring also, having problems with PSN and now GT5. Would be nice if they gave us warning or an update on the problem.
 
I've been having troubles logging in for the last 24 hours.

Finally this morning, after another 5 or 6 attempts I was able to re-connect. I twice re-booted my router as recommended, but I'm unsure if this was of any help.

I'm already logged into Grantursimo.com, so I don't have trouble getting in there, but when I try to log into the SOCOM 4 forums, which uses your PSN username and password, I get a "server down for maintenance" message.

Been having the exact same problem for like a week now. If the problem shows up, I need to fully restart my PS3, and then it goes away. Never bothers me once I'm connected to a game online (I mean in a room lobby, online) . PSN has also been giving me the 80710092 error everytime I've tried to sign it. It always connects on either the second or third time though. This is true for both my UK and US Accounts.
 
A couple days ago I had connection issues. I log into PSN and the game locks up and wont move, I log off and its fine. Did that for a day, then next day it was ok.
 
I'm getting the connection/ server problem, and having a really hard time signing into PSN :grumpy:
 
Same here, having issues logging into PSN, usually works on the second attempt, but I have to immediately run GT5 otherwise I get the unable to contact server 2:0 message.

This is getting most irritating.
 
Had a few probs tonight loading up GT5,thought it was a dirty disc but kept on freezing.Disconnected from psn and everythings fine.Re-connect and same problems,eventually loaded the game up but took sooo long,gave up for tonight and going to bed!!

Same here for me for the last 24 hours. As soon as I click 'login' via PSN UK I just get an empty window and nothing else.

Definitely something up. :confused:
 
My solution is to, when you get the error message,
turn the PS3 off then on
let the PS3 automatically fail to sign you in
then manually sign in and go on GT5.

Same problem for me. US East Coast. Can run B-Spec remote from PS3 but can't login to the website. I get the white square.

My PS3 also has trouble auto connecting and will fail several times after trying to manually connect. Once I'm on everything is good with GT5.
