i meen,something is wierd there...

Yeah, I'm not sure about that.

Just the effect of R3's after the latest update maybe?

could be,the difference between the r2 and r3 tyres is verry small, and sometimes feels like you have lots of grip during braking and accelerating, only to slide out the corneres sometimes "feeling" like you lost all grip suddenly....
maybe Zheng1337 could be a bit more specific about what he is experiencing??...:)

Right, well basically what it is, is that as soon as I got into 750pp Free Run for Suzuka, the car felt extremely easy to handle, as if it was on standard physics. I then went onto an online race, and the physics felt different. the car felt more taily, as if they were ACTUALLY professional, you know, with all the understeering/oversteering. Then I had another race online, and the car, once again, felt easy to handle, as if on standard physics.

I don't seem to get this at the moment. It's probably nothing.

well, there shouldn't be a difference between the free run in an expert mode race and the actuall racing in that same race...
so,i don't know, will check it out later today...........

Hi,

I share the same feeling, about those weird physics impressions. (free run vs online)

I had a race yesterday, with 8 “TEAM_... (JP)” drifters on the grid. (Absolute respect for those drivers since their attitude on the track was just fantastic!)

Clean and clear run for the 4 remaining “racers”, we managed to overlap the "drifters" 2 times. (Very easily since they anticipatively parked their cars out the track as we came by).

However, the rubberband-boost-handicap messing physics resulted in a slow race: about 7 full seconds gap a lap for me. Breaking at Spoon, it felt as if my Corvette was pulling a caravan.

It has already been said, so I’ll just add my vote here: we need consistent PRO physics!

Ah good to hear the update is finaly there... I am going to my brother tomorrow to try it out.. shame i still dont have a ps3 :( Well... my plan is to get one when the full game GT5 is going to be released.. first i want a 360 for ninja gaiden II :D

greets,
Jeroen

Suzuka physics feel really weird it feels like STD i couldnt even drift when i tried and then i went to HSR 800p and It really felt like pro.

And i'm not the only one thinking that, i dont know what it is but suzuka feels weird

the 5 lap races freakin rock. almost make up for that last update that nearly had me giving up on gt5p

My sentiments exactly! Longer races are one of the key things to improving the online experience. The longer the race = the less frantically people drive in the first few corners = the less bumping & punting. I would love 10 lap + races. 👍

well, it's says standard when selecting the event, maybe that has something to do with it?

But, once you select it it limits the physics to pro, honestly, I'm a bit confused by that too, the whole RBE just makes you think something doesn't make sense in some way.

To be honest, I want to take a break from all this high speed action using only tuned cars and supercars, I want to head back to my Honda Integra or my BMW Z4, Polyphony Digital needs to also take a look at the cars that are missing the action like the Daihatsu Copen, Suzuki Cappuccino or the Suzuki Swift

Where did he compare those two against each other? All he's saying is that they're slower than the ~750 pp cars that are normally raced and that he wants to drive them

Agreed, it has been said many times, but the rubber band effect is ridiculous. Why can't you practice on Suzuka 750 and run your consistent 2:00 laps and then go out during an online race and run 2:00 laps. Dumbest thing in this game and one of the things that would make me go to another "sim" if PD don't get rid of it in the top racing modes of the upcoming updates.

Well, there is something weird going on, and it's especially obvious when using the GTLM at 800PP HSR.

There shouldn't be, but there is. ;) Try my (or any other) GTLM in a free run and then online to see what I mean. :)

what i ment whas that the bmwz4 and civic-r are totally different cars...IMO:)

will try today, but as more and more people are experiencing this, you are probably right:sly:

It has always been this way with gt5p... 👎

Yes, but after the August 1 update it is much more obvious, especially with the GTLM. I am convinced this was not the case before, since I had been racing the GTLM on both Suzuka and Daytona Road quite happily and ofcourse there was a difference between free run and online because of 'dynamic physics', but it was never thís large.

From GT news section:

The next update of online events for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be performed on Friday September 5th at approximately 6am.

Lower PP race with tyre restriction please PD, thanks 👍

Expert Fuji and / or other tracks please!

Must say, I like Expert PP800 High Speed Ring and of course Expert PP750 Suzuka.

DO NOT LOSE THE Suzuka!!!!!!

+1 !!!

We should organise massive online-ban, if they dont give us more good expert events with several PP restrictions. That could give us more power to decide what we want in future. In the end, WE pay their costs, so they really should start to listen what we want. Worst what could happen to them is dead-online.

...but lets hope it's good update this time.

I would say: More expert events (~5 would be nice) and make them all international events so there are enough racers in each event.

Anyone else feeling all these "GTP" own race events a bit annoying?

Its like a new one a day with different cars. If you get used to one then everyone goes to another...

anyways me want 700PP Daytona Road 👍

and Fuji for drifting!
