My What?
This has been the only thing in GT5 that has really disappointed me,whenever you go into a free run lobby online, or you're qualifying before a race starts, mileage is never added to the car you're driving and to your total distance driven(also If you don't finish the race) I know there will probably be mixed feelings on this one, but I for one would prefer to have it calculate the mileage both on the car and in total, that way I have something to show for all that time spent racing online, it also shows which cars I prefer to others. What do you all think? Please take a minute and vote in the poll above.

Should it? Yeah.
Am I glad it doesn't? It definitely has it's advantage.
Less oil changes, engine rebuilds & chassis rebuilds.

I say no unless they also change engine rebuild, or put an option for "Engine Replace" so that you can roll the cars engine back to unused status.

Anything that changes my horsepower or brings me closer to spending money at GT Auto is unwelcoming.

Online free run is so much better than offline because it has no effect on your cars' condition.

I agree with this, make it consistent through out, also add, car body reconstruction after crashes....or i may just be pushing it to far.

shigllgetcha
Is this a joke? This is really the thing you find yourself disappointed in? surely its no more than a niggle

Personally I couldnt care less

No, If i'm spending time online, I'd like to
Have something to show for it..

I agree with the OP. It's one of only a handful of things which bother me about the game. IMHO, if the car moves, so should the mileage meter.

Exactly.

You know, I'm actually going to say yes here. Any sort of mileage put on your car should count towards your overall mileage. I haven't done any online racing to say that I know what everyone is talking about, but even I am aware of something like this. Maybe this gets fixed in a future update or something.
