Online Racing -> Apologies Here!

I wish some people would just apologize and get on with it.

There are people who post an apology, looking to be a bigger man and then follow it up with a diss on the person they just apologized to.

If someone you feel mistreated you in a race, why apologise to them in the first place? You should only be posting an APOLOGY here, not starting a slanging match.

ill race u and beat you while racing clean anyways =P

AKA im calling you out

Hahah, what is the PP on that?

You may very well be faster, I made no claims about that, but you did punt me off several times last night...w/e.

I will be on suzuka 600 later tonight, if the matching gods will it, we will race.

Oh yes, race we will.

Hey folks, this is the "Apologies" thread, not a chat room. ;)
Let's keep it on the topic of apologies, and not "who'll be racing where & when?" topic that it seems to have strayed into.

GTP_SeniorL8R, sorry I took you out at last corner of the last lap at Suzuka 600pp Thursday night! It was a completely bone headed move. I feel especially bad since you race very clean.

no u fail because im a clean driver

I have probably raced against you more than I have anyone else so far. I wouldn't say that your the cleanest driver ever created, but I will say that your not dirty. I believe I have seen you wait on people that you've came in contact with, but you are fairly aggressive. I do though enjoy most of the races that your in. One last night had a guy named blueFerrari. I don't know if you remember him, but the 2 races I was in with him he was very, very fast. It's the first time i've been within 7 or 8 car lengths of a guy and couldn't catch him. I had 2 whole laps at suzuka and couldn't close the gap at all. Any way I will also confirm that you are not a dirty driver.

Everyone im sorry for holding up trafic in the first few turns on suzuka P750 i mean on a Mines R34 i cant corner as fast as the Amuse GT1. and if im going slower people...please pass me dont push me into a pit it gets really annoying when i race fairly being careful when im trailing my opponet and then the same dude puts me into the dirt...

Otther than that GREAT competition guys.

Hey if they can't get around you you're not holding them up, you have every right to hold the racing line with 10 cars behind you, you're only holding someone up if you block them as they try to pass.

As far as revenge goes, I try my best to stay away from attacking someone. The other night I was racing Mkay and thought he was a jerk. I never retaliated. I raced him again the following night twice and everything was okay. If I would have jumped the gun the first night and retaliated at what I thought was him being over aggressive, I'm sure that every time I seen him after that it would have been a disaster of a race. It turned out the first night he was just having a bad night. Now I won't have to worry about getting rammed every time I see him because I didn't try and get him back the first time he made a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone gets mad, but you don't have to act like school kids playing bumper cars at the carnival.

i see your point but if someone blatently stops going down the straight on purpose i dont retaliate to someone who has knocked me off but not blatently on purpose

Apolgies to Dragonistic, JohnnyD and others who were racing 600 Suzuka last night.

My car was all over the place, just couldn't stay on the track! I know I got in the way alot and tagged a couple of you..

Still trying to find a good tune to, match those S2's! Must try harder!

Sorry fellas!

Regards

It's really bad when you accidentally bump someone, slow down so they can pass, and have them purposefully nail you while you are waiting. That just lacks class.

I think you got me only once and it wasnt major, I could tell it wasn't deliberate so it's all good, no need to apolagise to me at least.
The racing was very intense all round last night, contact was unavoidable.

Hey All,

I tried my first online racing last night and just wanted to apologize for any people I may of hit, I started in the Ferrari Beginners track and I have to say it was more like bumper cars at a 100mph than anything else but i guess thats why it is the beginners track, I then moved onto the pp680 Dayton's for a few races and that was a lot better although the thing that got me in there was that when I was doing quite well in 1st or 2nd this guy called rata_tuy [ES] would pass me then just nudged me in the side, it wasn't just once by accident but every time and seemed to be his tactic which I don't get as his car was faster hence he was passing me in the first place.

Anyway I had a great night of racing and will be back on again soon.

I've done that a few times, but my intention is to nudge rather than ram and to tell the other driver, "I appreciate you stopping, now you go first." If I did it to you and you got the wrong impression I apologize.

No it was some guy named AlaskaRacer and he nailed me right into the kittylitter. I caught up to him later and he made a violent move to block me. He got the worst of that.

750pp suzuka was a mess earlier. I was usually 12/12 at the start of the first turn and was usually 8/12 by the end of the esses. I was driving pretty poorly as well but I think that I usually phased out when I screwed up but sorry if I hit anyone.

schwantzz,

But the good thing is ,in the next 3 races I never touched you a single time.:)

And more importantly I hope you noticed I didn't touch you again.

The problem is that I don't know the track (plus racing the car for the first time) and was using the suggested racing line to help me. I was waiting for the red braking point to appear on the track but missed it because I was so close to you!

Do you fast guys race with the suggested line?

I don't use the racing line.

I'm not sure it's car specific either.

Plus when you are following someone you need to be aware of what they're doing ie: where they are braking. And adjust accordingly.

Sorry if i knocked anyone last night on the 500 and 600pp races, trying to find a car that i am comfortable with and at least have fun driving it.

Apologies to GTP_putty for several mistakes I think I caused in the four or five rounds we played together last night. I'm quite the newb especially with pro physics and have just been racing the pro events for a half a week or so. I believe my breaking early caused the one massive tangle up we got into on the high speed corner in Suzuka, and I think I saw you go way wide to avoid hitting me on a later lap in the same place. :)

Appreciated the waitups every time I ran off track as well, sorry I couldn't give you more competition. You'd think an R8 would have no trouble against an Evo (wasn't it non-tuned too?)

Actually while I'm here, apologies to all for any erratic behavior. :) Fortunately I'm usually near the back of the pack where I can do minimal damage. :)

^^^+1
The braking/gear indicator is already plenty of help :)

Yeah, I wish they'd get rid of that for Pro Physics. I know people who have difficulty racing without the flashing red indicator and in my opinion, it would make Pro racing so much more interesting without it...

I always have the driving line on, not because I follow it necessarily but because it's just extra indicators. So rather than "brake at the rumble strips" it might be "brake a second after the brake line comes in"

Until they get rid of boost/handicap, they should keep the red indicator on, as sometimes this is the only reliable indicator of what you can expect your car to do in the coming corner.
