Oookay, who is up for another tuner challenge?

PF
It's okay, there are two RX-8s so I call them Red and Blue. Red is a serious contender, haven't tried Blue.

Shhhhhhhhh D. He doesn't want to know who did what car.

oh that's right, I almost forgot.., :ouch:

seems to be that my Mr. Black is doing better than the rest of RWD lot for now :D

don't get cocky, the whole of RWD division isn't finished yet.., ;)

The way I see it, now that PF has a more civilised controller there's a good chance my Corvette could gain a couple of points.:sly: It's good to have a delicate touch when dealing with 505hp.;)
Of course, I'm not expecting super you beaut results.

This is absurdly difficult. Where we found two clear winners in FWD, out of the ten RWD tested so far, I/we consider seven to be serious contenders.

I've gotta say, the standard of tunes in the 30+ I've made up for this is quite impressive. Even the worst tunes are at least capable and some of the better ones approach the sublime.

Thank you parnelli for your clear and well written opinion about my tune. I really appreciate it, and that is why I love GTP. :)

@PF: I guess we're all waiting with full excitement for you results, I guess the level of the tunes scared most of the "could be-judges". ;)

Okay, I've broken the 'testing blind' policy cause of the interest. Also because I have a new controller and realise have been playing with a faulty controller for my entire GT4 career (if you'd call it that). I'm playing a different game now, the one you blokes have been playing for about four years.

Anyway, Leo and Supra will be marked down due to the quatlity of entries. Drifting's rx8 is a contender. The three 70s cars are effing awesome. That's all I can think of...

Doesn't it make a world of difference when you've realised you've been playing with faulty equipment?? :D Hope you're loving your new improved GT4 experience PF. ;)

Well as long as the testing is being done with more accuracy the better I feel about the results. Again I must cop me testing on the wrong course, as Parnelli pointed out in his TCv4 judging of my 350ZX. AND again I'll be looking into the problems outlined to improve my little purple baby :odd: with a test on GVS instead of Sarthe II (gots to stop testing low powered cars on this course :banghead:)
And lets all be nice kids....for those not in N.S.W. Australia, we just had an average of 44c(111f) for 4 straight days and 60% humidity, here in Sydney, on top as an average, being a sub-tropical/semi-arid part of Australia :scared: AND we lost the cricket :grumpy:

Now that you mention it, I'm not sure if I made the Grand Sport for all out handling, or like my Shelby Cobra, for a little bit of sideways fun. Anyway, am I to understand that you experienced oversteer while trying to trail brake? Because if you raised the front bias and lowered the rear it would have made more understeer. Additionally, by changing ride height you can't change weight distribution, from what Scaff tells me.

Edit: By the way Parnelli what was your lap time in it?

You misinterpret what Scaff says.

Changing the ride height moves the center of gravity around and thereby the weight distribution.

Also, in GT4, some cars oversteer more with less rear brake ;)

While cornering.......

That's just crazy!

Edit: Although this doesn't change the fact that I have done poorly, I've entered the wrong car in the wrong tournament.:P

C4 vette that doesn't turn? what did you do to the poor car? :odd: I clearly remember Clarksons review of C4 vette, probably one of the coolest reviews he ever did.. especially the end

Clarkson did a review of a C4 Corvette? *Runs to YouTube*.......

Edit: There's no video of said review.:indiff:

Luckily it wasn't me who tuned that Corvette, I stole it off some guy called nd 4 holden spd. I clearly know much more about tuning than he did.

yes he did. lemme see if I can find it for you.

:lol::lol:

hey Paulie, why don't you try watching Top Gear episodes on watchtopgear.net ??

I was going too say that JC has changed a lot but actually it's good too see he actually hasn't changed a bit.

Oh and, HOW AWESOME were those headlamps.

Because this will do.. gotta love the hairdo.. :D

Easily the stupidest video I've ever seen, nothing to do with the car's performance. WTF is people's problems with American cars? All the people going on about how sucky they think they are when in reality they perform quite well.

I'm glad to see that you haven't changed at all either. ;) C4 is a good looking car ( I rate it above C5 and C6 ), but that particular one had a 4 speed auto tranny which alone was good reason to feed it to the wolves.. er, coyotes in this case, that being bonneville salt flats and all. and if I recall right, it also has digital speedo ( yay for 80's ), and if memory serves, those lights are pneumatically operated.. which means that if there's single leak, your lights won't flip.

Well anything with a 4spd auto I can understand hating. Unless it has over 1000hp and does 1/4miles a 4spd auto in anything is plain wrong.

Think of it this way CamryFan.....think of my GME Clubsport R8 that you tested. Would that be more than a 41?? ;) I have faith in my Hilux getting more than a 41. :sly:

Yeah I realised that flaw in my argument after I made that comment. If it's tuned as well it will be on for a good mark.
