I want to see a filthy, dirty looking sportscar at Daytona, the Nurburgring, Spa or Le Mans. At dusk AND at dawn. In one of the picture's it's windshield wiper is not at it's normal stationary position.

In another picture I want to see a destroyed Ford Mustang. It is sitting in your own personal salvage yard. A replay icon floats above it so you can view what hapened to it. The magazine explains the car's frame has been weakened after getting hit in the passenger side door, so it is no longer useful for racing. However, you can get any worthwhile spare parts off of it to use in other cars. If you're done with the car you can sell it to the scrap heap for a certain amount of credits or you can hang on to it as long as you want.

Wheel only would be nice but it won't happen. Apart from games that use the camera sony insists that all games are compatible and useable with the normal controller.

I would want to see a nice pic of damage with a little text underneath saying something like all cars can take damage.

I don't want to see a livery editor either, thats too NFS for me and something I feel GT should stay away from. A paint shop isn't a bad idea though, especially if you win a car thats pink or some other vulgar colour. But it should only be a paint the whole body thing.

And most of all I would like a release date so I know what week to book off work.

Amar, when you say "wheel only" you mean "GT5 only playable with a wheel"? I'm sorry, but I must say I disagree. I mean, not everyone can afford a PS3, let alone a PS3+Wheel just to be able to play GT5. I would die of a heart attack should that happen.

I'm going to make amar's list a little bit longer by adding a few hardcore features and some non hardcore features.

Fantasy photos with...​

1. I want to see a car with a license plate which you can create/personalize yourself.
2. Photo realistic graphics
3. Interior view on three monitors creating a perfect peripheral view.
4. A photo which shows full realistic real time damage => visual as mechanical and electronical, with 6 DoF's.
5. I would like to see a photo which shows a car that crashes into a tire wall, scattering the tires on inpact => deformable environment (also visible tire marks in the sand and grass).
6. Point 5 means that there are no invisible walls anymore.
7. A couple of photos which shows cars getting dirty and wet, showing the windshield wipers in action.
8. A photo which shows the menu with the options to change the tire pressure, tire temperature.
9. A Lamborghini with a blown tire.
10. I'd also like to see a photo which shows tire marbles left on the track and (a photo can't show this) rubber of the tires that gets deposite on the track during racing.
11. A photo which shows a car that goes off track due to wind effects. This car leaves dirt on the track which influence grip.
12. This is physics related: realistic engine braking (if you are in H-pattern and you miss down shift and you revv the engine too high, the wheels should lock up. Realistic over and understeering .
13. Hood/bonnet view.
14. A photo which shows the PSP as a rear view mirror.
15. Better replay system (possbility to choose between different camera positions, FF, REW, slow motion, pauze). Switch between cars, so you can see yourself driving if you switch to a car that drivers behind you.
16. Realistic illumination of the environment by the headlights during night races.
17. An anti skid track where we can learn car control (defensive and offensive)
18. PS Eye as a tracking device.
19. A photo with an interior view with the HUD turned off.
20. Like has been said by many other people: working reverse lights.
21. Model the entire car, not only the visible parts i.g. the engine (I don't mean cars like the F430, GT, R8 etc..), the suspenison, chassis panel behind the bodywork, etc... .
22. PiP feature during replay. (possibility to watch 2 different views at the same time during a replay).
23. A photo of the menu which shows the option of a game generator, which chooses a track and a car in the free racing part of the game.
24. A photo on which you can see people from PD scanning the tracks with lasers => laser scanned tracks.

I expect so much from GT5 ...

No, that's not what he meant. He reacted and clarified my post above his, where I said that I want to see a photo with a menu which says: arcade, professional, simulation, hardcore!

They'd have to make so that we can see the gauges though. In the Mustang and the Viper, you can't see what the gauges say at all... I just thought, maybe an additional cockpit view right around the chest, so you can see the gauges more clearly... or have a PIP ,like in airplane simulators, that shows the gauges? There's so many possibilities with this game!

I'll settle with pics of a porsche cup/league passing the starting line with the sun set low.. full grid and driving into the night on a wet circuit because it had just rained... and some porsches are in the pits with full pit crew changing the tires from wet to intermediate.

Oh by the way I know this is off topic but what would you think about team radio, listening to the team manager as you are driving along to tell you other peoples pit stop strategies etc.

I don't understand what the fuss is about wanting customization features in the game. A stock car that looks like a racing car will never be able to compete against a race car. It is merely an imitation.

Actually, it can, there are series of racing where the car engine/suspension keep stock, but it gets some aerodynamics and less weight by removing stuff, just to see what car has the best stock suspension/engine in a race.👍
