👍 If I can make it, I'll be there.
Is anyone up for a practice session in the Silvia tomorrow night, say around 8 pm? Perhaps 10 minutes qualifying then a 8-10 lap race at 2 or 3 different tracks? I can host and set things up, but I am on call so there's a small chance I might get called in to work, so maybe someone can sign up as back up host or just take over if I have to leave or can't make it.
Maybe Grand Valley East Reverse and Nurb GP/D?
Sorry guys, it's been a hectic week/weekend and I haven't been around. In the past I've always done my graphics/thread creation at work (with the good computer/software) but that's not really an option anymore so I kinda have to re-invent how I do this. Things should calm down this week and I'll try to get on it.
I should be around tomorrow night for some Silvia racing. Maybe once we get a taste if some racing action it will help me get my butt in gear. 👍

BrandonW77Yeah, if you can call being in Anderson "alive".just had random stuff pop up just about every night for the last week....including helping a buddy shop for a car and the successful completion of a 2 lb. hamburger challenge!
We'll be back to racing soon though.![]()

BrandonW77I'd be shocked and dismayed if you left the Subaru family, but that Focus would be an acceptable substitute. I've driven a 2012 WRX, freakin beast. I pay no mind to the other vehicles you mentioned.![]()
Naptown25rsI'd be hard pressed to buy something other than a Subaru, but I'm just kinda "meh" with them here lately... I'd really like to wait for the 2014 redesign to purchase a WRX, but my RS just turned 191,000 and I'm at the point where I should get something just in case the worst happens to it. AWD isn't a big want with this purchase because I'm not getting rid of the RS, it just needs to take a break and get some TLC. I've always liked the GTI and the interior is definitely a step above the WRX, as is mpg's... I need to test drive both again, it's been a while.
OwensRacingCORVETTE Gets 30mpg highway.
Used Evo 8/9 so you can go fast and still have AWD and some mpg's.
Otherwise the Ford would be a good option.
Naptown25rsI'd rather walk than drive an Evo...![]()

OwensRacingHah thats your own fault.
Soooo do I get the chance to alter your mind when my junk is on the road? Looking at a solid 500 whp. Built drive train and upgraded suspension as well brakes. Didn't over power the chassis I'm saying. Should retain its good stock balance in power handling and braking.![]()
Naptown25rsEvo's aren't bad cars, but moving from a Impreza to a Evo is just blasphemous... I'd never be able to live with myself.
TorzillaI never said Evo's where bad cars, its just the people that drive them that get on my nerves. Im all about team Subaru, 15 years running the only car brand I have owned through thick and thin. Through blizzards, avalances, wildfires and closed interstates my outback has never let me down.
Ah the rich kid who's parents had no clue they bought their son a 300hp four door monster and they go wrap it around something. Those Evo drivers.
Yea I pay almost Vette insurance rates on my Evo cause of this type of drivers.
TorzillaMy point exactly, I bought mine at 19 I still drive it at 34, runs like a champ. Its only 130hp but it alwaus gets me from A to B.
Thats a nice story, I learnd to drive stick my freshman year of college. I would ask to borrow someones car and if they asked if I knew how to drive stick I would say no, if they wouldnt ask Id take off. It was funny ,I got through part of a Land Rover Rally course in my roommates 1970 series I A, the keys fellout and the truck kept running, I thought that was normal. And by freshman year I mean the first semester before I got kicked out.
Anybody else get the impression that Torzilla's life is far from boring?![]()
Me.
Tip: Don't create an Eifel kart track then pause and let the AI cruise around the track to break in a car. They go 14 mph. Currently on lap 178 of 200, 20 and a half hours of driving.
I final have found the fastest way to break in a carFor those who don't know:
What I didn't know is you don't have to complete a race to have the miles count toward your mileage. By using the Indy 500, your car can run almost flat-out, maximizing the amount of miles that can be racked up in the shortest amount of time.
Step One: go to the setting sheet, and go to setting sheet "B". We're going to leave "A" stock, unmodified for Spec racing.
Step Two: we're going to add some horsepower and drivetrain options to the car to make the car's average speed at Indy faster.
Inside the car tuning sheet B, buy all the parts. Turbo, supercharger, suspension, etc. Remember, only buy the stuff inside the sheet. If you buy something in the GT5 life menu for buying tuning parts, you may accidentally buy something you can't remove (weight reduction, engine, stuff like that). Remember, only buy stuff you can remove.
Step Three: go to the B-Spec races list and select Indy 500. It should be under the endurance events.
Step Four: once it's loaded, go to your car's tuning options. First add racing medium tires, second lower the suspension to the lowest setting, third set your brake bias to 0/0.
Step Five: start the race. If you notice your car bouncing off the red limiter down the straights, exit the race, got back in the tuning options, and adjust your transmission's top speed accordingly.
Step Six: start the race again, get some work done, leave the house, rake some leaves, watch TV. Then come back in a little over an hour, check on your Bob, and quit the race once he's past lap 76. That should equal 200 miles. At 200 miles, you car should be fully broke in. Only a couple cars need more.
Step Seven: after you've exited, go to GT auto, change your oil, rebuild the engine and chassis. Then go back to your garage, open up your car's tuning sheet, set it to sheet A (untouched default), and you're ready for Spec racing. 👍
