I use the Indy B-spec race to break in cars. Takes about 1 hour 30 minutes for a supercar or race car to be broken in. The only thing you have to do is to buy racing tires and to remember to come back to exit the race after 80 laps.

Don't try and daisy chain routers. What a pain in my rear. Once this method failed me. I thought man all I need is my current working router moved closer to my rig. Duh use long network cable I strung for daisy chain as the connection between modem and router. Now router is next to rig. Click, click, click the ps3's and viola wired connection.

I was trying to run without ABS last night and struggling with the sound. Since the last update sounds have been disappearing when you get close to other cars, but it doesn't happen with the Silvia's all running together. So now instead of not enough sound, I have too much sound because the exhaust notes of the other cars are loud. Means I can't hear my tires and in order to get the braking down right without ABS you have be able to hear your tires well or at least I do. Running alone I can run competitive times, so I'll work on this sound issue because I'd really like to run without ABS

I have yet to experience any of these sound issues people talk about. At least not that I know of. When I'm close to another car it is slightly louder than my own car but it's been like that since day one so I guess I've just adapted to it.
I do normally race with the Turtle Beach headphones on, wonder if that's why I don't notice it?

In a Parity Race on Monday, for the first time in weeks, I could actually hear my own car when I was battling Sag for the lead in the final few laps. He was in the same car as me, the Mini. Every other race against different cars, the sound always disappeared. Last night with the Silvia's I could also hear my car, but the exhaust of the other cars was drowning out my tire sounds. I'm thinking it's possible the sound issue may have something to do with differing cars based on the last two nights of racing.
In other races it was so bad, you virtually could not hear your car at all, it was like someone threw a foot of insulation over your speakers, and I play mine really loud. In the last few weeks driving without ABS, I found being able to hear your tires is critical so that sound screw up after the last update really, really sucked

I'm excited for it! It was one of my favorites in GT4, and I've been burning it up in the GT Academy game. Can't wait!
On the other hand, I'm pretty bummed that we are getting the Saturn FR-S instead of the Subaru BRZ... Boo!

Looks like there is going to be some hella drafting on the Motegi road course! Look at all those looooong straights!

They aren't too long, plus they all have slow corners before them. If the Silvia can handle Grand Valley, they should be fine here.

^ Sweet. I can't say that I recall racing on this track before. I did play GT4 quite a bit so if it was on there I probably drove on it but I don't remember it. I think I've only watched a small handful of races there too, so just not very familiar with it.
At the very least, I will use at least one of the configurations for the Silvia season so if/when it does become available I recommend that everyone interested in running the next season should purchase it. 👍

The longest straight on Motegi gp is 762m. Monza's longest straight is 1120m so we should not have any problems

Ill be around tomorrow, I have a race with the Capp guys at 4 but I should be able to run Silvias by 5. Has the DLC been released yet? If so I have to buy a network card and Im too lazy to look at the news page.

It takes about 2000m to get near the Silvia's default max speed of 166 mph from 100 mph without draft. Even with ideal drafting, there's no chance of reaching the max revs in the Silvia on the Motegi road courses.
I'd recommend using the East course and the West course during the Silvia season. Both should be good for close racing.

Of course. Personally I find it strange when people don't buy them, unless they can't get PSN cards or prepaid credit cards at the store, AND have no debit or credit card, but that's pretty rare. The DLC's are so cheap. I'll gladly get it and I don't even like Motegi a whole lot. The east course is cool though, and GT5 badly needs that oval
