Gentlemen there is some talk about a Saturday night endurance series using the NSX RM.

Spec Race no tuning

Hards and Mediums - will start race on Hards and after ten laps tire choice is open.

Races will last roughly 1hr with a 1.5 or 2hr final race

This is rough specs of what is being hashed out

Just wanted to put this put there for those that have Saturday Nights free to ponder on.

If interested please hang loose we will have a discussion thread up soon.

Who? ORCA?

Yes ORCA sanctioned event. I'll be doing most duties with Brandon's help.

This way we can have a weekly series for those that like that format and still be ran like Brandon would. With out him being tied up with Record keeping and full blown commitment to it.

Sounds great! Hopefully the weekly series format will draw a better attendance... I really like this car, think it will make for some excellent racing. 👍

Nothing in particular, but starting events at or before 8 EDT is usually more convenient for me.

Schedule something like this:

7:30 EDT- Room open

8:00 EDT- Qualify Starts

8:15 EDT- Qualify Ends

8:20 EDT- Stack grid

8:30 EDT- Green Flag (earlier if we're lined up)

9:30 EDT- Finish

So, Tuesday is Alfa Brera @Rome day or some other cars too? Hope I can finally make it this week, but I'm gonna need to practice my downshifts...

BrandonW77
^ Yes, just the Brera next week, no other cars. Either at Rome or Eiger.

Anyone gonna be around to do some Brera testing or any other random racing today?

I probably will be later, just started watching the Indy Car race. Maybe early evening.

I was playing rFactor today, made a pass that I just had to show you guys for old time's sake:

I was hoping it was the 69...
Still a good car though, cya guys on track 👍

P.S. I tested the 430 Scuderia already, for a "Ferrari" I thought the handling was iffy. Fun car to drive still.

I tested the '69 Camaro too, that thing is just not at all fun to drive in stock form and doesn't have enough gear for any track with a reasonable straight-away. It's ugly as sin too. I'm still a bit undecided on tires for the '10 Camaro RM, coming out of the first chicane at Monza it really wanted to spin on RH tires (the rest of the track it was a dream). Putting RM tires on made it a bit easier to get the power down, but tire wear will be increased. The races probably aren't long enough for tire wear to matter though.

I thought the Scud had surprisingly good handling for a Ferrari, especially on SS tires. It's quite forgiving around Rome, at least compared to the Alfa or Capp.

It's just felt dead when I drove it on SH tires.
SS tires must help.

I turned some laps at Eiger and Rome yesterday in the Brera, it really is a great car to drive... I've not had any real experience with it before, but I am definitely looking forward to racing it.

This league seems like it was made for ME!! lol

I really hope it's not too late. I'm definitely going to register

I have raced the Camaro RM in the IROC series. We had it on RH tires, full tune, no supercharger though (power limited to 611hp). Granted I could adjust the LSD, but I thought it was very drivable on RH tires.

Tom, you're welcome to join us, but we may have to do something about that screenname. Send a friend request to ORCA_Champ.

Around the rest of Monza the RH tires were great, but putting the power down coming out of the first chicane really wants to make it spin. We could do away with that chicane but I'm not sure if it has enough gear to handle the draft. Up for some testing later?

Not sure how long I will be on tonight. If I practice anything ORCA it would probably be the Alfa (since we have time on the Camaro - need to build and break in a new one too). I might let my 125 kart run all night at London too (if anyone sees me on and I dont respond).
