I'll have the ORCA_champ lounge open shortly after 8pm BST tonight for some racing at Eiger. Turnout has been a bit disastrous for this time slot, so if anyone is around I'd be grateful of the company!

what is bst in gmt or utc?

I finished last at Eiger.

^^ After watching the video below I see I didn't give you enough room when I was trying to pass. Sorry about that, just knew I couldn't miss any overtaking opportunities.

And what wheel do you use? You seemed to be able to toss your car around like it was a light weight RWD. I couldn't use your lines.

Cool, nice to watch an ORCA race from my computer.
I really like the way PD made sector 1 at this track, very technical and fun.

I will have my car ready for racing.

Thanks to the new guys Edwin, Hugo and Cote for showing up last night and some good. close racing. Pleasure to have you aboard.

Unfortunetly my DSL is down, I am back to phone modem 41KPS until tomorrow, good news is I have my new modem that should allow me a better connectivity to PSN, but not before tomorrow, Have fun.

The Orca_champ lounge is now open. Qualifying should start around 9pm bst.

Great racing today with Carracer, RDA, Edwin and myself! The second race was anyones until the last couple of corners...

Great racing with Owens as well after the first two races!

Car, I disagree. You were golden. The outcome of my race was of no fault but mine. I overdrove and coursed out all by myself. It was also my doing to stay off the racing line and stick to fencing as to not slow down your next laptime. Afterwards I made a scoot across the track so that I wouldn't be a visual distraction near the line for the rest of the pack coming through. I know when I've thrown it away. If you are referring to the back and forth through the esses prior to that, it is the nature of that course and I did not properly adjust my line for the situation.

I also must apologise to Hugo for running wide during one of the races at Rome. I saw you push and go wide at turn in and once I entered the turn I thought I was clear of you as I tracked out. I apologise for the contact there.

I use what is now a rather worn G25 wheel, stock except for a replacement rheostat on the throttle pedal. The bearings have worn giving the steering shaft has a bit of endplay and they need replacement, but it doesn't seem to affect the operation at all. The stock rheostat had worn out and after repeated cleaning and having to recrimp the rotor housing to the base I became tired of it. In the end the original one would still get full throttle, but when I would lift it would not return to zero, keeping the car at part throttle. This caused a bit of understeer in most cars, so upon replacment I was forced to relearn a few things with the increased turn-in ability. My lines had to change in certain circumstances, and in others only my approach would need adjustment.

Others threads have people pointing the finger at each other. Our thread had people fighting over taking the blame. :sly: These aren't points races so I sometimes take chances I wouldn't normally take. :dunce: I'm still impressed at how well we got through the esses two-wide on the first lap!

BIG 👍

I think I went two-wide through the esses in every race today with minimal to no contact... Definitely shows the class of racers we have in this group.

It was great to race with you guys. Lots of fun. Sorry I forgot about last night. For some reason I thought it was tonight. I'll be in tomorrow but sadly I gotta work during the race Saturday.

Hoping for a good turnout tonight. We had a ton of fun with this car/track combo on Tuesday so get your Brera out and head to the mountains for some great racing action! I'll have the lounge open around 8:30pm EDT and we'll start qualifying around 9:30.

Is anybody else jonesing for an update? I feel like the last couple updates left some things semi-broken and I have been waiting for things to get back to normal. I'm finding that the longer we go without an update the more my interest is starting to wane a little bit, I get the impression I'm not the only one who feels this way. GTP has been terribly boring for the last couple months, no interesting threads out in the general population at all. Even the online racing forum has been boring. I don't care what kind of update we get, but we need something soon.

A GTR? No way?? What are the odds of that rare car showing up in an update?

I will miss this evening's races. I have to prepare for a real race tomorrow and must be asleep in a few hours. I wish you all the best of luck, and I will catch you folks next week.

I will be on in a bit...just got home and need to get the kids down. Haven't driven much in the past 2 or 3 nights, looking forward to some door to door action.

I'll be in tonight. I'm taking a drive around targa florio with my Lotus 49 in rfactor but I'll stop by 830 to join you guys (I'm hoping I can finish 1 lap in the next 40min ,probably not though, it's 72km long)

The ORCA_Champ lounge is open and full of fresh mountain air. Qualifying will start at 9:30pm EDT.

Thank you all for restarting the race and allowing me to get in. Very classy.

Was able to snag a podium with no practice. Just got inside from being on the road. LoL

Anyone up for some Scuderia practice this evening? I should be on after 7pm EDT if anyone's interested.
