When you guys left I sampled the X2011 around Spa ... It's pretty much like the 2010 but it has a tonne more mechanical grip, especially around the last chicane. Maybe it was the 1'07.xxx lap times that got me thinking how spastic it is.
I'll be running during the day and after work tonight... And I hope you boys stay away from the R:Softs, I wanna feel some oversteer ;-)

Hey boys, glad to see most of us all had a pretty good race. Thanks for the photos and commentary Bronco!
However I'll just clear one thing up; my off track experience was no fault of my own...I was given a sneak peak into next week by a red car that was traveling at the speed of sound.
I'm not unhappy though, just so long as no-one gets the wrong idea; thinking I was a complete PLONKA and just ploughed into the wall because I missed my brake marker by a light year.
Enjoy the DLC boys...hopefully there will be more where that came from.

No worries Rusty, to be honest I didn't watch the incident on replay as rewinding takes you back to the start of the lap... and if I did that every time I wanted to check out an incident I would have been there for a few more hours.

Here's what just happened . . . my day.
I went to the local shopping center to buy a PSN card from EB games
( Just a bit of backstory, I've been going to this shopping center for 15 years and twice before games shops have opened and failed shortly after, and EB games has opened a few years ago so I try to shop there when I can )
I go to the guy behind the counter and ask about the cards. He goes into a full story about how they don't exist. Saying that they used to have them but that stopped when the PSN hacking occurred earlier this year and that they're still waiting for the new ones to be released.
I standing there looking at this guy thinking
"yeah right", I'm happen to know you're talking bull:censored:. I know these cards are out there as I've got a thing at home called the internet and have read a bunch of forum posts from people I know that they have bought and used the cards.
I chose to play along with the guy, "Ohh so do you know when they'll be coming out??", he says not sure and that now everyone who buys from the PSN store has to use their credit cards.
I say OK, then walked down to Big W and there's the PSN cards out on display on a rack. Which I proceed to buy.
* Funny thing in the middle of writing this up I got a call from Evan, I tell him what happened. He had gotten the exact same story from the guy at his local EB games and then gone to another store to buy a PSN card.
What annoys me about this is that they are flat out lying. A PSN user should be able to make the choice "I want to play it safe and use a pre-paid card". PSN was hacked on a massive scale, that was a serious thing. As consumers we have the right to choose payment options, and in light of what happened, a lot of us don't want to use our credit card. To lie to someone and say that the PSN cards don't exist and that we have no other option but to use our credit card is mis-information of a serious nature.
If it's a case of EB games not stocking the cards? Seems odd that they wouldn't, but Evan did encounter the same thing. So that's 2 stores out of 2. But what does the guy behind the counter stand to gain if I go home and use my credit card, the purchase goes straight though PSN. EB games were never going to get a sale.
My guess is he just didn't want to tell me go to Dick Smith or Big W for the PSN cards. That I'd see the better prices or something and shop there in future.
I might go in there tomorrow and ask if they stock wheelbarrows. See if he tells me that they don't exist.

Mick , I had no previous experience with buying PS Store vouchers or whatever until last weekend. I went into JB and bought $30 worth of PS Store credit.
There was no actual "card" just a receipt with a code on it. Just like recharging a prepaid phone. Worked fine last night when I used it too.
Sounds like the guy at EB is just uninformed. He can't sell you what you need , probably doesnt know whats out there either... ?

Hi lads, feel partially responsible for this one given previous advice. I work in the middle of the Sydney CBD, so the other day I did the walk around and EB's flag ship store in George St didn't have them on the rack (like JB's do) but said they could provision one if I wanted one. I then went to JB HiFi also on George St and they also had them. Yesterday I was doing the "work from home thing" so I walked down to my local Shopping Mega Complex at Chatswood Chase and EB Games guy there where I got my GT5 Sig edition from didn't have them BUT said they where trying to get a provisioning system and pointed me to JB HiFi in the Westifield complex up the road and also said you could get them from Coles. Weird.
Sounds like the EB games store you went to, you got an employee who really didn't care about decent customer service, his job or gaming generally. Service is always a bit a lottery in some of these franchise stores.

PS - how's this kuffle with the whole issue of not being able to share the DLC between mulitple accounts on the same PS3 ? The news forum is running hot with angry punters who reckon SCE and or PD are going for a blantant grab for cash and wrapping it up in a tech issue as to the reason why it can't be done.

Oh I was able to get a card. Using the 12 digit code thing, as per:
Sorry Spinner, I know my write up was kinda long, I can see how you might have missed that bit.
It's all good, DLC installed, drove a few laps around Spa in a LMP, quite a challenging track. Will take a little while to get a grip on it.
Edit: to jasr73, yeah it really sounds like a EB games issue.

hahahahaha willco, a... SALE!? they never have sales... i hope it last for a while because i was looking for a bunch of games that are 8 years old that the store could obviously not sell!

Has anyone else noticed that when you look in the settings for there drive chain for all the new TC cars that you can't install an adjustable diff as is is already fitted, but when you go to adjust it it doesn't show. If you look in the settings sheet it is set to default, 10/40/30. Now if I have a car with cronic oversteer or understeer that this is one of the first things I adjust. Should make setting up the RX7 a lot of fun.
What do you think happened here?
I haven't modified any of the cars yet apart from colour and wheels, as Oni's request but FFS we need a adjustable diff
