That was one eyes plan for the Wednesday series he postponed in December

Yeah I remember that, BUT.. the chan_man's idea was divers could choose which category they drove. It may be better if tier1's get to pick only from a list of GT500's, and tier2/3's from a list of GT300's.
I imagine we would then have 2 sets of championship points.
However.. would the finish time delay (i think is about 180 seconds) be enough to allow both categories to finish??

I don't think so after an hour of racing, it does bring lapping back into the fray tho, I love the challenge of choosing a path to overtake lol

Hey guys, I'm in for the next series unless the spot has been taken, which is fine as I basically had to retire this series as I couldn't make hardly any of the races due to internet incompatibility.

I should be able to make every race as long as the internet issues don't resurface.

I'd be down for the no tuning option, but I'd be happy to run in anything.
Just keen to be able to race again!

Yeah, this whole incompatibility is ridiculous, if you took the same group, and told us to join in other game on the PS3, 10/10 we could all join no problem. I'm certain of it.
Even upgrading to faster internet barely helps at all.
But from the two races i've had in this race series have been really good, especially the first race.

A series without you isnt a series worth having imo. ;)

So you are definitely in for the next one.

At the moment we are working through cars to put up for suggestions. So if you have anything you want be sure to make your voice heard.

What has already been decided is we will be running a tuning series again. So it's now a matter of which car.

I had the GT5 disc out of the PS3, had watched a bluray the other night and never put the disc back in.

Well I just went and stepped on it - didn't see it down there. Snap!!

Damn annoying :grumpy:

Good thing is that as a now older game it's sorta cheap now. But still. :ouch:

That's unlucky mate. EB or GAME should have them in the bargin bins. Try JB even.

I'm always ganna join Oni's races, but if you ARE looking for everyones opinion, I'm all for tuning. I loved the ISF series as wayn said before, probably the funniest series so far, It's because you actually needed to sort out a different tune for each track with that car or you would not have the pace. That seperated the folks that jumped on and raced and the blokes that put time and effort into sorting out a nice tune for the next track.

Maybe we just need a car similar to the ISF? In that I think we all agree its a nice car, but extremely over pp'd.

Just my thoughts, but as I said I'm keen for anything except rec cars haha

I love the ISF as well, great to drive and plenty of power and a fantastic looking beast. Also some epic battles all season. I still get the ISF out for online racing and also for seasonals. I'd love to see it make a comeback sometime, even for a one off race.
This car and the series was fantastic and it did sort the legends from the pussies!!!

Anyway better be off, I have a saucer of milk waiting:)

I had a few races in the IS-F yesterday , still a very competitive car for the PP. We should do a one off enduro with them ..... for old times sake :)

I'm keen for that spin, maybe i'll run that enduro thing again and just make it one of the cars as an option? or a full field of ISF's? I really enjoyed that longer enduro, I think more people would be interested in it, just we did it over xmas break.

And changed from nerdbergerring

40 laps at Spa then ? :scared: :sly: Yeah , if we cant get enough people that will do an all IS-F race , add it to the list of cars from the last enduro maybe. Sounds bangin !

^^^ Sounds good yeah.

Yet again you'll have to just pencil me in, I can't commit to anything - ie on that topic I can't make Monday's Hybrid/Petrol race.

Spoke to Stiggy, and wayn and him will start sorting out the next enduro, will be very similar to the one we ran at Christmas. Will be at Spa in the IS-F, for about 1.5 to 2 hrs with weather on. Thats the last I will talk about it on oni's thread. We will make another thread like last time and I will edit this post with the addition of the link. :) All are welcome if you have mates that arn't in this series, as long as they know which way is forward.

Sorry for the steal Oni mate :)

THREAD IS UP FOR ENDURO!!!

Anyone is able to join, just as long as they jump in a prac session with one of us :)

Not a problem mate. Currently Jazza, Taital and myself are testing cars for the next series.

Just a heads up, everyone will be running the same car and tyres.

A qualifier will be ran to even out the tiers. More details later on. We have narrowed down a list of cars so hopefully will have a final car by the end of next week or sooner.

Ohh sweet I know a few guys that can...

never mind.

For Grand Valley I see there are extended concrete (brown not white) on the exit of most corners... Are these allowed? Turn 2 for example has extended curbs on the outside. In real rules (where Taital and Jas are basing it from) sometimes it's allowed because it's considered 'extending the length' of the circuit (turn 9 and 10, infield of the track).

I know the second to last is definitely out of bounds and the insides are of course. Just need to be black and white on the other exits.

Weren't we allowed to run wide at the second last corner at GV in the IS-F series ? Thought we were. Awaiting clarification :)

Here is a map to help people visually.

picture.php

Turn 2 - Run off at exit is OK to use
Turn 5 - Cannot use that little bit of pavement (2 wheels on it is ok)
Turn 6 - Run off at exit is OK to use
Turn 8 - Cannot use the inside pavement (2 wheels on it is ok)
Turn 9 - Cannot use the run off
Turn 16 - Cannot use the run off
Turn 18 - Run off at exit is OK to use

Hope that clears it up. Pretty much its the exact same rules we had in the IS-F series and every series after that.

I believe you meant 3rd last corner (if you count the kink which i have). We didn't mind people using it during lap 1 within reason. As most drivers are still battling or close to each other on lap 1 people tend to run wide. But as lap 2 comes people should no longer be hitting it. Also its actually slower if you use it. The fastest line out of that corner doesn't require you to use it.

Greetings Oni, MrT, Spinner et al.
Thought I would post an official request to join in this (and other) series (when space permits).
Like some of the other racers, I'm a shift worker, so unfortunately will not be able to attend every race in a series (hense unable to be available this Monday night).
Appreciate your concideration. Thanks.

Definitely a spot in the current series and next for you mate. Like we discussed i think it's 1 race a month you would be missing (at your current work schedule) which would be 2 (possibly 3) races out of 8 you wouldn't be able to attend and a wildcard would drive in your place.

Shame your working this Monday but at least you will be in the final race of the series next week.

Also to all that was in the next series car test session. I saved the replay from 2 of the races and you would be very surprised at the lap times everyone was doing. If your keen to know i'll post em up, but lets just say everyone was within half a second to 1 second of each other including you Spin! We could have a winner with that car.

Yes that's the one , sorry didn't count the kink. :dunce:

Thanks for the clarification. See you all tonight.

Good afternoon all,

Another good race last night, Willyco and Jol congrats you two were unbeatable, jasr thanks for a good race for the first 15, again apologies if i held you up haha, a few photo's from last night. I only got upto lap about lap 8 as my fellow nipple came online.

GrandValleySpeedway.jpg

Green lights are on and it's GO GO GO

GrandValleySpeedway_1.jpg

The run upto turn 1 seems all clean but Evan lags little bit in his snow inspired roadster and moves over on Jasr73

GrandValleySpeedway_3-1.jpg

A closer look at the minor incident between Evan and Jasr

GrandValleySpeedway_4-1.jpg

Everyone allows enough space during the first corner, nicely done all !

GrandValleySpeedway_5-1.jpg

A wide angle view of the first corner

Roota Boota and myself go side by side over the hill, adequite room was given by both parties

GrandValleySpeedway_9-1.jpg

The run down to the first hairpin and biggest braking test, nipple #2 Wayn explores faster options via the grass, don't think it worked..

GrandValleySpeedway_11-1.jpg

GrandValleySpeedway_12.jpg

The "test your cars understeer" corners

GrandValleySpeedway_13.jpg

An artsy run into the first tunnel

GrandValleySpeedway_15.jpg

A few laps down and Roota has managed to pass Willyco but coming out of the hairpin Roota's car gets a bit sideways allowing Willyco and myself to get a run into the next corner

GrandValleySpeedway_16.jpg

Rubbin's racing here as Roota defends his line after he lost speed coming out of the previous corner, taital manages to sneak his nipple in the gap

GrandValleySpeedway_17.jpg

I rub my nipple along Roota's car fighting to keep the position

GrandValleySpeedway_18.jpg

As i pull away Roota falls back as Evan makes light contact with Roota

GrandValleySpeedway_19.jpg

Ev runs a tad wide trying to make the same corner which causes the contact

GrandValleySpeedway_20.jpg

Another view of the incident

GrandValleySpeedway_21.jpg

Roota is on a one way trip to the wall via the grass

GrandValleySpeedway_22.jpg

The natural angle of the corner and some good driving see's Roota avoid the wall but struggles to gain control!

GrandValleySpeedway_23.jpg

As Roota regains control, evan and myself allow Roota back passed, as microphones are disabled Roota displays his frustration by blinding everyone in the tunnel

GrandValleySpeedway_24.jpg

I manage to make my way passed Roota again as he struggles out of the last corner with left rear damage from the incident

GrandValleySpeedway_25.jpg

Jasr, Spin and Evan sneak passed a struggling Roota (giggity) down the straight!

GrandValleySpeedway_26.jpg

A few laps later Jasr manages to pass me in turn 1, i fight back over the hill lining him up for the hairpin

GrandValleySpeedway_27.jpg

Jasr takes a wide entry and i strike, jumping into the gap and taking back the position

GrandValleySpeedway_29.jpg

Imagine this in a French museum, this picture would replace the Mona Lisa, accompanied by..
