I made you guys a logo

Logo-5.png

Just because I felt like making logos

Sorry guys but I won't make the race Monday night, holidaying away with the family. Shame as I like this track, hope you all have a great race. See ya all for next week. Evan

Hi from Japan. Just an update regarding Monday's race. I won't be able to make it as my flight was cancelled and moved to Monday night due to not enough passengers. So i got bumped to an evening flight coming home to Australia on the 10th. Jazz and Taital it falls on you both to decide to race Monday or postpone 1 more week.

I have email and phone access here so email me or message via whatsapp.

What ever you all decide. Have a great weekend.

Hi all

Hope everyone had a good holiday. I'm good to race monday night if we are still racing, will wait on Jazz and Taital for confirmation.

Umm, nice work on the logo . . . yeah I can see what you were going for.

With Monday's round, perhaps if we can get a 'head count' of who can make it, who can't. Perhaps then make the choice to race or not. So that's Oni, Evan & Spinner ( not sure when Spinner gets back thou ), 3 not going to be there. With this time of year there's probably going to be others.

Edit: Something has come up, so I won't be able to make it Monday night. Not that I'm a series regular / permanent driver. But figured I'd let you guys know.

I'll be back in the country next Monday but may be too out of whack (jetlagged)* to race. Will confirm before then.

*Not to mention a bit rusty at the wheel !

Hey Guys, Happy New Year!!!!
Cant make tonight's race either. Good luck, see you's next week.
Cheers.

NO RACE TONIGHT, due to low numbers we won't be having a race tonight. Sorry about the late answer, work is a massive time chunk in a day. Jasr or myself will be on tonight. Looking to hold a practice session or a race room of randomness

OFFICAL UPDATE

Hey gents, Taital and I have conferred on this one. Due to the number of non starters this week, tonights scheduled Round 4 at Nurburgring GP/D - is postponed until Monday 16th of Jan.

Opps you beat me to it

I'm back in Oz now as a few of you may know. Haven't been on GT since i returned but hopefully am not to rusty when i do.

Cheers for updating everyone Taital and Jazza.

Next monday's race will be on regardless of numbers as we need to get this championship moving again. Hopefully most of the drivers have returned from vacation and general laziness the holidays bring.

So to all be ready for next weeks race as the series is back underway and put your game faces on (ball fans too).

BTW what is the word around the track for times? I think i should try get some practice in ASAP to keep up with you all again.

I'm generally lazy full stop. So this will be tough for me. :dunce:

For CR-Z guys it's mid to high 1'35's is a quick lap

My best so far is a 1'36.0 .. I'll try and get more practise in but everytime I plan on doing so, work calls me up. There probably watching my account Matrix style :scared:

Damn.. i am so far off the pace (must be some radiation in my system  ).. spent about 30mins last night and the best i could manage is a 1'37 flat maybe a possible 1'36 high.

Don't know how the guys are doing 1'35s. Can't see where i could make up 2 seconds.

Was this on hards or mediums? Because my best was a 37.5xx mediums. Hards best was 38.8xx. I seem to be on tier 3 pace.

This was on Hards.. i haven't done any laps on the mediums yet. I assumed that's what tyres everyone was using in their lap time quotes.

Hards for me and Stig. Did a **** load of practise on the mediums and tire tests. low 1'35.. a 1'34 is possible, but with a fuel load and no battery I was loosing about 3 seconds a lap :indiff:

3 seconds a lap. Ouch! that is a lot of lost time. Must be murder on your tyres.

I haven't had a chance to test tyre wear yet so i'll just be winging it on monday night when it comes to pit strategy. I have an idea of what I'm going to try. Will see if it works. This race ill be writing off a tyre strategy test for me.

I'm hoping the strategy pays off an puts me somewhere in the top 5.

Hey guys I'd love to give this a run!!
Ummm if theres any chance get Jas or Taital to just PM me..
Cool bananas

I thought doing doth stints on hards was a mistake after the race last night. Not knowing how long a set of mediums would last was the reason for that choice..... better the devil you know etc. :) Pawel came out of the pits a little behind me but caught me pretty quickly on his mediums and I couldn't match his pace for the rest of the race.

Anyway , just finished watching the replay now , went to check my cars power and I was at 466pp (203hp) ! I noticed I was down a little on power after a prac sesh yesterday but it was bugger all so I took off some ballast to get it back to 470 for the race. I was really happy with the car so didn't want to do an oil change and have to ballast it back up and possibly ruin the balance.

Still , was a good race , feel sorry for Jas. He was just about to bust up the muppet fest in front of him when the cord got pulled !

Good to watch Ev and Taitals battle that lasted the whole race !

Was a top night fellas. Well done Stiggy , you smashed it mate.

I could have got my hards to last for 15 but Evan pitted on 13, so in order to keep with him i had to pit on 14. Turns out I came out about 3 tenths behind him and the battle resumed!

Evan mate we battled for about 20 laps of the 25, little touches made it more interesting, i think i used my horn a little to much but that's me haha.

At the end of the race i was catching Oni 1-2s a lap, closed about 10s on him over those last 8 laps eventually taking him at the hairpin on the last lap, he had nothing to respond and I pulled an easy 3s on him.

As or turn 1 omg i almost ended mine and Stigy's race!

I went in for my normal braking area to realise everyone else braked a bit early, if i didnt swerve around him I would have ploughed him into the gravel at the end of the corner.

Managed to keep it from running deep in the corner, even managed to get a position by carrying more speed out of the corner !

Look how deep i went haha

Still managed to pass Jasr hehe from this far back lol

My mediums lasted 11 laps, on the last lap they were fading to running wide, so i think you can get 15 laps out of them consistantly

Dammit haha , I should have risked it , would have been an interesting finish at least !

Great battle last night Taital, it was on from the first lap. Apart from a few little taps it was really close racing, it's hard to concentrate on driving a clean racing line, change gears and lay on the horn button all at the same time. But will make for classic replay watching. :)

Spewing I coped some front damage as it made the meds wear fast and you got away, mind you I was starting to wonder how the last lap was going to pan out as the last place to pass was on the last chicane on the back straight.
Might have got messy. Well done on a strong second.

Well done stuffy ( bloody pre-emp ) I mean stiggy for another impressive first.

Go team Super Sicko

Wow wow wow... settle down guys... I took an early flight home just in time for the race yesterday... I entered and and battled it out with stiggy and won... Was my car invisible? damn i hate when this happens..

Sorry I couldn't make the race guys, I had something unexpected come up and I couldn't get online until really late at night.
Apologies I couldn't let you all know in advance, catch you next round.

Great race everyone. Congrats on a great win Stig, nice job mate. Well done to Taits and Ev on a great battle, made for an entertaining replay. I'd also like to send a shout to Pawel for managing to get in the room and for skilfully avoiding me under brakes coming into turn 1 a few laps in from the start, good car control mate, didn't go unnoticed. Also, quite a good battle for a little while there between Pawel and Spin despite Spin's Hp deficit. I'd also like to thank my cat, Thomas, for superb race support, thanks for getting tangled in the HDMI cord and pulling the thing out of the TV just when I was about to join in with the Taits and Ev brass band - it won’t be forgotten pal.

Finally, random (and unrelated) shots and initial thoughts on the much hyped new SSX track, I just downloaded and had a crack at. Certainly the thing is BIG. 30 odd km around and a lap time of some 3mins 40 something in a fully tuned X1 running zero down force and toe. Hmmmm. I think I saw 520kph with draft and 492ish without. Importantly, still no dedicated online drag racing function i.e. proper timing lights for the quarter mile / 1000m junkies. No sign of a 'Complex String' in the infield, although there appears to be a substantial airport or runaways of some kind...err...there is a vast expanse of water, maybe we're getting a range of power boats to use soon, or jetski's or :censored:ing seaplanes. Basically a big get-stuffed-sized loop around a dam, for $6.95 And nothing like the epic dam road in Burnout Paradise either. I hope PD use the cash they'll make from this to remodel in FULL HD and bring back, some of the classic tracks of the previous GTs and offer them as free DLC. Got to say, its going to wear thin pretty quickly for me despite the pretty SETI array, crazy steep banking and dramatic sunsets. Spa, she certainly ain't!

That's a crazy speed for a Veyron, suprised you can make the gearing that tall. I'm sure you could go way faster than I did in the X1 if you worked together, I was just in Arcade mode for my first lookski.

Re the X track whatever its called. Agreed it gets boring really quickly but from what I've seen online , the kids seem to love it having drags with eachother , chasing top speeds or seeing how high they can launch a Fiat 500 into the air with an X1. Ah those crazy kids hey ? haha.. You'll have to come play with us one night Jas... :)

It is beautifully modelled though and I like the look of the other mysterious test oval inside... will it ever be functional ? GT5 has evolved into the game that keeps giving , (providing we keep kicking cash in the direction of PD) who knows what the future holds. Personally I think the DLC is good value and relatively cheap entertainment compared to say a night at the cinema.
