Not sure if I will run next season...3 nights in a row is bloody hard...plus with a baby number two on the way I may opt out till the end of the year.

Option 1 jumps out as most appealing to me.

Like Spinner said the tiers should be based on a driver's performance history. We could do something for new drivers, like have a probationary period in a tier until we work out if they're suited to that tier or need adjusting.

Great Pic there Spin, P-Cars is looking amazing isn't? The detailing on the tires alone is remarkable. Looking forward to seeing some low light shots. :)

Thought I'd throw this pic up. Not a particularly good shot being somehow both over and under exposed at the same time despite trying to color balance it in PS but i reckon it's interesting in that you don't often see 16 cars in motion in the same frame.

And another one at race start - time elapsed 0.5secs.

PS - great to see some feedback already on the new proposals for Season 8 - I'm still on the fence for a final decision but i reckon option 1 would be interesting /exciting change to what we've done previously.

Option 1 is proving to be the popular choice so far. I also think the choice of cars would make for a nice eye candy on the starting grid.

I especially like the full 16 car grid shots from the last couple of rounds by Jase with the ORS logos discreetly painted in.

Definitely looking forward to more of it so count me in for Season 8.

P-cars does look pretty nice. Thanks for sharing the videos Spin. I couldn't resist the urge any longer so I installed it last night and had a quick spin in the karts and found the driving physics to be pretty decent.

I'm interested to see how the online functionality will play when it is ready.

Cheers,
Asuka

Great Photos Jas, it is things like this that really makes me want to run next season (as I explain is looking abit tough at the moment)

My main concern is tuning, I am a very good tuner! I hate tuning cars lol
Option one sounds the best to me...I am going to give up my sunday racing to make the next season :)💡

Yeah , it certainly is ruling the eye candy race at the moment ! Its pretty good value for money as it is , I signed up as team member which for the very reasonable price of around $30AUD gives weekly build updates. The physics while far from realistic are very driveable for a game in pre alpha. I think everyone has very high hopes for the final package.
No idea if they will run dedicated servers for free or if there will be a subscription fee. Honestly , I'd rather pay for solid online access rather than having to deal with the likes of PSN/GT5 .....a chronic cancer patient plastered with band-aids but it's free.....yay.

(too far ?) :D

I have started a screenshot set on my Flickr account for Pcars.

And to list new theme:

To officially list the theme for this week:

Photocomp Theme for ORS Season 7, Round 8 - Nurburgring 24hr

"Twilight"

Clearly Spinner chose to name the theme after his favourite book series. just kidding

Haha , is that the thing all the teenage girls are mad about ?

Personally , I think we should declare Jase the winner of this round. Clearly a better shot than mine and it saves everyone having to vote. I hereby stand down my entry and declare Jase the winner !! :D

See you all in the twilight zone :)

Option 1 sounds good to me, but ill happy with anything really. Put me down for next series, you have to get in quick these days with a full grid each week.

Cheers Jas,
I've been made a moderator mainly for my involvement with the WRS online racing(now part of the admin :D). I was tempted to change everyone's text colours to gold and brown to celebrate Hawthorns win last night :D, but I thought that might be abusing my new status a bit .

Haha - any day Collingwood is thumped out of the park is a good day in my book 👍 :D

Go CROWS :)

Ah nice one John Go the HAWKS. Was a good win and to beat collingwood even better.

See ya all Monday night (had to say something on topic).

Nice shot Cac - that's my new desk top background 👍

Afternoon gentlemen,

Any option sounds great, I am interested in being a full time driver for the series.

I should say, it's almost a 2 hour race!

need to work out a new plan now!!!!

Sure is mate - Based on some laps I did last week with Cac, I reckon we are looking at around 110 to 115 minute total race time calculated on a average lap time of approximately 4 minutes per lap...then of course there is the weather...:nervous:

I have done no pratice...so not expecting much, been playing Black ops too much lol

I can confirm we will have a three lap pit window in place for tonight Asuka. :)
(So pits open at the end of lap three for tires).

Thats right all. It's going to be a loooooong race tonight and there is a 100% change of rain tonight. Wether it rains all race or just partial is up to the GT5 gods to decide.

Nice result in 4th John, a number of well known quick drivers in your group. Not to mention that 33 laps is a fair old race distance! I like the driver change thing you guys are doing where you pause for 5mins. Great idea for a long race.

Thats a great idea. Any of you racing tonight are welcomed to take a 5 minute break during the race. I could use all the advantage i can get with no practice and rain forecasted.

It does work really well, just enough time in the middle of the race to stretch, have a smoke a drink then get back into it :D
Of course the downside is going back through the replay to make sure everyone stopped for the required amount of time
