Nice idea, ruined by regulation. 👎

Based on the above criteria:-
Rome - fails! Too short.
Nurb 24H - fails! Too long. Banking/camber (carousels). Jumps. No night time allowed.
La Sarthe - Restricted. No night time allowed.

As far as I'm aware, night time is not posible anyway in any track created with the track editor. But I may be wrong on that.

Hey Cac! Yeah mate you can get night time tracks; Toscana tarmac...even got some fireworks to light the sky.

Sorry for my sudden dissapearance guys...Team Citrus.
After suffering a bad case of 'GT bunoutitis', I needed to take a break from GT and do something else...I was just not having fun with it like normal. I hate to have to do this to my team, but I'm seriously thinking about pulling out of this series and coming back after a break.

+1 Spin. Totally understandable R* Would be sorry to see you go but as Spin said if it's becoming a chore and the fun factor's fading, it's better to eject the GT disc for a spell till it calls you back. Hope to see you online also, always keen for a blast

Yeah totally understand if you want to take a step back Rusty. Now you know why i tend to go off and slay dragons quite alot. If i sat there playing GT5 everyday it will burn me out and i just wont have as much fun as i am now. The racing has gotten alot tighter then usual with the Tiers which makes trying to get any position on the grid a tough task. Let me know when your ready to jump back in.

BTW people seem to be confused with the Entry Criteria for the custom tracks.

While i said no jumps i mean nothing BIG like those crazy ones at Mt.Aso i think it is called. Little bumps similar to Eiger or Cape ring are fine. Also with the cambered corners you can have cambered corners but nothing really crazy that make it near impossible for the car to go around without spinning.

So small jumps are fine and camber is fine as long as its not crazy and uncontrollable.

Great Race on Monday, Like Rusty I took a week out to gather my thoughts...did nto much pratice but for once worked out when i needed to pit lol
Noticed I was the only one starting on softs, knew pole would be mine along with 3 points

Race went ok, opening lap was spent trying to adjust my brake balance lol then set off to try to pull away from the pack. I feel I never pushed hard enough on the Softs, I was only making a second a lap on who ever was chasing me but got my forst set to last about 7 laps! I should have pushed harder.
After running two sets of Softs I was on to my mediums, again, wasnt pushing hard, just trying to keep it clean. Made a few mistakes but luckly the end result was just running deep into a turn and once went off at the Hairpin while battling with Oni and Jas.
Final run was on Hards, only 7 laps on them but had to battle with Jas and Toiv...totally stuff it on the last lap at the hair pin....oh well, it had to happen at some point. Happy with my 5th place...see you all next time

I went one better, left the disc in and unplugged the PS3 haha

Yeah, was becoming 'un-fun'...then with basically no testing I entered the round before last...the finish was enough to make me realize I needed a break lol...I'm still driving cars though haha! Except this time I have the cops chasing me.
Man...how good are the sounds in NFS! The Zonda Cinque!!!👍

I'll be keen to rejoin you boys sometime in the not too distant future.

Have to agree R* Although NFS has its critics (some of it justified), the elements of cinematic drama, atmosphere and Die Hard-like entertainment (which NFS producers always do so well at and inject into the DNA of NFS) is something surely lacking as a play mode in GT.

Yeah I too felt like a break. Pulled the old GT5 disc out of the PS3 for the first time in . . . a long time.

Spent last night going back through some of the Modern Warfare single player levels. Nothing drives away the blues like raining down destruction from a circling AC 130.

Also an idea for the photo comp. We've had 2 entries this week, JTV and Jasr.

To continue on the idea I put up earlier of getting the theme out quicker / in advance. Perhaps this week, if we skip the vote, and kind if consider them both winners, to bring in effect the new quicker theme.

Have JTV name the theme for the GVS so we can start on that comp asap.

. . . and then Jasr can name the theme for Rome Rev, which can be posted on Monday morning.

This will kick in the new 'the theme is up earlier' idea.

But basically that depends on if that's cool with JTV and Jasr. You can PM me your views if you don't want it out here on the thread.

Made a track today, thought I would put up a vid as oni said, easier than downloading it and having a go, While doing a lap I noticed some extra weight in the car, thought spin was playing a trick on me and added more ballast, then I heard a couple of Tuvans breaking out some throat singing! So obviously my track - Circuit de Rota (2012) - was built in Tuva. Couldn't help the singers.

Posted to record the moment when...

We had one of the biggest grids we've seen with a full 16 car armada lining up for Round Seven, Race One at Rome Reverse. Despite some teething problems with the start which was to be expected given the location, everyone stayed on for the full 18 lap sprint race. Fantastic. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Ring' next week!

It was great to have a full grid! A busy track made for an interesting race....ok, it took a while to get the night underway but was fine after that.

Celebrations went on well into The next day at team Citrus HQ. It's all a bit of a blur but I do vaguely recall Rota wearing one of the grid girls hot pants and dancing up a storm. Just got back from returning Mike Tysons pet tiger which trashed the interior of Rustys Citroen (shhh , dont tell him)

If anyone can fill in 36 hours of blank , I'd really appreciate it.

Yeah Jol , the next one should be the toughest race of the series I reckon. I'll stick with minimum practice this week , seems to have worked out for me last race ! Curious to know what the qualification will entail....... hmmm ?
