SERIES REVIEW​

We are at the mid point of series 7 and its review time. First off i will start with the discussion around extending the series by another 2 rounds turning it into a 10 round series. The reception for this has been good and i am happy to announce 2 more races will be added. They will both be endurance rounds. The tracks are still TBA but notice will be given a week before the race at the latest.

Now onto the movers and shakers in the races. I'd like congratulate Rod, Cactass and John whos performance throughout the series has moved them into the next tier. Below you will find the Tier you now belong too and the additional weight (on top of your tier) drivers must carry from here on.

The weight added is based on a number of factors. They are; qualifying laps, fastest laps, gap between other drivers, performance within your tier and wins. Remember these changes are in order to tighten the field and keep the racing close and exciting for all.

Haha.. yeah spinner was lucky as i was about to give him some of the ballast love but luckily he fell just below the quota.

If you want more ballast with your fries Rusty i can arrange that as you sound keen.

Hey, hey thanks for the votes.

Since I had such a crap race Monday night with the worst tyre strategy and 6 get offs, I'm happy for the photo comp to be just about getting a great shot. Doesn't have to be your best moment just a great shot of any racing action from the night. Imagine the cover of a Motorsport magazine.

Yeah I agree. I mean that one of Jasr's is great, the layout everything works.

I reckon photoshopping is okay. Only that it might make some guys who aren't photoshop familar not want to compete.

The series is 10 rounds with 1 round each week (10 weeks).

Round 1: Nurburgring GP/F - 16th July
Round 2: Suzuka Circuit (Weather) - 23rd July
Round 3: Tokyo R246 /Reverse (Sprint) - 30th July
Round 4: Twin Ring Motegi - 6th August
Round 5: Spa-Francorchamps (Weather) - 13th August
Round 6: Grand Valley Speedway /Reverse - 20th August
Round 7: Rome/ Reverse (Sprint) - 27th August
Round 8: Nurburgring 24hr (Weather) - 3rd September
Round 9: TBA - 10th September
Round 10: la Sarthe 24hr (Weather) - 17th September

I went for a few magazine cover style ones. Picked one as my entry but figured I'd put the others up too.

Now for something I thought of trying, 3D images (steroscopic)

You have to do that thing where you slightly cross your eyes so you're looking at the right side of the image with your left eye and vicsa versa.

I find it easy to hold both hands up and frame the sides of the image image, one eye at a time. Then look at the single image between your hands.

Might be a bit much, might get car sick especially the way I drive!!!

How do you guys feel about Jasr's picture being in this weeks vote. The one with the total magazine treatment.

I will give ultimate choice to Jasr, if he says no then that'll be it. But if he wants to gauge others opinions then lets see.

Notice to everyone to make sure you bring your wets tonight as it looks like there may be a chance of rain. The track will be wet during quali and pray to the weather gods it dries up for the race and remains sunny.

Now as for Mic's question. That is totally up to you mate i am easy either way. Just know that any image that is modified with a magazine layout (text etc) cannot be used in the ORS Season 7 banner. So make sure you provide both images (retouched and original).

Hi guys,

Some super shots there from Cac, jtv and Mic, especially the stereoscopic ones, great concept. 👍 Thanks for the feedback on the Mag cover mock up, it's not as hard to do as it might look. However, agree that we need to make sure images are going to fit the ORS thread front page template AND i think it's a plan (and fairer for all) if we keep to raw images from GT photo mode.
