This race has one major drawback.
If you are a minute too late you'll have to wait 29 minutes for the next race :(

Maybe we could run, in the same thread, a concurrent race at xx:15 and 45?

All the best

Nice driving Stijn. I couldn't catch you, even if my life depended on it :)

This is a great event with lots of battles and (clean) overtaking.

Thanks Bert. Wasn't really driving that fast though, just doing the laps till the race was finished. If I knew you where 2nd, I would have waited. :)
Maybe we'll have a good battle next race 👍

I was shocked yesterday how clean and good the racing was too be so early in the events! Of my 5-6 races yesterday I didnt see one punter(maybe I left them behind:sly:) . I saw also many good drivers crack under presure in 9-10 lap:) So fun with 10 laps!!

Make sure you low pp racers vote on the mazda monday car poll 👍

Just had a very good race with GTRP_Fahrer for 8th position.
When the other made a mistake we would wait for each other.
Some great slipstreaming and overtaking in that battle.

edit: tree'd :D

What a start. I got penalty 3 laps in a row in the chicane! Lol need a smoke before i continue:(

I saw that haha! I straight threw away my first place starting position by driving straight into the beach at the start lol :dunce: The one time I get to start toward the front I straight throw it away...I deserve a pat on the back for that one :ouch:

Ill be in for a few in my NSX from xx:30 through tonight. Be in and out the chat aswell if anyone else is dropping by.

Damn! Youre all getting a head start on me! Cant wait for xmas to end so i can come and play!

Mate, this one started at a very high standard and just went higher!!

The usual suspects doing the laptimes though :)

All the best

I love this race!!!!

I raced today in a Evo X (Non tuned version) that I tuned myself, and it is monstourously quick in the corners, and can just about hold it's own in the straights... I came 6th - bear in mind that I have never really bothered with this track before now (I'm an Eiger nut...) and kept forgetting some of the corners...

For now, I hang back and wait to see the others driving styles and braking tacticks, as I have been countlessly shunted when braking late and aggressively as this suits my driving best. Plus, unfortunately, I knocked a racer off when he broke very early, but I stopped and let him past me to be fair... Couldn't find his name in the Players Met so I couldn't message him to apologize...

I will post my Evo X setup soon, if anyone is interested...

I will have to try to time it right to get into a race with some GTPers, I would love to race someone from here... I just feel I will be too slow, I can never race with even 85% fluidity, probably because of 100%-ing Midnight Club 4: Los Angeles...

I hope to race someone soon!!

That's a race for F40 fan :sly:

Despite you can't win against monsters like the Cali, but it's great fun

Just got disconnected....22 min wait til next race...

How many of you think it would be a good idea to have a substitute event for xx15/45 for disconnections and people who dont make it into xx00?

It sounds like a good idea.... but what to do if youre the only one that didnt get into the race? difficult choice... :indiff: Maybe we should just try it and find out 👍

Do these AVF_***** [GB] guys have a vendetta against GTP or something? Absolutely horrific on-track manners.

I think it's good idea. It's easy to spend 10-14 min to testing setups, but almost 30min is littlebit too much if you miss schedule... especially when host quits or player match throw you away.

I'm sure here is enough drivers for two timings.

You're right - I just had someone called AVF_Bad_Robot swarming all over me through the esses, using me as a brake. He punted me off... caught him him a lap or so later - not because I was driving quick (I wasn't!) - but because of his obvious lack of control.

Wish i could join you guys tonight, but going away for a week tomorrow, so I've been packing. Will still be checking the forums every day though. Shall i alter the thread title to include the 15 and 45 then?

About 30 minutes ago, I had an perfect race (for my standards)... There were 7 racers including myself and I actually managed 3rd. Two punters started, but disconnected themselves after I and the other 4 racers got past them and left them behind, then as I was going down the start/finish straight a Ferrari spun as he drifted out of the chicane, which left me in fourth. As I was coming out of the wide hairpin (before the long "straight" at the bottom of the map) another Ferrari spun as the driver performed a great drift around the whole hairpin - snapback got him when straightening, so I was left in 3rd. I raced on my limit, but the other two Brits were very quick and I never managed to catch them. It was a 36 second gap between the lead car and me.

To my surprise, I never had a single mishap throughout the whole race, I even pulled off a few decent drifts when there was a big enough gap between me and the car behind.

The car I used was a fresh R34 Skyline which I bought a duplicate of specially for the race. I tuned it with the universal 4WD settings I'm working on, and it was perfect for the R34 - at least for my driving style...

Can't wait to get back on tomorrow. Too busy watching Family Guy DVDs now...

Very nice race Animera! Thanks to Knilch_GTLMsquad too.

It's funny how difficult lap 9 and 10 are!? What is that thing... I have messed up both my races in there.

Yep, thats happened to me a few times. I think the pressure gets to me when I think "Only 2 more laps ..."

Sorry to say Animera... but I couldn't get our second battle, which was very good too, on tape. I forget to plug my camera to mains-electricity, and it's battery ended on lap 8... :ouch:

I was forced to drive two last laps without sounds, cause I take that to earphones from camera.

Thanks, and good night!

Thanks to you AutoAki, those two races were awesome. It was very interesting to see the same cars with different tunes and seeing where on the track each was faster.
