P2... You have room for another 50 year old?
I'm sure we do jazz. Still averaging 8-10 most weeks so spots available. Another senior will up our average age a bit but barely :)

Not sure if we've befriended on PS3 yet so if we haven't send me a FR and I'll accept before tomorow night's CRZ race.

Glad you had fun Andrew, was good to see a new face. I was kind of wondering if you felt you were unecessarily being banged around but it sounded like that was mostly happening to Mark..or just his imagination.

Last night was a typical Thursday evening if you were wondering.

We've reviewed your application Penguin and I'm happy to announce you've been accepted. Welcome aboard! Standard life time probationary period in place of course.

The last 2 races for car 1 will be dirt tracks just not sure which ones yet, will make that call when we absolutely have to. Not sure why I included an oval for car 2, we'll see if that turns out to be a mistake come Thursday.

October 30, 2014:

Car 1 – Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 - 1985 - Sports Soft/Dirt

Tracks:
  • vote - tarmac courses
  • 2 X dirt tracks
Car 2 – BMW M4 Coupe - Sports Soft
Tracks:
  • Motegi - East
  • Daytona Speedway
  • Fuji
  • Trial Mountain - REV
  • Silverstone

Can I join in on the fun?:)
Parcells will get back to you Fallen. Two newbies in one week is quite the onslaught for us old timers let me sleep on it.

If you could write a short essay on how your contributions to the evening's festivities will benefit Parcells it could really speed up the process.

I am looking for a good racing room other than just the SNAIL rooms. I think I could make a good competitor for both Parcells and the rest of the room. We all have a good time racing in grim's room and I always like the batch of guys that are racing there.

Are you serious? That essay is brutally bad. Chock full of cliché’s and clearly plagiarized you’re a disappointment to Parcells.

Despite that I am very impressed you would stoop so low to bull****t your way into Thursday night. It displays some of the intangibles we’re looking for so you’re in. See you Thursday if you can make it.

We're going with 2 old reliables that everyone loves this Thursday. Enjoy...

November 6, 2014:

Car 1 – Mazda Roadster Touring car - Race hard

  • Monaco
Car 2 – Renault Sport Megane Trophy car - 2011 - Race hard
Tracks:
  • Deep Forest - REV

If attendance is up and the consensus is for some longer races with a long overdue Ferrari on some classic F1 tracks we will drop Motegi and run 4 x 18'ish minute races.

November 13, 2014:

Car 2 – Ferrari 430 Scuderia - 2007 -Sport soft

Depleted my pre-tested car list so completely winging it this week. Not sure if we've done the Z28 before but definitely the Golf. Guessing the Golf can manage Sport soft tires???, we'll see.

Car 2 – Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Race car - 1969

  • Fuji
  • Grand Valley Speedway - REV
  • Brands Hatch

In honor of the US Thanksgiving I’m issuing an executive order this week in the form of we are running only one car and since only one car I don’t see the need to nominate any tracks as we’ll get to most. Drove this beauty on Saturday and it’s a dream. There will be some very close battles.

Toyota MR2 Spyder – 1999 – Sport soft

Yeah, so about tomorrow night's cars...how about we just wing it?

Let's just agree on a car that we all have (or close) and run some laps.

In the interim, if anyone has a vehicle they'd like to run, feel free to offer it up.

I am 100% sure I can make these races and that it would be a great time. I'm willing to run as a regular. If both parcells will accept me. :scared:

EDIT: lovin' the Santa hats!!!

Good to hear Zii. You have the inside scoop so good chance you'll be accepted. You'll know for sure if you show up this Thursday and Parcells doesn't give you the boot. In the interim, welcome aboard.

This weeks line-up...

[EDIT] see 2 posts below.

Seems we have only next week (Dec 18) before we’re forced to take a two week hiatus for Festivus and new Years. Parcells has some cars lined up but if anyone wants to drive their favorite car you have a week or so to get it scheduled into the last races of 2014. Theoretically I could race Christmas night but there’s no way I’m going to and New Years night we get to watch the inaugural college playoffs, can’t wait.

Also the first week back we’ll be driving one car only and its our first 1Mil+ car in over a year so no reason not to have it but if you don’t, too bad, you can drive something else. The car is the 1985 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Rally car and we’ll be running a minimum of one dirt and one snow track.

There's been a clerical error in reporting this weeks cars. The corect cars are below...

December 11, 2014:

Car 1 – Vauxhall VX220 - 2000 - sport soft

Tracks:

  • vote
Car 2 – Chevrolet Camaro SS Touring car - 2010 - race hard

Tracks:

  • Cape Ring - North
  • Trial Mountain
  • Motegi
  • Monza – new chicane
  • Spa

So off the top of my head my top 3 favorite cars to race would have to be

3. Subaru Impreza TC

2. Corvette z06 rm 09

1. Nismo gt-r 2014

Just throwin those out there.

The fans have spoken and having reviewed each entry on its merits vs. Parcells own interests the final cars to complete the 2014 season are listed below. Both these cars have delivered some fantastic racing including this gem of a race below courtesy of Brnt Enterprises. Because that race was so amazing this Thursday we are doing the same track but in reverse.

I'll definitely fill in "some" tracks before Thursday but in the same theme of fan favorite cars if anyone has a specific track(s) they'd like to run either car on let me know and I'll update the tracks accordingly before Thursday.

Also gonna try and convince the non-GTP regulars (which is most of the field) to show up for the last races of the year because these cars will be awesome!!!

Car 1 – Honda Integra Type R (DCS) Touring Car - 2004 - race hard

Tracks:
  1. vote/TBD
Car 2 – Subaru Impreza Touring Car - race hard
Tracks:
  1. vote/TBD
  2. High Speed Ring - REV

If anything today's Monday taught me it’s that the proverbial party is over and its back to reality. Hope everyone had a great Holiday.

On the bright side we can get back to some quality-like racing as we start back up for 2015.

As previously mentioned this Thursday we will run one car only, the 1985 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Rally car. I may add some predetermined tracks (or you can suggest) but we are definitely running one snow and one dirt track…thinking long versions of both.

I seem to recall liking race medium tyres over hard when testing this car long ago so be forewarned we "may" be running race medium vs. race hard.

@Zii...no racing last week bud ;) never seen your post until just now. :dunce:

So I took a peak last night and it was definitely race medium tyres I was most happy with so we will be using race medium tomorrow when not using dirt or snow tyres.

Have also updated some pre-determined tracks, not necessarily in order except where noted and rest assured we will finish off with Spa!!!

  • Chamonix Main – 8:00 EST start
  • Nordwand K – 9:00 EST start
  • Autumn Ring – REV
  • Suzuka
  • Spa

If you want other tracks let me know and I’ll see what can be done.
