I ran out of pre-tested cars but should be able to correct that this weekend. Been mulling it over and have decided to go with 2 cars we haven't driven in a while...I think we used sport soft for both these cars in the past so that wont change.

Five of five stars, 1st class race lobby..

By far one of the most enjoyable race rooms I've been to, and will certainly come back.

Thanks for having me.

Glad you enjoyed yourself Euclid and laying it on as thick as you are in the above post suggests you'll fit right in with the rest of us bull****tters ;)

Except for Wheels premature departure last night was a typical evening where at 7:00 there is usually only 3-4 of us, half hour later maybe up to 6-7 topping out closer to 8:30'ish.

This weeks lineup below.

Warning: Anyone low on credits may wish to start running some seasonals...sometime in March we will be running the 1.2 Million Opel Calibra Touring car.

January 22, 2015:

Car 1 – Mazda MX-5 Miata 1800 RS (ND, J) - 2004 - sport hard

  • Madrid Mini - REV

BTW, just now realizing we vote for the tracks on this list tomorrow.
Just pulled the two cars for tomorrow out of the stockyard.. I raced that model of Miata one time last year and for some reason it seemed to be a very lively handling car comparatively to the other Miata's. And not that any of them are bad, it's just this one was a lot of fun to drive.

It was the first Miata I tried. Picked because of the slightly more HP than the others but my system is pretty simple...two minute test drive, if I like the car it may get considered.

Remember if you or anyone else wishes to submit a car/track line up just let me know and we'll get it scheduled.

See you this evening I hope.

Looks like I'll be going out with friends this afternoon, and not sure what time I can join today, or if I'll make it at all.
As soon as I get back I'll see if your still going.. I was looking forward to both cars..

Good news, I tested out the shorter steering adjustment on the new rig and wont need much time to get used to that.
No time really, maybe because I used the controller for so many years.. Like you said, after maybe a month I'll be enjoying this a lot more once I acclimate to it..

Also, Tuesday I was in bad shape, so sorry if I caused any trouble on the track for you.
I was just trying to get out of the way.. I expect to start running pretty good with the wheel before too long though

I'm sure it took me 20 hours to become comfortable with a wheel and another 20 hours before I came close to my controller times. That was when Forza 2 came out which coincides with the last time I'll ever use a controller to play a racing game except that one time 4-5 years ago I tested a controller just to prove a point.

No apologies necessary, you caused me zero issues the other night, quite the opposite.

Well.. I might not be so bad off then my wheel times are not that far off from the DS3 on most combo's now.
It's difficult dealing with people who never used a controller before .. They don't understand..
I need to train myself not to care what people think while I'm at it...

Heading out soon, so hopefully I'll get back in time..

It couldn't be the cars because they're awesome. I knew of a couple people that wouldn't be making it including a strong regular but didn't foresee the lowest level turnout on a Thursday night in the best part of a year if ever.

Regardless the four of us that did show up had a great time. So much so that we're racing the same cars again so those that missed it don't lose out on this awesome line-up. We didn't even get around to driving the touring car the Miata was such a blast.

See you Thursday.

Nice !... That Miata is a blast to drive for sure..

Slowly improving in small steps with the wheel.. Might take me longer than some though.
Hard to say how proficient I'll ever be with it, but that's fine.. I do catch your meaning about robbing ones self of the full experience by not committing to it.

This is a game of skill, and there will always be folks more highly skilled than others..
I'll need to be wary of tire conservation on Tuesday, and then Wednesday is Spa, and that makes it dicey just because it's Spa.. But feeling pretty good there in practice.. How that translates to the race is hard to know..
It'll be whatever it shakes out to be... And that's what makes Parcell's Thursday lobby a breath of fresh air.

This week's line-up below fellas.

Dan picked the second car and as of yet hasn't provided any specifics on tire compound or tracks so I'll work on him but be prepared to run the default sport hard I think it was, it is drivable if somewhat challenging.

Also pretty sure the last time we used the FIT car we stuck to default but whatever we did then we'll do again I'm guessing.

February, 12 2015:

Car 1 – Spoon FIT race car - default I think

Tracks:

· Motegi - East

· Laguna Seca

Car 2 – SRT - Viper srt10 - 2003 - default?

I would like to join tonight to get some racing in. Will you open a room in the community somewhere or a normal lobby?

friends only lobby in a little over 5 minutes.

I'll be making it back over here again eventually Parcells, but most likely not till next month.
That's not too far away though, and when I do you know I'll be ready for a more relaxed atmosphere.

I've got enough other things to do that could easily take up a solid month if I stopped racing for it.
Not going to do that though.. The other stuff can be done in bits and pieces.

No worries euclid see you then bud. DP, you can join the room any time...often takes 20-30 minutes before 5-7 people show up anyway.

This weeks line-up below. (will race whatever chicane version of Monza people want)

Attn @DesertPenguin09

I concur with the host that you would have a great time here DP.. I found it to be very laid back and fun.
And I think you'd be very well matched to most of the group, and find it to be very enjoyable.

Much to my surprise it seems we've yet to run a WRC car. No doubt because of the high costs so because of that and the car is guaranteed to be awesome we'll run just the one car this week.

Anyone wishing to name a few tracks go for it but we must do at least one dirt track with a WRC car. Doesn't have to be what is listed just putting everyone on notice we'll be playing in the dirt at some point Thursday evening.

February 26, 2015:

Car 1 – Ford Focus RS WRC 07 - 2008 - race hard/dirt

Tracks:

  • Eiger Nordwand - G track

If you haven’t heard there was another big GT6 update released yesterday so give yourself extra time to download and install if you’re racing tonight.

I can guarantee you we will be running the new track (Midfield Raceway) tonight. It will definitely be the track I start with but we will probably also race it later in the evening when more people are around.

Also, remember to do the new seasonal event to win the new MINI Cooper vision car as it’s a pretty safe bet we’ll be racing this car next week…an upgraded MINI Cooper, are you kidding me there’s no way Parcells cannot drive this car.

See you tonight…be there or be square!
