Yikes.. I hope Mark (xsite) isn't mad at us today too.. I misjudged my braking at the end of the tunnel yesterday and got into him a little too.. Nothing too bad, but the last thing you want is to mar the enjoyment of someone else..
That AWD car kind of breeds hard racing too though.. Had a great battle with him in R1 trading back and forth a couple times..

Last week was all front engine, rear wheel, this week we mix it up (hopefully with more participants) with a 4WD car that's on my list but I don't think we've driven before and one of the best MR cars the game has to offer.

If I understood Dan's message correctly, below is what we're driving this week...

June 25, 2015:

No sense in putting off what we all know already, that being next week's car. Now that Jason has returned from his sabbatical it seems his plan is to torture us with ovals and the Daytona/Indy GP tracks. We can play along with that until it becomes too painful.

Without further ado and as we agreed to last evening we will run just the one car next week. If anyone wants to add some additional tracks speak up.

July 2, 2015:

Car 1 – Red Bull Jr. - default tires I assume

Tracks:

Red Bull Ring - MINI

Suzuka - East

Brands Hatch - GP

Silverstone - GP

Twin Ring Motegi Speedway

This weeks cars offers up a joint effort with Euclid picking car 1 and Parcells picking car 2. We've done both before but a very long time ago.

Furthermore, last time we drove the SEAT we used sport soft, this time we'll use the default comfort soft so that should prove interesting and the last time we drove the Opel the game's MR physics we're complete crap so this car should handle much better while remaining a sensitive but enjoyable MR drive.

I regularly poke fun at Dan's terrible spelling so its only fair to acknowledge that this week he nailed it 100% even though my first thought was here we go again...what the hell is a gathers drider car? Never heard of it.

Both are new cars for Parcells and both look wonderful!

Was really hoping you would make it Euclid cause we had 7 drivers last night where 8-9 is a pretty decent turn out during this warmer weather. OH well, next week and btw both cars were really fun and there were a handful of real tight races to boot!

The cars have been set, Parcells has some down time, may as well announce this weeks line-up.

The esteemed Mr. Warden provided this weeks selection, Parcells added a couple tracks. Should be awesome cars to race, looking forward to it.

Great picks both cars.. Always liked the Supra SZ-R a little more than the RZ.. An NA as opposed to the turbo RZ.
Slightly less powerful, but seems just right for the car.. The RZ is a monster tuned, but the SZ-R perfect for fun racing on stock tyres.. The 22B-STI Subi is a legend.. Probably the best car they ever made..

Not sure if I've driven the 22B in GT6 yet but I wholeheartedly agree about how awesome it is. One of my top 3 favorite cars from way back in Forza 2.

If Mark steps up to the plate and picks some cars for us to run this week I may change these picks tomorrow. That said my guess is we'll be running these cars this week, we'll see.

Almost positive we've run this GT-R before and I'm totally guessing on the MR2 having not run the GT-S or the Spyder which looks nice so if you know that the Spyder is a better car than the GT-S let me know and we'll make that change, thanks.

In no particular order (If I really like the MR2 it will be the second car run) here are the cars we're running, all voted tracks and I'm not even sure what tyre compound we'll use but guessing default on the GT-R Touring car and probably something sport on the MR2 but no promises.

Toyota MR2 GT-S 1997

Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Touring Car

The MR2 you picked is the one to get; the Spyder was stifled - all show, no go. And in my opinion, the show was a downgrade from the GT-S; I still love that body style, and am surprised it's relatively affordable. I used mine on the recent 450 PP Seasonal at Daytona (the oval), and it was fun. I even won despite forgetting to change out the stock tranny (I did beef up the power quite a bit though; there's a little bit of room from stock to do so). The GT-R is a GT-R, so, um, yeah. Looking forward to tomorrow night, it will be fun.

In the interests of Parcells goal to minimize responsibilities while on vacation I am declaring a 2 week sabbatical of Thursday night racing. You're still allowed to race, I'm not an animal just that I don't plan on hosting again until August 20. Absolute zero responsibilities is unrealistic but in doing so I'm getting closer to sloth like speed so wish me luck.

That said, I suspect to have a new wheel this Wednesday so its also within the realms of possibilities I'll want to test this bad boy out against you guys on the 13th so if that happens I'll let you know.

I’d give up racing forever if it meant I could go on permanent vacation. But reality was back to work earlier today so break time over, felt like quite the effort (way over 5 minutes when you add it all up) picking this weeks cars I've developed such a stupor.

Winging it obviously but if I remember correctly the Scion was a delightful surprise when we drove it for the first time….

Cleary late but that’s the nature of impromptu planning (is that even a thing?). Wondering if anyone’s up for a session tonight? If so please respond to this communication indicating so and when you can start.

If I get 4 other people to confirm I’ll host a room and send another update on the GO or NO-GO decision later today.

We can wing it via car and everything, regular Parcells 8 minute races or whatever the majority wants basically.

Actually tested this weeks cars yesterday so not winging it this week. The Vauxhall did handle OK with default comfort soft tyres but felt so much better with sport hard so I decided to give everyone a small break here with the Vauxhall being a tricky mid engine car and all.

We are going to do a dirt and snow track with the Focus and we'll do what the majority wants from these 2 options...

1) smallest versions of each and I'll allow extra practise laps so everyone get's comfortable with the track (important when racing in poor visible dirt/snow tracks)

2) Medium version of each (G and East) same dirt track we ran last week of which you now have more practise but extra practise laps a NO-GO...but could give extra practise here too if that's the preference.

I suppose I'm leaning towards the smaller versions but don't matter to me.

This week's cars brought to you by Dan. No mention of tire compound so we'll assume default.

Car 2 – AEM S2000 - default

The AEM S2000's default tires are comfort soft. That's a really bad idea for racing. I'd suggest Sport Softs.
