I like the Kei cars. Slow cars are what separates Gran Turismo from all other racing game. Narrow curvy roads , redlined in 4th , 90hp feels pretty fast.

I like slow cars like the Opel Tigra and Toyota Vitz and the VW Lupo (hoping the Polo GTI is in).

Getting the ultimate lap time from the slowwer cars is just as much of a challenge as the race cars imo.Hopefully the Nov release date will stand. :scared:

I personally think they are just photo-shopped replay pics, as opposed to photo mode.

Not to beat on your opinion but what's the difference?

Those are photomode? I doubt it. The paris vid looks more impressive than those pics. But it was in motion but the res looks ingame. Look at the paris replay vid to see what I'm talking about.

Don't start this again cobra.

Nice pics. Nice track. Nice $noun.

Its simple if you don't like them then don't drive them, some people happen to like those sort of cars and I am one of them. There's nothing like throwing around a slow car around like its a race car, its a nice challenge.
I don't drive them, but to me having a garage of slow cars is not of any value to me but for Gran Turismo to appeal to such a wide audience they need to be in there. I'd have to agree with you it is a challenge to be quick with a low powered car but I get more of a thrill with faster beasts. Well, what ever floats your boat ;)

There is some rather astounding machinery. I think it looks more like a regular race than a photo mode. Now since I haven't downloaded HiDownload yet to convert the ASX into a WMV, I don't know what a lap around the track is like. So I'm guessing. That Nissan GTP racer was probably the biggest eye-catcher for me to race Paris. I guess it's enough to hold either two cars or six. The track doesn't seem extremely narrow, so why it WOULDN'T be able to be a race track is beyond my control.

Those other cars in the pictures look rather... interesting. Sure, the Honda S2000 everyone nowdays know about, but some of the others... would be very interesting to race. Every new picture, the more I want GT4.

Which reminds me. Miss McLaren, you said you seen an F1 in France? How would you like racing an F1 around the streets of Paris (my second favorite city in the world), at... 200+ mph perchance?

mmm 3d rims.

P.s noticed the cobbles, wonder how thats going to feel through the DFP, could be a rough ride.

Nice photomode pics, the track looks nice and it's nice to see some different cars in pics even if they arn't new.

The rims are textures rendered on 3D surfaces in GT4. GT3's rims were just flat textures mostly, I think. They're still not fully 3D though, as the rim structures have no depth.

arent those just screenshots? photomode pics would look much better than that

They would look better if they were in a photo mode environent, but I compare thoes shots to shots I know are in game, these shots would be far higher than 640 x 480 resolution on a full screen which is what GT4 runs at.

but are they from photo mode? They were shots like this from last years e3, they could have just been touched up.

This is where we have to wait and see, I believe they are, because the photo mode should have been in development back then, and it wouldn't have been hard for PD to just render a frame at a higher res then even if they didn't have the photo mode to do it for them. But at the end of the day, this is my opinion based on what is and isn't possible but and we have to wait and see to know for sure.

No sorry, I've write an other reply after because I wanted to know about the French car. Because he is not sure of the name and I can help him to find it.

English is hard :scared: :banghead:

Seen them. And the Nissan R89C has also been displayed well in Shunkwerx's pictures. None of these are exactly 'new', these are 3 weeks way too late.

Hmm I was under the impression the rims would essentially have no depth to them whatsoever, no protrusions etc. I was watching a GT3 replay and saw something similar being used so I guess it means that may return. Either way they don't look that bad, and I honestly expect most of us to be staring at the scenery more than our opponents rims for a while ;) Sure does look grand.

MERCI 👍

Those can't be photomode pics or touch ups. There are noticable jaggies on the pic. Those pics show the ingame resolution, if they didn't, they wouldn't be that size. Look at the new paris vid and compare it to the pics.

You mean these pictures that gaming media sites just got are three weeks late? How's that?
