when he said background he was referring to your origin, or where you were born, France. He wasn't insulting you, he was saying that your French origin was showing when you gave the car a female gender.

yeah, 2cv...
that would be nice to race against the '49 VW beetle :)
plus the twin engine version from CMR 04

butch
I don't understand what you say.
Is it an insult??

Sorry, wasn't trying to insult or anything, just pointing out as live4speed said, because you're French you called the car 'she', where as we would normally use 'it', but in French it's female, la voiture, so it carried over. I find little things like that amusing sometimes, I'm lame.

I think it's already been well-established that if GT4 isn't the best game of all time or best racing game of all time, at least it will be the most complete GT game. But don't expect PD to drop the franchise and try something people won't like. I think GT4 will probably do a better job of capturing as much history as possible. To me, GT2's car lineups are about to get owned, devoured, flushed down the toilet... whatever terminology you prefer. Like imagine if you can race a Sauber Mercedes from 1989 around Grand Valley, or that sweet Nissan GTP racer from the early 1990s around Paris like in the pictures.

And that Kei car in one of the pictures... it would be nice to have a few more little cars. I mean, I don't care about having all mega-horsepowered cars, but it would be nice to find a wonderful performing car that has low HPs compared to the... okay, I'm almost saying the same thing twice here! Anyhow, someone was talking about getting rid of the Kei machinery in another thread. Of course, the ultimate small car has the be the Mini Cooper, and I hope GT can really highlight on this little baby.

And as far as the Milk Truck goes, you might get your wish. With all due respect to this car, you may get it in the form of the Toyota Bb/Scion Xb. If not that, what about a Chevy SSR delivering milk to thousands of dateless losers (like me, but I'm no loser)? Milk trucks are possible! Or what about a Hummer H2 converted to a garbage truck running up the streets of Paris? You might even get a school bus that has a Stage 4 and can be only 20 mph short of the Renault Espace F1's top speed. Okay, maybe I'm having a little too much fun here. Don't want to get any "n00bs" blood pumping with faux pas (false) news.

i agree that we need lots of new small cars

especially this one which i happen to drive everyday

Renault Twingo 1.2 16V Initiale

I just want my damn 1998 Polo back and this time not as a hidden car like in GT2 and GTC. I'll pwn j00 Twingo. :D

As were disscusing small cars, whats that in the first pic (overhead view)? I've never seen this model before.Must have been an older Japanese domestic vehicle.

/wishlist

I sometimes wonder if everyone coming out saying the best graphics of all time or the best game ever is aware these words refer to time as a whole, not just the past, so you're saying in effect nothing will ever beat GT4, and I'm sure you can all appreciate how stupid that thought is.

Beautiful pictures, but I'm rather disapointed in the crowd shots. I don't expect the game to have thousands of different spectators, but I think this pic is a bit rediculous:

I'm currently watching this rubgy blowout between the Parramatta Eels and the Penrith Panthers (10-0, PAR), so I hope this becomes a sweet rugby test.

That Mazda 360 Carol (or whatever it's called) is a nice little car. Now sure, this machine may not be one of the fire-breathing dragons of today, but it looks to be a pretty nice car. Maybe even a little cute. And what's ridiculous about the Honda Z in the picture? Or are you talking about the crowd? Either way, when I first seen the Paris configuration, I thought it was going to be a keyhole-looking track. But when I looked a little further as the picture loaded, I knew this would be a great challenge to test my wits in a Le Mans racer. Of course, don't count out the chances of an endurance race there.

By the way, the idea of "bring your twins and get a second set of twins for free," make them two hot JGTCuties (JGTC Cuties), and tell them to meet me in Paris while I smoke the competition in whatever car I like, and we'll call it even, Lethalchem.

And in case you're wondering, the current score on FOX Sports World here in America is Parramatta 10, Penrith 6. First half done.

You watch a lot of sport o_O Eels are doing ****ty this season, hard to believe they were premiership challengers what, 2 years ago.

I love the crowd. How insane will the anti-endurance people go if not only do they have monotonous tracks and competition but even the crowds! It's like some fantastic experiment in destroying the human psyche.

Where did THIS thread come from? Man. Back in the days when Eagle was on a lot, and when Darin wasn't banned... yeah, this is an old thread!

I'm sure there are several small cars to choose from now that GT4 is out in Japan, Asia, and North America, with many other places to follow. But... WHY exactly did you need to revive this thread with that sort of reply?
