Yesterday was racing all day and the few bugs I came across, also after every race I existed the game and rebooted the PS4 to make sure the memory was cleaned out. Test I did the other night points to a memory leak and we all know that bug is a game breaker.

First race
Zolder full grid of Ruf GT-8 GT3 weather rain and thunder storms 100 laps the only bug was they gave me the wrong tires I ask for this happened 2 times in this race. Go around hit the pit then I get the right tires. Real good race.
Second race
Nurburgring GP full grid of Ford MKIV weather variable ending the last part of the race in fog 80 laps this time they gave me the wrong tires only one time. Same here go around hit the pit got the right tires. Great race.
Third race
Hockenheim GP full grid of Lotus 72D weather nice and sunny and medium clouds 80 laps, no ploblem in this race great race.

This morning doing GT 5 career mode Donington Ginetta G 40 Junior first lap front left tire red hot hit the pit change tire no problem after that. Talk to my friend and he said this was reported on P.Cars forum.

No invisible walls or landmines bugs.

Misc. Annoyance pit guy that talk to you on your pad speaker get confused like come out of the pit and says blue flag let them pass look in mirror nobody there. Pass someone tells you he's right on your gear box protect the inside line duuhh I just passed this guy of course he's on my gear box, there's more. The scripts as to be tweak.

Sound 5.1 I turned the master volume to 75 and all the other one to 80 in the audio options of P.Cars doing this made it sound a bit better on my system.

Well go do more racing and see if I get any bugs

Nice tip on the 5.1! I need to try that... My 5.1 is very lack luster.

*UPDATE*

My problem that the PS4 would crash every time I entered my garage and tried to tune my Lotus 49 Cosworth has fixed itself.

I went to Quick Race Weekend, selected the car and the Silverstone International track, drove out of the pits onto the track and then selected "return to pit box". I could then edit my tuning setup.

Since doing this I can now enter "My Garage" select this car and edit the tune from there as well with out crashing the game. I have done this several times and it has not crashed once.

I have done nothing, change nothing, not edited any settings on my PS4, zip, zilch, SFA, nuthin'. It just decided to work.

Go Figure that one out people ;-)
Your PS4 scares me.

We shouldn't have to do that to get a game to work properly should we? :( X1 here btw, pCARS is even wonkier on my choice of console

All new baby's have a few bugs I could name a bunch of other with a few titles under there belt but I won't.
I don't have many problem with mine a few bug like I mentioned all in all it's awesome racing. Not all of us have horror story.

The rhetoric from SMS seems to be "blame the console not the game", the PS 'fans' love this as they can then suggest their console is 'betterer' (even though the choice between each console is just a choice and even the most median of earning, say like McDonalds worker, if they still lived at home with Mum could easily pick up anyone of the consoles if not both after few months)...
I am not a fan of ho SMS go about their business and the way they seem to be very almost politician like in their approach, subterfuge and rhetoric etc etc...
Saying that i'm loving PCARS, on xbox but having a blast since patch 2.

Not really a bug but the NSTC version seems to be inconsistent with using British English terms/spellings or American English terms/spellings.

One example is on the tire settings where tire is spelled both ways on the same page.

Funny how DRIVECLUB works almost perfectly on my PS4, but Project CARS is very buggy. Definitely the consoles fault...NOT!

;)

Spelling and grammar is not too strong in various places in this game. There's a few typos and grammatical errors which haven't been corrected since launch so are probably here to stay.

Your PS4 scares me.

Thankyou for highlighting my wrong statement. I have amended my post to show the below change,

Where I said " the PS4 would crash every time" I actually meant "the game would crash and exit me back to the XMB screen with an error report message"

There is a subtle but distinct difference. My PS4 has never crashed with this game. Only the game has stopped working.

Also I have instructed my PS4 to stop scaring you and it is sitting very happily on its shelf looking very meek ;-)

Spelling and grammar is not too strong in various places in this game. There's a few typos and grammatical errors which haven't been corrected since launch so are probably here to stay.

I wish that was the only issue with this game ;-) I would happily accept SMS can't spell properly rather than they can't code properly ;-)

Hope this will help me with my issues .

Thanks Tired ,
The initialize is done now we have to download the game again (at a download speed you can do a trip a round the world and back  ), any way.....if this doesn't do the job , I see only one last solution and that is to bye the CD in the shop .
If than I come across the same issue like I have now , man ....... I go to the Bahamas and eat a lot of bananas I swear .

Just read this on the Pcars official forum thread about 3.0 crash issue :

"
Tried something different today. I read some people claimed to have luck in rebuilding the PS4 database. blah blah blah about moving files after all these patches into one place. Sounds like a PC type "defrag" to me. Anyway, I only have F1 2015, Project Cars and Arkham Knight loaded on my PS4, so the "rebuild database" from safe mode only took less than 3 minutes. My buddy created a multi-player online race:
Private
Laguna Seca
6 lap race
Qualifying only 10 minute
Weather: two time slots, light fog then light rain x 15 acceleration

Long story short. The game crashed on both of us.

I got the invite and I made it as far as the lobby where my buddy was hanging out. We could chat via are mics and when he started the session I crashed out to the home screen with an error code which I sent to Sony with video. Note: My buddy was a able to join the session he created. Since he loaded the patch he's had no issues...that changed! Read on...
After that, my buddy decided create a different session. Same conditions as above, but he switched to Spa. Things turned. Now he got the boot to the PS4 screen with the same error code. We tried to run 3 more times and he got the boot. Now he's infected.

So what did I learn? rebuilding the database did nothing, but I suspect there's a bigger problem at play here. I suspect it will be a while before the team are able to first replicate the issues and two fix them. That's just the nature of the software beast. Good luck guys =) My buddy and I have had so much fun racing each other online. It's simply amazing! Can't wait to get back at it. For now I will finish Arkham.

Oh so you now have a PS4 as well as a new TV? Congrats. I've had my PS4 since day one, never had an issue. Did you buy your PS4 through a legitimate source? Just wondering cause a friend of mine bought a hot PS4,Sony isn't stupid. Or are you just quoting something you read on the internet? Cause its all true!Bro I have played for 8 hours today, not a single problem yet. The game has been a joy. When you get around to actually owning the system and game, post away, until then shhhhhh.

Before you waste your money and buy the disc version you do realise that is what I have. I was thinking the disc version is the problem as so many people reporting zero issues had the download version.

In the meantime everyone needs to keep sending their error reports and videos to Sony. The only way this badly coded game will get fixed is by Sony putting pressure on them.

I thought I would wander to the official forum for a look at this issue.

Here is what I found

http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?37281-PS4-Crash-to-Home-Screen-After-Patch-3-0

So a lot of people are having crashes and Ian Bell is worried about it.

Rebuilding PS4 data base does nothing (I can confirm that as I have done it)

One person had an interesting theory. The error code is for a corrupt data base. Patch three renamed tyres. So any previously saved car with a different tyre name is now technically corrupted data. Possibly a reason. (I like this one)

So anyone doing a fresh install would obviously solve the above problem.

People that haven't saved cars with different tyre types should be OK e.g Auto by weather

Further to this I was reading that SMS instructed all their WMD testers to wipe all their saved data weekly before installing new updates. So the theory holds true to that SMS have not been testing their updates against real world scenarios where people (like me) have a huge amount of saved data and altered tunes for vehicles.

So SMS expects an update to go on top of a clean install basically and because we (the users) aren't doing this we are getting these crashes and corrupted data errors.

Food for thought.

PS Also it is a lot easier for everyone to blame the hardware ;-)

OK,so I have had crashes pre latest update. I have all my saved setups with various tires etc. To tell you the truth,I played for 8 hours straight today, not a problem. Personally I think it's the digital copy that's screwed. I have disk version,no problems.

I have digital no problams

Quite frankly I do not believe it when people say they are not having any problems, especially after 3.0.

Everyone I personally know (about 12 people) are having issues.

Out of all those people I am the only one still attempting to play this bugged game, the rest have given up. I am on the verge too.

You could be onto something there. It would explain why some people are having lots of crashes, while others are reporting none. I've read people suggesting wiping save data to others. It's alright if you only play online or something, but I can see that being a huge deal breaker for people playing career. Being told to re-start their career and lose all progress every time a big update comes out is a bit of a slap in the face...

Nope, I only borrowed PS4, as my mate want to see my new plasma in action with a PS4 :P That post about the rebuild database was from the same thread @TT92 posted. I don't know why are you so fired up about others sharing their experiences with playing a game. Do you think anyone who said they had a crash are lying ? You are very lucky to have no crash until now, be grateful as others are not so lucky. Crash here means being kicked back to XMB home screen.

If you want me to shut up, fine by me, I see you didn't like me posting anything about Pcars.

I played on disk copy too :) I didn't set on career when playing last time, but tried many different cars and track, on different game modes, my mate's driving most of the time as he was seeing if the plasma is any good. The crash happened in about 2 hours after changing about 10 cars, more than 10 tracks, going back and forth to garage, tuning and do some odd photomodes.

Looks like @FLX1981 got it too :(
From same thread at Pcars official forum :

"
Today it happened to me too. Couldnt reproduce, completed the race with no problem after restarting the game:

Game mode: Career, US GT3
Session: Quali
Car: McLaren 12C GT3
Track: Road America
Weather: Light cloud, 33% race length, time of day unknown - during the day
Discription: Was on lap 3 of qualifying, ran wide at the kink, when I tried to hustle the car back onto the track, the game froze for a few seconds, then crashed to PS4 menu. Report sent to Sony. Right before it happened, I had my first ever loss of FFB (FFB dead when starting the session, needed to leave and re-enter the session). Played about 2 hours at that point, with one or two breaks for a few minutes with the game idling in the career main menu."

"Just had my second crash to home screen.

Game mode: Career, Euro GT3
Session: Quali
Car: McLaren 12C GT3
Track: Barcelona
Weather: Clear, 33% race length, time of day unknown - during the day
Discription: Was on lap 2 of qualifying, overcooked the entry to Turn 1, car veered off the track, game froze for a second, then 2 seconds black screen, wheel going constantly left/right at a 90° angle until I grabbed it, then it was frozen rock solid at about 90° to the right. Report sent to Sony. Game was idling in the career main menu for about 30 minutes before this session.

had several disconnects today and crashes to blue screen of death while trying to setup MP lobby. had disconnects during practice (2 guys at once) + (1 blue screen of death) and quali (5 guys at once) and in race had (2x player elevating floating cars at lap 49 of the race, with both cars tires still good to run at about 20-25%)
approx. all happened around 910-940pm EST.
- 9 players (all human)
- Sonoma Raceway Short (in game race start 1pm) - set to 50laps
- Practice 10mins, Quali 10mins, Warm Up 5mins
- time progression 10x
- weather clear"

Ok ,initialize for PS4 is done .
This morning I stud up out off my lazy bed and the game was fully downloaded.
So now we can start with a clean PS4 and Project Cars .
Test will be at Sakitto circuit with the Ginetta55 GT4 , clean weather doing a 32 laps against 24 AI drivers offline .
Will keep you posted .

If that doesnt work, I recommend one of these!!!!!

Good find +1. With my Lotus 72D issue i'm having now, I can confirm that my previous saved setup had a tyre type saved specifically in the setup.

It's good that they are looking into it but conversely it's reminiscent of PD patching in GT6, IE - everytime updates go live you're always going to think ; " Well this is nice... but which part of the game have they broke this time ? ".

Here's to hoping it's fixable.

I am 4 races from finishing the whole career. I *WILL NOT* delete my saved data. I will shelve the game permanently before I do that.

BTW that is over 700 podium finishes for me out of about 1600 races entered and I am about 5 trophies from my Platinum.
