This... :( My god...

Dios te bendiga Paul, RIP Roger...

I can't get over this...

This probably isn't the place, but it's not like Nicksfix is talking out of his ass. I think we are all assuming a lot, but while it's not likely they were racing, it's also unlikely that they were practicing safe driving.

I was a fan of Paul Walker & his films as stated earlier. He also seemed like a great, great guy. Having said that, we may have much different reaction to this if there was a pedestrian involved in this accident.

Either way, I think the point has been made, we all move on out of respect for victims involved.

People driving their selves to their death is nothing new, it is quite human actually. Everyone goes over the limit now and then. We can assume they were having a great time and weren't endangering others on purpose. Most likely all of us can enjoy a supercar going a tad over the limit..

Can't help but hear Paul Walkers words on the intro to the first fast and furious DVD where he warns that all drivers should belt up, use turn signals and drive safe.
Good memory! I had forgotten all about that. Also the controversial hype that surrounded this film in the theaters.
a tad over the limit..
Really? Let's just drop this.

What do you mean?
The part about me being surprised by your statement, or asking you to drop the discussion on what is, or isn't acceptable behavior on the road?

Either way, PM me if you wish to discuss this further. I think we can both agree that this thread isn't the place for it. ;)

This just goes to show you how much respect the car enthusiast community in general had for him. Fast & Furious, especially the first one, really jump started "Car customization" for this generation. With him being the underdog/hero.

There is a sense of irony to the situation. But in reality, when you're in his position, it doesn't seem ironic. Are you going to turn down a ride in Carrera GT? I'm sure he was around fast cars 24/7. He was definitely about the life. It's just a shame he had no control of the situation. Perhaps if he was driving he wouldn't of did those speeds, and drove more sensible. Especially considering the car isn't his.

Normally celebrity deaths don't bother me. But this does, it hits close to home for the fact that i grew up with F&F, and it really opened up a new world.

It's a sad day for car enthusiasts everywhere.

Sad.

While what he was doing was risky, there is always a certain element of risk in doing anything in relation to any sort of high performance car. Especially one with a reputation like the Porsche Carrera GT.

RIP. I'd say at least he died doing something he loved doing, but if it were me, I'd rather not be the guy who died in the passenger seat. :(

I found out about this in a rather bizarre way. I was at a friends watching the Territorial Cup and tuned in on a conversation some of the guys sitting next to me were having a little late. At first I thought they were talking about the actual plot of the movie (I haven't seen the last three), at which point I whacked the guy closest to me in the arm and said "Hey, dude! Don't spoil it! I haven't seen them yet!" at which point he said, "No, he actually died." At this point I became confused and thought they were talking about CARS and Paul Newman, but they confirmed it was Walker.

I sat quietly in dis-belief for the rest of the game for the most part. We lost a real car guy, one of our own.

And the image of the vigil at the spot of the accident damn near made me tear up when I saw that someone had laid out a pair of Toyota Supra tail lights on the curb.

Holy damn!
According to iMDB, a Fast & Furious 7 was set to be released in late 2014. Paul Walker was in the cast. What will happen now?!
Reminds me of when Brandon Lee was shot, while filming. Film of course was The Crow, and live ammunition had somehow made it onto the set, killing the film's star. They finished that film, but I don't know how much of the filming they had already completed when Lee was killed, and his character wore heavy make up in this movie, which I'm sure helped with the completion of the film greatly.

It will be interesting as one article said they were days away from filming some of Paul's critical scenes.

Yes, he was set to film them sometime this week actually. Apparently, the film may be scrapped since emotions are so high that many of the actors are claiming they are leaving the franchise for good.

I think its mostly because there is so much confusion and activity going on right now that most people simply just don't know. When they see something similar, they automatically assume it's him.

But even still, its not the right thing to do! :/

If thats the case, the picture that i saw in twitter that i mention is fake. And that makes me angry that someone posted that disturbing picture and says its him!

I'm not too suprised. Like I mentioned earlier, the pictures showed someone with absolutely zero burns.

Just a heads up to everyone, if you want that FF6 poster with Paul on it you can get one here for fairly cheap. And for today only, if you put this coupon code in at checkout: (HUV426) they'll take 30% off.

Get them while you can. (thanks to @a6m5 for the heads up!) 👍

To be honest, i was very confused about this situation and had little info on the crash (as i just found out that day). I could understand that someone found that picture and it looked like him, had litte info about the crash and wanted so show it to everyone. But even so, its never a good idea to post anything that horrible and disgusting picture on Twitter. It could also be that they wanted a reaction. If thats the case, 🤬.

Please don't tell me people are making profit from this... :indiff:

Some people are just scum. Someone created a page yesterday pretending to be his daughter on Facebook asking for likes=RIP. Truly disgusting.

There is a site called Laced Up that is selling "RememberTheBuster" stickers in Paul's honor.
http://lacedlifestyle.bigcartel.com/product/rememberthebuster-stickers

All proceeds to Paul's charity.

I’ve been seeing and noticing post about Paul Walker passing in a car crash, which we all know he is a famous guy car. But what of the car guy or gal that passed away that no one knows? Where is all the prays and crying for them? People take noticed to people for the wrong things.

I think people are trying to on eBay, which is why I went with this site which is selling them legit (and not because of the accident) I just wanted one as that particular photo is fantastic and really says a lot about Paul.

Just to confirm though, this site is NOT selling them for any reason connected to the accident. Just trying to help people out in here that might also want one for cheaper than they are going for on eBay. I would stress to hurry though as that 30% off is today only.
