Decided not to try to improve my time for round 3. I was pretty happy with it and don't feel like re-learning my way through lap 1 and beating myself up chasing perfection right now. :)

Results post updated.

The car was a lot of fun to drive, it will pretty much do anything you tell it to(except hold the line in that last corner flat). It does like to get a little wild but always comes back. I think I actually like this half of Barcelona more than the half that the career keeps forcing me to run on, but that might just be because I'm so sick of the National layout and the cheap puntbots there.

Make that 6 then still 5 because this time I remembered to say...

The back end gets a little wayward if you let it, but keep that under control and it is a lovely chuck-able car. The club layout is good fun, suits the "slower" cars. I think that last corner is off camber!

@Mr Grumpy Rich hasn't been racing because he's got a bad back and shoulder! He'll be back when he can.

I included you already :)

I hated this 3rd combo so much that car drove me crazy.

With stability on it loses power when your taking a turn killing the speed of the car and with stability off i have a hard time not spinning on every turn. :banghead:

That's what playing PC3 does to you I'm afraid :)

Where's the @Chikane_GTR gone that sets blistering pace in his P1 around Monza?

The only place I seem to have real trouble with it spinning is in the last high-speed turn, that one always takes a little counter-steer. Helps if you lift a bit near where the bots do(but not the way they do it). It is a bit of a balancing act to to get the absolute best out of it though.

It was a fun combo, @IfAndOr. :) Keeping the RX Lite in line for the fastest time is fairly challenging with a controller, and more challenging when you're used to just drifting the RX cars everywhere, which of course loses too much time for a competition on a regular circuit like this. :D Pedal to the metal through the last corner without letting it accrue too much angle.

@IfAndOr I didn”t like that car on our FRI races, but more I drived it more I liked it. Followed you sugestions and set AI to 77/66 - they were very slow, spend 2 hours on these serttings, that set to 109/66 and they were much better. Saddly didn”t have time and did only one race on these settings. Got this

Best combo so far, @IfAndOr

If put reasonable time into this, could come up with something better. It is always cool to have fun with fun car, but this whole concept with bots just killing all interest. I did screwed some time in this race, but couldn't force myself to make more races, but at least have a good base set up when will need to race this car.

Also didn't had much trouble with overheating, even with fairly closed duckts, on 9th lap had left rear overheating on that corner, but at the end of straight it get cooled down completely. If play with pressure and rear toe this problem could be solved completely.

Racing with the bots can be fun. Running laps for the best time can be fun. Trying to set the best time while also racing with the bots is a bit awkward at best.

I try not to worry about them too much, as long as they don't push me off or completely block my progress for a long time. I just find the quickest way past them at the start to avoid their first-lap idiocy and then either pass them quickly and run my own race or drop into place and follow them if they're faster. It's a competition but it's supposed to be casual fun after all. :)

Remember the bots are supposed to be us
It's a pity you can't change the name of the bots, that'd add some personality to your races.

Anyway, after just looking through the rules again, I've realised that I've been racing with tyre wear on. :dopey:
I was wondering why no one had mentioned that their tyres were getting rather depleted towards the end at Barcelona. Just me then. :D

With the slow bots on the first race and now the tyres I'm running my own handicap system! Don't worry I'll get the hang of it by the time of the last race. :)

Remember the bots are supposed to be us, so which one of us are giving you trouble :)

You know I'm racing online mostly and real human don't drive like that. How frustrating can be people they not an unstoppable train of illogical reactions and moves.

So far I've found some races having the AI at my pace has helped, but not this one lol. I had a very fun race with them at 100 or so but I spent so much time fighting them my time was appalling . I mean my time now isn't great, but at least now I know that's on me and not the bots!

Was hoping to get it under 10:30 but it wasn't quite to be - results post updated.

send him a psn message to see how he is & if he's better, if not see if he wants to put a time in on a controller if he's still hurting.
I will. 👍 However I don't think he's used a controller before so... It might be best to class him as mechanical failure and move on.

Today is race day so I'll see if he's about.

I'm too planing to spend some time with my combo. I need a good set up for this car, so might as well prepare it through testing and see what I can do.
Also got to find a sweet spot where bots will be nor fast nor slow, to me freely enjoy hot lapping, or else I will come to the end of this championship without any decent metal health.

Plus got to put my hands on PC3, and it seems it is not going to be easy too, since somehow there are developers living in 2011 and don't know how to make career online and offline. But who am I fooling, SMS can't do both, no matter subject.

I love the Caterham. And like the track (it's much better than in GTS). ;)

I'm not liking the AI so much though. "Get out of my way!" :P

There was no sigh of Rich @Mr Grumpy, message sent. I'd probably continue though.
Fortunately they are pretty good at getting out of your way here. As long as you catch up to them in the right places... and ask nicely enough in a few others. It's pretty bad when they are side-by-side though.
