It's a joke. Mohammed gets censored everywhere. He's the original Man with No Face.
Tell that to Charlie Hebdo,

I'm guessing they couldn't get Jesus or the Pope to sign a release to have their pictures in the game.Well colour me shocked. I have stumbled upon this scape of a Christian church and found out that PD blurred the images of Jesus and Pope. I think censoring something so deeply embedded in history of Italy which is pretty much the hearth of Christianity is very rude. Why did they create this shot with the church in the first place just so they could censor these signs?? I don't get it and I am very sad about this.
I don't mind seeing Buddha in Asian countries or muslim signs in Arabia. It's naturally a part of the countries and a part of their culture.
What do you guys think about this?
Is it possible the artist has copyright on the images?
Yep, it'll just be a facial recognition algorithm that blurs every face it picks up.The whole pit crew in one of the 'ring scapes are blurred as well.
Are they Jesus? Maybe the Pope?
Or just maybe its been done to all the faces and its got nothing at all to do with religion?

Tell that to Charlie Hebdo,
Nitpicking much?
Yeah this is soooooo much betterShhh, at least we’re not talking about the lack of tracks and a single player career for once.
Sounds like you have some personal issues. If this is Christians being oppressed/censored you have it easy ffs. Enjoy your privilege
On the contrary, we each have different preferences. What if the issue as initially raised was true, that PD was censoring religious symbolism but only Christian symbols? To me that would be important enough to warrant discussion no matter which religious symbols they chose to single out for censorship because it would have brought PD into realm of social activism if the censorship was not uniformly applied. So we discuss it for a couple of hours here on GTP and find out it looks like they are simply blurring all faces and it has nothing to do with religion. All's well that ends well. You may not find this important but others do and minimizing their concerns by mocking their life choices isn't exactly making a great contribution to the discussion.Soooooooo...................?
I for one detest religion. I don't really see that it matters at all? If anyone genuinely minds that two pictures in a computer game have been blurred then I would strongly suggest they take a very hard look at what's important in life.

I do think it wasn't a good choice to include any scape with a blurred face. It's silly and totally ruins the shot anyway.

Annoyed about what?If you're going to blur something out, why include the scape to begin with? It not only ruins the shot but in this case I'm a little annoyed (probably because I'm Catholic, but we'll leave that for a different thread).
Whilst I see your point, belief systems have no place in a multicultural platform.
I'm happy to accept it's facial recognition software blurring it though.
Do people honestly care? I doubt it.
Gee I don't know what I could possibly be annoyed with...Annoyed about what?
You're annoyed that one of your religious images is not visible in the game. On the other hand I am offended every single time ANY religious image is pushed onto me without my consent.Gee I don't know what I could possibly be annoyed with...

I guess we have different definitions of multiculturalism. I guess you object to some of the flags in GTSport as well? Union Jack? Australian Flag? Finnish Flag? Afghanistan?Whilst I see your point, belief systems have no place in a multicultural platform.

I see a religious symbol connected to you every time you post. Did you constent to it? Have you contacted GTP about it being forced on you or do you just get offended every time you post? You're annoyed that one of your religious images is not visible in the game. On the other hand I am offended every single time ANY religious image is pushed onto me without my consent.
Honestly this may be the most plausible explanation. That's ridiculous indeed. Unless the Pope and the Vatican were contacted about this and said "no, we don't want out religious symbols portrayed in a videogame".
