Permanent Borrow Glitch Trading Thread

This does not seem to work also on disks that come pre loaded with the 1.13 patch. If someone know how to get around this please let me know. Thanks.

I currently have the "permaborrow" method down to about a 10 minute process using two HDD's, including the reinstatement of dlc. I have one set with my running fully patched game and the other running 1.05 only.

Anyway, the reason for my post, does anyone have an X2010 Prototype on share that I could grab? I've been trying, (with no success) to gold the challenges since day one and even bought a DFGT to try and make it, but I still end up a couple of seconds off. (Except the Suzuka one which I did the under-track glitch)

I have all X2010/X2011 Red Bull's for you.
Give me a PM, maybe you have also something that I could use. 👍

COMPLETED, many thanks buddy

Great teamwork! I liked it very much. If there is anything I can help you with, please let me know!!

Oh and your the first to hear if it works... 👍

I got the sponge trick going earlier today using two PS3s. I ran into two small issues at first, but they were easy to resolve. First the game would hang at the "GT" logo right after the warming message that the game has an auto save feature. The culprit was the Toyota 86 GT '12 that I had selected as my car in the garage, since that car was not in the original game. The second issue was the controller not working at the "My Home" screen. That was caused by the wallpaper that I was using not being in the original game either. After that, it's all good. :)

Nice, I have also all the Redbulls (all colours) including the Prototype ... only with 126 switches. :grumpy:

Under-track glitch does it still work?

For the most part you can still get out of the tracks, but pd have patched it so that you'll reset to the circuit quite quickly afterwards.

Not working for me. :indiff:

It's hanging after the "Accessing game data, Please do not switch off the system while HDD access indicator is flashing" screen.

this, infinite black screen after this message....should i wait it out?

edit: updated to 2.05, now freezing at GT Life screen...can't move the cursor but the game doesn't seem to be frozen as i can still access XMB, wtf.

Try changing your wallpaper to the first one at the top, and the bottom color to blue at the far left.

You don't actually need to change out of the car in 2.05, just hit the save button on the front screen. Works for me every time.

i realized this afterwards, because when i got frozen on 2.05 at first i let the rest of the updates install to try it again, once i redid the glitch i had two of the glitched car in my garage so yeah, it's not necessary to even switch cars.

I get a black screen every time I delete my game data and try to load the game. My wallpaper and background are the default ones. Any help?

A lot of space is used from museum cards.
Unfortunately you cannot delete those.

So how can i lower my size to the limit right its out 4165 will that work but i couldn't move the cursor to go to garage to change cars.

There isn't really an option..

Maybe start a second account....collect there and put them on share when you want to use them on your main account.

It only happens when I downgrade. If I download the latest update everything works fine. My save is smaller than 2000kb

So let me make sure I am correct.

Borrow the car and set background color/picture as the first one. Then save and exit GT5.
Delete game data.

But my question is you do have to then disable Internet connection the start GT5? Or start GT5 and update till a certain version then cancel it (if this then which version?). Maybe one of you won't mind posting a step by step. Much appreciated if you would.

I just have a couple cars that i want on my new profile that have transmission setups that i lost.

You disable Internet connection in "Network Settings"

This is a 2 PS3 way but it's the same steps and with 1 PS3.

So do that but skip the step with the two PS3 part.

See I did this a long time ago many times in fact but the last time I actually tried it i go this black screen with the HDD light flashing every so often. I will try this tonight i hope it doesn't do it again.

I have the very same issue. If you fix it be sure to post back here with the solution!

I believe that you should follow the steps, except that you will be doing them on one PS3 instead of two. After you delete the updates, must then update the game to 1.05 and the car that you are trying to sponge must be in the original game or the game will lock up at some point while loading.

XoteRz, try that as well.

Sorry just wanted to bump it so others with the problem can see it.
