anyways, I think it's necessary to keep the ban.

What if you get swindled out of your 20,000,000 Cr. Ferrari 330 P/4 race car? What are you gonna do then?

Imagine the grief if you got scammed out of your Miura.

That would be no fun. If cars are under the 1,000,000 Cr. limit they will be easy to replace, so I think that the 1,000,000 Cr. limit is necessary.

It's a gift option, there was never meant to be "trading" let alone a whole marketplace for such things.. But I strongly agree with lifting the limit.. I have so many cars that I would love to give to my friend but can't.. Pescarolo's, formula gt's, all extra just sittin in my garage

If they are going to get rid of the gift limit then they will have to lock the saves again so if you loose your PS3 to YLOD/theft you will have to start all over again. Fair is fair right?

It's always a question of balance. They could either let people trade freely and accept a certain number of abuses, or they could generally restrict trading and make everyone suffer from that. They decided to do the latter.

See sig.

People were, from what I've heard, duping cars and selling them on Ebay. If I'm incorrect, then someone please inform me so. If there weren't those who would so unscrupulously abuse the privilege, then there'd be no no need for the limit.

What if PD made a trading system where you can see what your offer and other person's offers are? Then hit a submit button and presto! You got what you wanted without getting scammed! 👍

That's why I trade second, so I know exactly what I am getting.

Cars under the 1 million limit can be difficult to replace (especially if it is standard), and instead of having a 1 mil limit, make it be able to trade up to 3 cars instead.

I think the trading limit is fine the way it is now. I don't see how increasing the number of trades per day improves anything. If it was five a day then people would be complaining that it wasn't ten a day.

If PDI were to do anything it should be to just remove any restrictions on trading at all. Then everyone could start complaining about something else they don't like.

PD is too focused on creating content to put in petty trading updates. Not everyone is sincere when it comes to trading multimillion dollar cars.

Sure people want to trade second, but, again, not everyone is sincere.

Which is harder to replace? A two million dollar Citroen or a 320,000 dollar ferrari 599?

But then u have other instances.. Which is harder to replace a 2 million dollar Citroen or the CZ-3 Tarmac or the Pontiac solstice concept? Both extremely rare but sub $100k??

I've seen the solstice appear 8 times in total, the CZ-3 5 times. Rarity differs.

Confirmed. Days after launch you could buy almost any car from ebay... assuming the seller fullfilled their promise.

Rather than increase the limit (either value limit or quantity), I'd rather have an online auction opition. Especially if it were sponsored by Barrett-Jackson.

I used to not send cars very much so it never really bothered me, but as of lately I've started making replica cars to share with people, and I've come to realize that not only have they patched the old trick to be able to gift more than one car per day, they've patched it so you have to wait a full 24 hours in between sending cars.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Sharing cars in GT5 should not be limited to one car every 24 hours. 4 or 5 cars a day I can see being reasonable.

If you agree, sign the petition and hopefully PD takes notice.

I second that

I believe the Red Bull in question is the 2010 prototype awarded for all gold in the Vettel challenge, not the S. Vettel version ( which is also awarded for B-spec level 35 and for his championship) or the 2011 prototype that was DLC.

So there goes that arguement.

Except, you know, an overly pedantic clarification doesn't change the fact that PD gave EVERYONE the car.

People will always absue such systems. Of course I am against abuse, but as soon as something becomes rare, there will be someone trying to make money or whatever form of compensation of it. That's the way humanity works.

What I am talking about is a very general question whose answer is solely with the manufacturer of the product: you either accept that there will be abuse, or you introduce a system that prevents abuse. If you do the latter, you will have to accept that there may be loopholes for further abuse and that the rightful user of the system will suffer from these limits. It is a low level decision PD had to meet at some point: live with it or put a lock on everything. They decided to put a lock on everything.

There is no right or wrong regarding this decision, it is just a decision. It seems however that many of the rightful users would rather do without any limits, because it enables them to play the game as freely as they want. The content aside, Gran Turismo has always been about possibilities. Loads of cars, loads of tracks, loads of races and thus almost endless ways to play the game.

That said, one can come to the conclusion that GT5 has been locked down in a way. There are many things you mustn't do in this game, because PD was worried that one could misuse this open system. But the limitations take the aforementioned freedom and thus a good part of the fun away. And since fun is a top priority when playing a game, it might not have been the best way to handle things.

The Car limit is not that much of an issue to me although I'd prefer it without but the thing that annoys me is the paint trade limit. The paint system as a whole is flawed and the only way for me to get my racing livery (matte purple and yellow wheels) is to dupe them from my other account.

I would agree that the limitations have their uses, but are VERY annoying when doing legitimate gifting. Takes five days to give a friend a few cars, oh man!

I am against lifting the trade limit and both limits - car value limit and day limit - are perfectly understandable from my point of view.

But then again, that is just me.

Yes i totally agree and i think they should also scrap the fact you cant sell certain cars after buying them which is a bit crap when your low on money and a car comes up in used dealership.
