If we could get it onto FM.net somehow, I think it'd get signed a lot more... To bad the moderators are so strict over there :indiff:

Tell me about it. I think my account over there is restricted now for trying to post it earlier.

Yeah, just checked Porsche's Facebook page.

Hopefully it gets spammed so severely that they take notice.

Yeah... Nothing against a bit of moderating going on to keep the place under control, and I never really minded it so far. But stopping these peititions just seems dumb.

Of course, it kinda shows that they're willing to play nicely with EA and such, but still.
Someone on FM.net just posted this.

"Porsche's facebook page is flooded right now with peoples comments telling them to void EA's contract."
Ha, I like that! I never knew the FM fans could be that unpleasent :dopey:

I would imagine GT5/PS3 only owners would be interested in signing this petition.

If EA frees up the license to MS, or Porsche desides to broaden the license when it's time to renew, it could very well lead to Porsches in a future GT title as well. Also, the GT community is a very large installed base. Getting this changed will benefit the GT series every bit as much as it would benefit the FM series.

My bet, it won't surpass the 720-750 signatures, which in statistics represents about 0.0023% of the potential market for the game, and I don't think that it gets the media attention either.

I see no point, either benefit, and EA will be under similar boycotts for the Origin stuff, so no attention either.

Most of the time, I think these things are pretty ridiculous. Although, I will sign it. Will it help? Most likely not. But, I don't care.

Is this really a thing that hurts EA by drawing attention to it? Usually they have to issue a press release and pump it to all their affiliate sites to tell people about their exclusive licenses. They should send a thankyou note for reminding everyone you know.

I think an angry mob would be much easier than a petition.

I'll sign anyways though.

Didn't they already say that working out a deal with EA had already been tried and was found to be unfeasible?

Yeah. They also tried have "people in Porsche circles" lobby for them, and it was no use. I'm pretty sure, no matter what, EA isn't going to budge. Shame.

Yeah, we know..we get it...you don't like Forza. The rest of us will continue to support the plea for Porsche, k tx.

Looking at Facebook, it wouldn't suprise me if this petition gof a little bit bigger than just 750 signatures. There seem to be a lot of people who're taking interest in this.

Are you saying he doesn't own Forza 3?
He does own an Xbox right?

No, I am not saying that all. I was pointing out his pessimism towards the release of Forza 4 in every one of his posts.

Sorry.

I can't understand criticism if you don't have a vested interest in it.
At least own the system or something.

I'm not going into an iRacing thread to knock stuff I don't know about.

There's only one poster here who doesn't even own an Xbox and regularly posts that I know of.

No biggie, just me.

Viral-marketing 101 :)
