Here's the pic of the Eat Inn, except due to copyright issues the names of the restaurants have been changed :(

Dood, seriously, who cares about a stupid building... this is a RACING game. They could've used the time better spent on the cars.

Div is back
PGR3 isn't about realism...

I keep forgetting that but I still think it's a cop out.

While I agree with all your other points, this is silly. The developers of PGR THEMSELVES admit PGR hasn't been designed to be an accurate simulation of car physics, compared to something like GTR.

Especially with something like Kudos points... WTF is that?? :cough: wannabe NFS:U :cough:

I reckon GT4 has the better physics, remember they did a lot of testing all those cars.

Very nice.

I can sum this up in a single word.
"Bollocks"

I'm not too up to date on my English slang, but is bollocks good or bad? This is really off topic, lol, but the only time I've ever heard "bollocks" in London while I was there I was talking to someone about a Tuscan I saw and the guy told me that the car was "the dogs bollocks" he said that was a positive thing...but update me, cuz I've heard other things too :P

Back on topic:

Drop GT4, it looks bad compared to PGR3. PGR3 has higher poly's, better textures, and freaking AMAZING motion blur. Period.

GT5 will look better, but that's so far away who even cares right now.

GT5 might even looke EXPONENTIALLY better. I mean. PGR3 is amazing, aesthetically. I have no complaints other than the wheel blur. But GT5... my mind staggers under the weight of sheer speculation.

The only reason everyone thinks GT5 will be better is because we are on a GT board, go to a PGR3 or a Forza board, they all think their game is the best. Hell just buy them all, you can't lose.

no. I KNOW it'll look better because a) it's on more powerful hardware b) it's made by polyphony digital, who've shown time and again that they're peerless with a dev kit, and c) because it won't be out for a while yet, so it won't be a rushed launch title like PGR3.

+1 lol

Spot on.

PGr3 looks AMAZING for what it is, and that's a launch title. I expect every good racing game, to hopefully use the motion blur they use to give everything a real feel to it. This game has a very nice presentation as far as speed goes. It makes you feel like you're moving fast.

Anyone who doubts GT5 will look better, regardless of board, because I am a diehard car game fan, Burnout is one of my all time favorites, and it's arcade to the bone, do don't bring boards up. GT5 will look better, and that's all their is to be said, lol. Though I fear as far as physics, and maybe even AI, it won't improve dramatically, but damage may make up for that.

No you don't know because the only thing we have to go on with GT5 is a few rendered pictures and a rendered movie. I'm waiting for actual screens before I make my conclusion, I suggest you do to our you'll sound like and idiot.

think about this logically. and don't be hostile.

its safe to ASSUME that it will look better. period.

here, in syllogistic form for you:

Polyphony digital has always achieved the best visuals on each generation of hardware.

Gran Turismo 5 is developed by Polyphony digital

Therefore, Gran turismo 5 will have the best visuals on it's generation of hardware.

Unless some dev comes out of the woodwork and blows everyone's mind's with a photorealistic racing game. but that hasnt entered into the equation yet. And don't say Forza. Forza had some neat effects but a dull art direction and funky car models. GT4 looked better on inferior hardware.

PS3 is more powerful than the Xbox360. it's a given. I'm not saying it's better, because frankly, as much as I've heard about it, it isn't. But strictly speaking of graphics, GT's got that in it's pocket.

You sound like a fan boy now, you just think because Polyphony makes it, it'll be the best thing since sliced bread. It's like people saying if Honda makes it, it'll be awesome.

I'm not saying GT5 won't look good, because I bet it will, but to say its going to be the best looking is idiotic since we have no in game shots, where as we have in game shots of PGR3.

it's an educated guess. and fan boy is a ridiculous thing to be calling me. Gt4 dissapointed the hell out of me. But it sure was pretty. No one can argue that.

Polyphony is unmatched on the VISUAL side of things. They have very skilled and experienced artists. On the gameplay and audio side of things, they're lapped by other devs.

So you are telling me that out of the thousand of games out there, no one can touch Polyphony's visuals? That's absurd, that's crazy, that's fan boy-ish. I'm sorry but you sound like a fan boy. I highly doubt GT5 will be the best looking game out when it comes out.

GT4 looked decent yes, but I don't think it was the best looking game on the market.

Gee... now what was I saying?

Fanboy...

as far as photo-realistic racing games are concerned. yup. name one.

Rallisport 2 is the closest. prettier in many respects. but not as realistic looking. which is the point.

So whats it going to take to see you bastards race me online? :)
(Obviously a question for those who own it)

heh maybe next week. I got a bunch of research papers to write for now. I'll be racing as Gold Caprice

GT4 wasn't photo realistic, I could clearly distinguish real life from the game. Photo realistic would make me believe I was actually driving a real car.

I don't play many racing games, pretty much Forza as of now, which doesn't look as good as GT4, but its still good. However, I can't think of a PS2 racing game that looks better. I could easily name any Xbox 360 racing game, but how fair is it to put a new gen system up against an old one? Not very.

now you're totally straying from my statements. Of it's generation, remember? PGR3 blows it out of the water, obviously.

And photorealism is implied as a style, or look. No games look exactly like real life.

How am I straying? I said I could name many Xbox 360 games but it wouldn't be fair. I don't play many racing games though so I can't even name one. I don't even know the ones out there to name.

Photorealism implies it looks like a video, not a game. I can clearly tell I'm playing a game.

look at the words I'm using. IS IMPLIED. stop running in circles. I made a statement that is valid. GT5 will look better than PGR3. Think of it as cruel fate, and stop harrying me.

No because you are saying that a game with out screen shots will be better then a game that is already out. It's an idiotic statement.

BlazinXtreme, stop. You are just shooting for the start.

GT5 will be the best looking racer next generation. That is all there is to it.

GT4 was the best "looking" LOOKING racer this generation. Not the best looking title OVERALL, but RACER.

Let that set in before you post some more jibberish.

ALso, it's kind of ironic you would call so many people idiots, yet spell so many words wrong in your posts, followed by gramatical errors. I'm not one to nit pick, but english is something you should be strong in if you're going to call someone an idiot, especially in a debate.

heads up for you racing fans, NFS:MW demo is available for download in the marketplace...and yes, it's free.
