Balang is correct. Even if we got 50 entries, only the 8 most voted will advance. The poll will have a multi-vote option, meaning you can vote in more than one shot. You guys can vote for your favourite ones, or even if you have only one favourite, you can vote just on that one.
In previous Tournaments the system was different. There was a number of open spots to fill the Tournament, and the first members to reply in the thread "I enter", they were already eligible to enter in the Tournament, meaning when all the spots were filled (back then it was 16 spots) no one else could enter. In the current system all the guys that wanna enter at least have a chance, thats why this qualification round exists.

Hope this explanation helps.

P.S - Now, there is only 8 spots instead of 16, mostly to make a more competitive Tournament
 
Everyone is taking a while. You all think if you dont think its good then its bad and start over? Well, this means some really great pics comin up.
 
Almost sent in a disgusting entry... Thankfully at last second, I realized how ugly it was and refrained. Then I started over and sent in a deacent looking one.
 
I think on further reflection my entry isn't the best from that particular shoot but I'll just have to wait and see what everyone else thinks in the Polls.

Not quite. Sabine drove a 911 GT3 in last years Ring 24hr (I know, I watched it).

also: I am currently combing my gallery for a suitable shot. maybe I'll just get lazy and send in that one that I couldn't use for PMC week 162 if I can't find anything, hehe.

I didn't cheap out. chose a different shot. mainly because everyone would have known that the BTR was mine, and that wouldn't be fair.

Shot entered, anyway.

i know she did, but i guess you're right, it wouldn't make much sense to use the RUF porsche. but i'd still love to see a bmw vs ruf competition, or something like, Art Wolfe inspired phototravel scenery comp. i don't know. goodluck with the entry. good call on not using a familiar car.

THEME SUGGESTION

Lets have a vote on the ugliest car (Cizeta or somthing) and then try and shoot that car at such an angle it actually looks good.

The current entry list is quite something. Good to have new guys, and at the same time is always good to see old vets enter. Hope all of you enjoy this season of the Tournament. The quality is high 👍

I am not good in PMC honestly. It's not like I can turn a boring picture into a masterpiece. I wish I can figure out how to take proper motion shot like jinjinweiwei, or master the photomode like magburner :D Anyhow CF you make lots of quality shot. I have faith in you finishing at top spots
 
I sincerely wish I had GT4 still. Mag and Bram have helped me so much to understand photomode (particularly the scaling of the car). I know I could take much better shots now than before.
 
You say this closes on Monday, what time Monday? Midnight G.M.T.?
