in the position the car is sitting it is impossible to see some of the side were you sit on in the seat. Yet yr seat is placed like that

Okay, I finally got around to doing one of these.

Original on top ... reworked on the bottom (clickable)

Enjoy!

Nice!! great job but personlly I would have 86 the gt logos on the air dam
They can be turned off, but then it is a bit too empty in that area. I will have to find something small to replace them. Maybe some PIAA lights or the like ....

very nice work .... Vicious
have you seen Shelby Cobra GT500 laterly?

I like this front grill design better
anyway ... are you a mustang fan?
Well, no more a Mustang fan than any other car, I just happen to have more shots of it then the rest ... more shots means more options for good projects.

Thank you and s2000lover for your praise.

Now beleive it or not, but there as almost 5 hours work in that pic. Cleaning up after the PS2 can take a while! :sly: Not to mention distorting the side graphics, fabricating the skirting, and so on ...

I have the FORD logo in a truetype font. I could just use it ... hmmmmm .... have to think on that one.

Do you guys use 3d models or real life parts to photochop them into gt4 pic?
I can't make 3D models worth beans, so I use paths (to get the main shape), brush to fill it in, some clone, and a lot of dodge and burn.

This is absolutely brilliant Vicious VP!! You should write a tutorial, you have skills.
More tuts? I have two up already! Hehehehehe! Not about this mind you, but they are there. (psssss, look in my sig :sly: )

Anyhoo, this one (or this type of thing) would be a pain to make a tut for because you REALLY have to know your tools. Lasso, marquee, paths, gradients, dodge, burn, blur, transform, erase, masks, lots of layers (this has 25 NOT counting adjustment layers) ... and I think that about covers all the tools.

A lot of the style I use, I got from skinning weapons for Counter Strike over the last couple years.

I could try to put a tut together for a small are job or the like. I will grind on it ... :)

Oh, and THANK YOU for the praise!

PS: The truth be known, I'm actually still tweaking it right now .. shhhhhh ....

what did you fix?
I think you have a problem on the bridgestone windshield sticker
top of the right side stretch too much to the right ...

You look to be correct on the sticker ... I can fix that.

What did I do? I:
  • adjusted the brightness - adjustment layer
  • saturated it a bit to bring out some color - adjustment layer
  • desaturated parts of the road - adjustment layer
  • fixed a few more areas on the car - like the non-round wheel wells, jagged edges ALL over but mostly in the grill area.
  • put a lip on the front air dam
  • fixed a "bump" in the hood - a polygon corner
  • fixed a "bump" on the top - a polygon corner
  • added some color to the rear signal light
  • cleaned up the "door lines"
  • changed the text at the top - the font rather
and that is about all I can recall at one in the morning. :sly:

If you look at the large image, you can see that it is actually really clean all over.

I see ...
You know what ... it is quite an impressive work
considering how bad quality GT4 photos are in general
sometimes cleaning up texture takes longer time than adding new stuff
my last comment: I think the CF hood could look better, if you look up the texture, it isn't really line up with the contour. Also it can be smoother on those highlights on the hood ...

Real carbon fiber is hard to work with .... FAKE is even harder. Especialy at such an angle. If the shot was more down at the car, it would make it easier to tweek. It is also hard to deal with that REAL carbon fiber texture I have on there. It does not have the reflective properties that the real stuff does in sunlight.

If I get the time I 'll play with it more later in the day ... :D
