I totally understand
that's why warp tool can be very helpful in this situation
anyway ... you seem to have quite alot free time to make nice stuff

?- What rimz are on the Supra? They look like phucking cobra R rimz!

- Whatever they are take them off!

- Didn't mean to scream at you!

- Your doing an amazing job!

This is absolutley brilliant Vicious VP!! You should write a tutorial, you have skills.

I am not a troll. I fully respect your P.S. skills. I have been trying to learn PS and Gimp for years and I've never been able to even change the wheels, let alone physical aspects of said vehicle. That being said "STAMPEED" I believe is spelled stampede.

Cheers.

Hello I-am-not-a-troll :sly: ... and you may be right! Better fix that!

Just looking at all these photoshops, I cant wait for GT4 Tuners edition (Yamauchi (sp?) mentioned he would like to do a version like so in the future), so many cool things to do. :D Admit it, you all have a secret fetish to modify your cars visually :P Need for speed has given customizing a bad rap in my opinion.

Finally blow the dust off my XBOX when Forza Motorsport comes out, I think its going to be huge online. Especially with the customizing of your cars and having the whole world see it. It should be fun. Not like NFSU, where it is so over-riced its not funny. We need a NFSU 'like' game but with a real simulator.

And do some more flip up door photoshops, they are quite interesting :)

My favorite car was not in the game (Pontiac Firebird), however its chassis brother was (Chevrolet Camaro), so body lines are similar. I decided to photoshop the camaro into a firebird :dopey:. Its my first chop, so be gentle. I could of done it better, but its just time consuming making all the shades blend together, and it is a bit out of porportion, but thats due to not having an exact angle photo to work with the GT4 one. but I think this is decent. BTW, I did a camaro/firebird 'love child' lol, it has the trans am firebird front clip and lights but the camaro SS hood/body/rear. Since they are both off the same platform and body structure, there isnt -that- much of a difference.

👍

Its just a matter of having the logos and the stripes available, besides that its just a matter of transparency and stretching them the right way. But that does look very good 👍

As you say, the stripes were the easy part. It's the parts that did not exist that were the tricky bit ... :sly:

Thats a great chop but please take the Camaro hood off of the Trans Am. The camaro hood is soo ugly. The Trans am hood is what makes that car look soo incredible!!!

Hey all, franz just directed me to this thread, and there is some nice stuff in here! s2000lover, that Civic is GREAT! I love the one with the primer look! And of course, Vicious VP, that Stang is amazingly smooth and realistic!

Well I've got one I would like to share with you all... Vicious VP inspired this one after seeing his amazing Stang. (Hey Vicious, I would love to hear how you made those wavy stripes and side graphics! Those are Killer! I am still in awe of it! )

Ok, enough blabbing, Here she is:

Here is the original picture:

I figure I spent about 3 - 4 hrs on it. It turned out better than I thought I could do! I think I am gonna give that yellow Civic a go! Later...

Great work guys. I really like the Ford GT 440 Charger

Original

New colours, darkened lights, badges removed, some vinyls

It was mainly just colouring in this. I've never tried adding bodykits or anything. I might attempt it later, but I don't like my chances :nervous:

It looks more green, but that Commodore SS in my pic is silver. I coloured it in by creating a new layer (on top of the car pic)>> setting layer style to Overlay>> then getting a brush and colouring the car in. That's how I darkened the tail lights too.
Instead of using the brush you can just make a selection of the car and Fill with the colour you want.

I'm not sure how well it will work with a black car though.

I usually use the selection way. But for the SS I used the brush tool and coloured in, and just erased the areas I went over the line. I don't know if it was quicker, but it felt like it. Maybe I just found it less boring then selecting around the car

Do you use a different method to colour in ones that aren't white/black/silver?
And also, is that Civic contest you posted a few pages back still going?

I usually dulpicate the original to a new layer
use hue/satuation method (adjust the setting as well, so you can use different colour)
then create layer mask, and brush all the background, taillights, windows, license plate, wheels, etc in black. Big area I use large brush, some detail part I zoom in 300-400% and use size 2-7 brush ... it may take long but very acurate

ps - The civic is still in progress ... there's no time limit
I am going to work on mine next week

what about the path tool? i usually use the path tool to go around things, its alot easier i reckon.

yea, that civic is jst a thing u can do if ur bored, :P no time limit

franz
I still don't know what path is :guilty:
better go learn what it is :P

Me Neither! My professor went over it in the class I took, but I never caught on... That and the Layer Masks... Maybe I will have to pull out the old Photoshop Classroom in Book! I think it covers that stuff!

paths + masks are really helpful :D

especially the path tool, if u wanna select something, or go around something thats got alot of edges, this is ur best tool :)

Thanx Sir!

As for the side graphics, they are done with a .TTF I found on the internet called "Vehicle Decals 'Flames & Art'". Check around and see if you can locate it.

If I did not have them, I would have used paths, as was suggested.

Sorry I can not uplaod the font ATM, but I am not at my PC and am on DAIL UP! YACK!!!!!!!

Ohh, BTW, tha xtras on the Stang (front, side and rear) were done with PATHS and painted in. There were a few masks used in there as well.

Well guys, here is a little something I came up with:

Nothin too special about it. Just your typical black hood (I would appreciate it if someone could direct me to a tutorial on making a carbon-fiber hood, Thanks!:) ) And I made a few other things black. I tried for a while trying to get the wheels to look right but I just could'nt get them to look right for some reason??? Oh well... And of course, that flame! I know it's kinda of a wierd looking flame, but I sat down and taught myself how to use paths, so that's what I came up with. I had it a blue color but it just did'nt match the car. I also tried to do a little window tinting but it did'nt go too well.:indiff: (as you can see) Tell me what ya think! I am probably gonna add some more graphics, like company stickers or something. I also may add another flame in there. Oh, and make the other mirror black too!
