You realize that GT4 has the rally version of the Ford Cosworth Escort, and it has both the street and rally versions of the Peugot 205?

Gran Turismo does not have the Peugeot 205 GTI - they have the Mi16 i think and its ugly! Rally Version is ok tho!

The Escort rally car doesnt have the trademark of a cossie 'The Whale Tale' and i like road cars better as they dont have stupid stickers and decals all over them!

@ Razo - i love the xr2's i forgot all about them do you not like the Mark 3? Also do you like Escort XR3's? and Sierra XR4x4's?

I forgot about the mk3. I was all nostalgic over '80s motors when I thought of the XR2s, then for some reason, the ST popped up. I don't mind the MK3s at all, they're fine, but the first two motors are just more 'classic' I suppose. Also, I rather like the Escorts and Sierras mentioned.

Anyway...

Ford Fiesta RS 1800. The ultimate MK3 perhaps? Or is that the RS Turbo?

ford_escort_rs_2000.jpg

Ford Escort RS2000 MK2. Shame they don't make cars like this now. Like a 1970s AE86 in a way.

Ford Capri Mk3 2.8/280 Brooklands. The best of the Capris.

Ford Sierra RS Cosworth. Why have the XR4 when you can have this beast?

sierra-xr4i-1983-1.jpg

Ford Sierra XR4i. Might as well, if you're tight on credits.

And moving on from Ford:

axgt_myyd_01.jpg

Citroen AX GT. The 205's little brother. My cousin had one of these, before he hit another car and buggered it up.

3434calibre12.jpg

Vauxhall Cavalier (Opel Ascona) Calibre. Special Tickford produced edition. By far the most desirable Cavalier, and probably the rarest.

2004_1227Image0011.jpg

Vauxhall Astra GTE Mk2 (Opel Kadett). My father had a 1.3 version of this motor years ago, and I wished it was one of these. Looks rather nice for an old Vauxhall. Would be a nice starter car if you sort out the so-so handling.

Vauxhall (Opel) Astra VXR.

And onto something rather less modest:

Ha ha The Astra GTE what a car, my brothers friend had an SRi version and one of my mates has one of these;

Not going to name this car, i'd like to see if anyone knows what it is and what the stats are!
dct2es.jpg

Have a guess!

All of these cars would be great in gran turismo!!!

Barry

^That's a Daihatsu Charade GTTi I think. The stats escape me. Very rare motor in the UK.

And one more motor:
7607_1.jpg

Volkswagen Golf Rallye. Spawned many imitaion MK2s with Jetta front ends.

This game needs a "Build Your Caterham" feature instead of the caterham dealership.

The Charade's are 1.0ltr 3 Cylinder Turbo's, and you may not believe me but the are really quite fast, 0-60 about 7 secs top speed = 120+ only reason i know is because i was racing one and i gave up at 120 and he kept going!!!

The Golf Rallye is stunning - seen one local to me, the front jetta headlights look amazing on it!!!

I'm not sure how to post pictures, but I would like to see a "regular" S-15, basically anything but the Spec-Aero and the Varietta. also the newer Grand Prix (two-door, of course). that's all I can think of at the moment.

(So....difficult...to not make....smartmouth...remarks :boggled: :banghead: :dopey: )

:dopey: 2 W124s, a W140, and a Polizei german police porsche! :dopey:

Few more:

Volvo 850 T5R. The car that probably highlighted double standards with British policing. On the other hand, the kids were never late for school though...

Triumph Stag. My father's a fan of this one. Was a desirable car, despite trouble with the Triumph V8 engine.

Austin Healey Sprite Mk1, or 'Frogeye'.

Triumph Spitfire 1500. I know it's already in GT4, BUT I WANT AN OPEN ROOF OPTION! (that, and I couldn't resist another pic of the Spitfore :D)

Triumph Dolomite Sprint. A classic sports saloon, predating all the Lancer Turbos, etc.

Citroen DS. Most modern cars are 'dated' after 5 or 6 years. This one was considered ahead of it's time for donkeys, and lasted 20 years.

Citroen 2CV Safari. Two engines, AWD... but still struggling to move. My college lecturer reckons it looks like an upside down bathtub.
