The hell is STACK? Never heard of them. I'll guess it's mad JDM and they supply Japanese race series' and whatnot.

wow, really? STACK has been in it for a long time and make amazing data tools and clusters. They are a UK based company, definitely not out of Japan. Their data logging systems and clusters are really well known and they work with a lot of major companies. You should check out their site and read up on the stuff they do and who they work with, really cool stuff.

Thanks for that. The only company I've ever considered as being "the best" was Autometer, so my eyes got pretty big when you said you got rid of those for these STACK gauges. Hmm...

Autometer became the parent company of STACK as of last year. Helps out both sides as they can now share info, Autometer has a premium name brand that continually cranks out high quality incredibly accurate products under its wing, and they can develop, produce and manufacture their products easier.

All those videos of Top Secret's Skylines and them use stack guages. They are awesome.

I'm officially N/A!! :)

Upon removing the downpipe, the bolts snapped and turbo had to be removed to get the pieces off. Although irritating, it works out because I now have the opportunity to get some clean up work done on the motor (which it needs as you can see), and also have the compressor wheel and housing all done up nicely. I'll take a picture of the turbo now that it is off the car so the ones earlier in the the thread can see how small it is :D Also on the list is replacing a lot of various bolts on the car to ones that won't rust, I want this thing looking nice as well as performing nice.

new injectors are here! RC 1000cc's, pulled the stickers off the outside though since they look like garbage after a bit of use. Big update on SATURDAY!

injector01ky6.jpg

Are you going to put the turbo back on?

yeah it's back on tomorrow, had to pull it when the downpipe bolts broke. I'm getting the oil pan retapped today so I can get the new downpipe, pan and turbo all back on tomorrow morning.

Laaaaame joke.

It's not a bad little turbine. Where'd you get it from? reminds me a bit of the kind you'd see on a small diesel.

it's through Precision. I'd imagine this turbo would be way too large for a small diesel engine though.

I dunno...I was thinking something along the lines of a backhoe engine. nothing HUGE.

((In the diesel world, Small is Relative, especially when the biggest of the type are 4 stories high.))

hope you didnt get any metal shards in the turbo...
or engine for that matter,
keep us posted

nope, turbo is just fine!

THE CAR IS FINALLY RUNNING! I've been beyond busy since the last time I updated so I figured I knock out everything I could today. I'd post videos and/or pictures of it in action but it was late and I already woke up one neighbor just from it idling in the driveway. I didn't want to be up and down the road waking up the entire neighborhood. I'll get some up soon though. Here's one last picture of it in its seemingly natural state; on jackstands in the garage.

After switching the old downpipe to the full 3 inch one, the exhaust needs to be trimmed to accommodate it as the new one has more length than the previous. Something I anticipated but I'm running open downpipe until that happens. Here's a comparison between old and new:

Since I wasn't going to using them anytime soon, a friend of mine was using those rotas I had on the car earlier and hit a MASSIVE pothole and bent the hell out of it. I'm surprised its still in one piece.

I got the oil pan tapped and back on the car. Got the manifold and turbo back on, got the downpipe on, wastegate on, and intercooler pipe back on. Good to go right? See if you can spot whats wrong here:

Forgot to hook up the oil line to the turbo. Naturally it's in an awkward place that you cannot reach while attached to the car so I had to pull the downpipe, wastegate, manifold and turbo so I can put the stupid little line on and bolt everything back up again. After a long day it's all done though. Gauges are going in tomorrow finally. I'll post an update in a couple days.

By the way, I was at the auto parts store today and randomly snagged one of these. Best $10 I ever spent! :)

YAY! Now you can spectate at Rallies!

((I'm serious...they must have vendors that sell those horns at those events...))

I've just read through the entire thread and I must say you have one sweet ITR 👍! I look forward to seeing your continuing project updates and what your car is like when it's all said and done.

I've just been using it to scare the hell out of people, way more fun than rallies :)

Thanks, Joey. I've got a bit more time now so it'll start moving along a lot quicker. Hoping to have it painted and done by the first week of July. Well not "done", but to the point that I can take it out to the track or to shows and what not. It will never be DONE.

got my new license plates in today though! :D :D :D

Nice Integra, probably the cleanest example I've seen. We got teg's up here but they all riced out with spinners and ugly bodykits

So I take it its a b18c5 then? Such a clean car though, Im really jealous. Also, Ive read that its a really bad idea to turbo a itr with stock internals due to the compression ratio or something. Is yours in the clear?

Edit: Im such an idiot, I didnt read the list of mods. Thats quite a lot of work into the motor. Be sure to get that thing on the dyno, Im curious to see what it runs.

What's the point of showing us your new plates if you're gonna blur them out?

for humor. :)

Thanks DKX. Around this area everyone is big on the clean simple look, as a whole we've moved away from the gaudy non functional stuff. There's still a lot of tacky looking cars out there but overall it's a much smaller percentage than it used to be.

Because they don't have the stupid Jamestown crap all over them.

I was excited when I got my clean empty plates too.

When I ordered them I was figuring it would have that Jamestown stuff on there but I forgot that they stopped making them so I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up the envelope.

hah, yeah I've got plenty of supporting mods for my setup. Yes, it's a b18c5. I took it down to my old roommates shop today to finish up with it and then it's dyno time. He's got the hondata tuning stuff there so we'll see how he does with it and I may or may not take it to Inline Pro after all.

Here's a quick little shot of it actually on a road and not on jackstands or the driveway. Sorry, no video or action shots of it yet but they're coming! My buddy stole those gunmetal wheels from me so I had to roll on the rotas he didn't bend and the front wheels off my S2000. I really liked the way those looked on the front there though!

Oh! I also have a couple items I'm about to order! A little something for the interior and also some meaty tires for those JDM 16's that have been collecting dust this whole time. Stay tuned ;)

I agree with this and great looking car jester! 👍

As much as I didn't want to believe it at first, whoever first said "JDM is the new rice" was correct.

I see the same people who used to be ricers going for the "JDM Tyte" look now.

I just have to know a little about the driver now to figure out if it's the same stupid person behind the wheel.

At least the cars don't hurt to look at anymore.

ah.

Meh, we've got Lincoln all over ours...had such a nice, clean lined look, too.

The real question is: WHY ISN'T LINCOLN CENTERED???

The plates are in 123 4567 format, but Lincoln is centered on the PLATE not between the numbers. So the fourth character COMPLETELY covers him. What. The. ****.

Illinois license plates have NEVER made any sense, though, so this doesn't bother me that much.

boy, I bet it cost a fortune getting those JDM headlights, let alone tuning it to death, like you did.

I've sample driven one badly battered EF Civic, and have never been behind the wheel of another since. although we do have a Honda Dealership, the only other foreign in my area is the Toyota/Hyundai combo. even Chrysler is damn rare around here.

Not much of an update for you but here are 2 lonely little cell phone pictures + one of the new daily driver. She's a lot more practical and comfortable than the S2000 for sure, not nearly as fun but oh well.

bmw01enk6.jpg

I've got a lot done on the car but just no camera to show you all yet. First is a pre-install picture of the injector driver to run those 1000cc's I posted earlier. No post-install shots because it's squirreled away behind the glove box where it can't be seen.

I've been having a lot of issues with my outdated hondata s200 so I think I'm just going to drop that altogether. I'm temporarily throwing CROME on it just to get it over to paint and once that's all done I'll either pick up s300 or switch it over to an AEM EMS. I'm probably going towards the latter.

and here is one last picture before paint. I have a ton to do on the cosmetic end of it. I will be pulling all of the window seals and replacing them with fresh ones after the paint job, finally getting my tires mounted on the wheels once those are done as well. I'll be pulling apart as much as I can before getting it sprayed; spoiler, fenders, bumpers, lights, handles, gas door, etc. etc. etc. I don't want any imperfections. I will also be employing a friend of mine to clean up my engine bay including replacing pretty much every bolt that looks weathered or rusty. Wiring is already cleaned up well enough now, but other items need a lot of touch ups. At some point I'll be replacing or powdercoating a lot of things like brackets and such, filling in holes that are no longer used, getting the valve cover redone and more. Next time you guys see this thing it will be looking a lot more presentable. I'll get some full interior, engine bay and exterior shots once its back together and after that its just adding on a couple select items in the pipeline. I'm looking at getting a new set of brakes and a few other things, basically just denting my wallet more and more :)

forgot to add these a while back, but here are pictures of the STACK gauges installed in the cluster. They look amazing. The only thing I don't like is that they make the lights behind the cluster look terrible since the LED's in the boost and wideband look so good :) Sorry for the cell phone pictures again, it's all I had on me.

Oh! I ordered a new turbo today too, ditching the sc61 for something that spools quicker and will make the same or more power 👍
