Mercedes is pretty much same old but this McLaren is refreshing. Good work boys.
They said in an interview that at Pre-Season testing they would run one to seeThe interesting thing I picked up on the Merc, was they seem to be the only new car thus far to not be running the "shark fin".
I sure had that "hmmmmm" scenario in race two. I drove up through the pack alright, with mopar all over me. But I couldn't get out of the 26's and all I could do was watch mopar drive away. When I pitted and got new tires, only then could I start hitting the 24's again.Mike sorry to hear about your mom. Hope she is doing better today.
That first race, from taking the pole, to having the lead for a while, then being able to put down many 1:24.5xx – 1:25.2xx laps made start to like this car. Driving that car in that race felt great. At the end of the race I just asked myself, why does this car not always feel this good? I remember thinking how odd , all of a sudden I can drive and handle this car. Boy, was I looking forward to race number 2.
2nd race. Back to reality. What a difference. I did not make any changes. My best lap was 1:25.6xx. The majority of the rest of the laps were high 1:26 – 1:28.. Why the big difference? All thru out the race I was wondering what is the issue. The car slid, locked brakes, under steered on some corner exits, while other corners the entry over steer nearly killed me. Even after the pit stop, way off pace. Yes I did have softs. I actually checked my HUD twice to make sure.
Has anyone else ever experienced such a change in the handling and feel of their car from one race to next? A Bug?
In life you have “those moments” that make absolutely no sense and leaves you with the questionable thought in your head and that stupid look across your face, The “hmmmm” scenario.
Last night was one of those moments.
Broadcast is open.
I'm glad he didn't see me completely fail in trying to pass you on the 2nd to last lapBravo! Bravo! 👍
Great job with the stream. I can actually see a big difference between last week and this show. Your camera work appears more natural, great shots.
That rear view!!!! Last lap 1st race, when you switched to rear view showing the battle between Mopar and one space, in turn 1 ,
You were able to catch so much action on the track. Thanks again for all your time and energy.

I did nothing to setup, I just couldn't get the speed out of the car on the first set of tires for some reason.
Good wins @Mighty_mopar if my damn wheel didn't get disconnected in race one I might have gotcha.
That was an idea I suggested in the live chat of the live stream. It's a shame the comments are not available in the final video. There are a couple of times the are commentators address a comment or question made by a viewer. Being able comments made by would everyone during the race would be an excellent touch, if possible. There were conversations going on in the chat that added to the race, IMHO.Bravo! Bravo! 👍

I was the one with the almost historic come back in race 1, I think Lessen has SGETI and my car confused, lol.Funny, I thought the same thing on the " what's going on with my lap times".
I thought your wheel came unplugged as you just pulled off track in turn 3. You caught up super quick tho, definitely would of won if it hadn't.
Awesome racing with you tho man!
@irmopars
I've had issues before where my tyres are set to softs but as soon as the race starts and I check again I'll be on mediums, must be a bug in the game. I'm wondering if that's the issue as it goes away once you pit.

are you running the stream directly from your ps4 or through a dedicated capture card?
I checked during the race and the tires were correct.
Maybe we just have to wait for the track to get rubber laid down it before the times run better. Once we pit we are on fresh tires.
During practice, doesn't the track already have 100% rubber laid down? I heard that from someone.
Well that doesn't make sense for those that had great grip in race 1 and terrible grip in race 2.
I think the game is screwed up. People just try to justify how the game feels by attaching a real world explanation
Which completely throws his theory for a loop.
@sharkie was viewing the stream. I run the Wednesday race streams. I'm just using the PS4 by itself. I do not have the capabilities to do anything more technical than that.
i was just wondering. if you do end up running a dedicated capture card i can help you out with setting it up. you and fallen are doing a great job with the broadcasts, i look forward to watching them almost as much as racing.
No.Would like a TOPP for scoring, someone do one more post. Tks.
