I recieved this message on my PS4 today and nothing else has come of it. I don't know the details of what exactly I did, who to contact about the issue, or if anyone else received the message.
Going through each vague reason Playstation gave, it was not "deliberately ruining the online experience of others" because I haven't played in any online modes with any game I have on Playstation for awhile, I think the last time was The Crew 2 about a month ago. It was not "cheating" or "being disruptive" because I've only competed against myself hotlapping and testing tunes or against AI by doing events via World Circuits and the only other game on Playstation I played recently was Wreckfest and the point of the game is to be disruptive.
The only thing it could be is "exploiting a game glitch" because I have made a lot of credits both in the last update and this one by doing the offline 600 pp event at Tokyo Expressway with the Tomahawk X.
I do find it alarming that from what I know of I'm the only one who got this message, yet countless people have done this exploit, but there doesn't seem to be any repercussions yet, nothing has changed on GT7 for me and I'm not banned from anything on Playstation, so it's not a major concern for me yet. Frankly unless this message has been sent out to everyone who has done the exploit, I will continue doing it because they will not hear the end of it if they do only target me by banning me and only me, but in general be warned that Playstation is possibly watching you.

Were you a dick to people in The Crew 2? Sometimes it can take them a long time to get through reports of bad behavior.

Note also that it said "content uploaded from your account to Live on PlayStation." Maybe don't upload videos of you exploiting a glitch?

Maybe it is uploading the videos but even people as big as BlackPanthaa have mentioned the glitch so if Playstation is being equal to everyone then Gran Turismo is about to lose a lot of influential people.

I can almost confirm without a doubt you probably t'd off against a bunch of whiners and they decided to mass flag you. That's a constant complaint in the Wreckfest Discord on PSN, and even Xbox Live in some cases.

Yeah, I don't think this is a Tomahawk / Tokyo issue.

It seems from the warning it is 100% something 'online'. So probably someone/multiple people complaining on Wreckfest (the irony lol)

Fingers crossed anyway OP. Keep us updated.

I had a 3 day ban out of nowhere from playing Gt Sport.

The description of I allegibly did was so vague and obscure that I pushed Playstation hard to get a response to why... and they never gave one. I was told that for "privacy reasons" they could not disclose what I did.

I tried for about 3-4 weeks to get an answer but it all led to nowhere and being told the same bs.

The really funny thing that in my ban, the wording said I had been doing "appropriate behavior"... which literally meant they banned me from doing the right thing. The only thing I ever remembered doing was writing a message before a Sport race commenced: To look out for a certain player (I tagged them) as they were really dirty and will ram you off the road.

So yeh - good luck to ya in trying to figure out what happened

I was only playing Wreckfest offline. Hopefully I wasn't too disruptive to the AI.

Maybe the reports are only automated, I doubt Playstation cares enough to have an actual person answer any questions.

Seems like the dirty player didn't like that you tagged them so they reported it?

That was my guess.

I was more annoyed that Playstation would not give me any details of I had supposedly done and that they had no response to the obvious question...

"If I don't know what I have done, how can I be expected to change my practice's? "

It was definitely a case of being guilty with no option to fight it

That's not why you have been warned. Playing a game and taking advantage of the status of its code as is isn't a offense and won't be againt TOS.

Having read the terms of service (and having actually seen a video from an actual lawyer back when people were using the Playstation app before the update that increased payouts), I think that wouldn't even remotely come close to violating that. This had to have been someone massively reporting you, can't think of any reason THAT particular race would get you nailed (especially when as you said, no one else seems to be getting dinged). Think its safe to say the Tomahawk Exploit is not being cracked down on and someone is just beyond petty (Probably in serious need to go outside more, its done wonders for me).

I wouldn't be surprised if someone is reporting me. I haven't raced online in GT7 with my main account since about a week into the game, but that doesn't stop a few people being annoyed with me.

If nothing more comes from this, I won't make much more of it. Whatever the issue was, it probably wasn't looked at by an actual person anyway, so it could be an error.

The message states that you have deliberately done something to ruin the online experience of others, so whatever it is, it must have happened when you were playing together with other people.

Its %100 from an other game. I made a lot of money from Tomahawk and even shared a video on my youtube channel about the tomahawk glitch directly from my Ps4. Didnt get any warning at all.

The Tomahawk thing is also not clearly a glitch. Part of the intended play of Gran Turismo is to tune your car to make it as fast as possible while still fitting certain regulations, like PP. If the PP calculation doesn't take some things into account correctly, that's not the player's fault, they're just playing intelligently.

It's no different to playing a character with overpowered moves in a fighting game or MOBA. Yeah, everyone knows that this probably isn't the intended balance of the systems, but it's a completely normal part of the game that is there to be used. There's a pretty fine line between using the game systems and exploiting them sometimes, but this seems well on the side of "using".

If Polyphony don't want people doing this they can change the PP calculation or start banning the Tomahawk from races. Until then I think it's a reasonable assumption that it's allowable play - the player isn't expected to be a mind-reader as to what Polyphony does and doesn't consider acceptable. If the game lets you do it, it's okay.

The message basically says you were being a (insert insult here) and ruining the game in some way for other people online during a live stream. So you must have done a live stream at some point and done something against the rules on it or something that got you mass reported at least. You must have more idea than the rest of us what this could be.

I doubt it was the Tomahawk stuff because that's offline and intended game behaviour, so it's not breaking any rules.

:gtplanet::cheers:

You probably got mass reported by someone. Were you a naughty person online, by any chance?

It's such a great example of the total lack of laws protecting users. The consequences for players that bans can have simply doesn't match up with the useless protection.

I never got cracked down on the Tomahawk and never got this message doing it. Maybe it's from another game or an online lobby
