Fox Body Mustangs weren't lavishly equipped to begin with, so the SSP models almost certainly would have been at least a little heavier than your typical LX.

Just applied to be a State Trooper.

And they're just about to get new paint jobs, too.

I believe Black with Copper, Dark Blue with Copper, White with Copper and White with old blue but with the new style are all possibilities.

I'm hoping Black with Copper gets the nod, even though it will look like America's favorite Sheriff's department...

Explorers seem to be extremely popular for law enforcement agencies now. In Lincroft, New Jersey, you'd have a hard time not seeing one of them.

Most of the departments in AZ are in a flux with the Crown Vic being phased out (that was de-facto in almost every department here). Most of the city departments seem to be going towards the Tahoe's, while the DPS is following California's lead with the Explorer. Of the three cities I spend the most time in (Paradise Valley, Scottsdale and Phoenix) PV is all Tahoe's and is the only one that has at least one brand new Tahoe, Scottsdale has always had a pretty broad range (even using Dodge Magnum's for K9 units for a time) and seems to be going towards Tahoe's, but they also have the newest fleet of Crown Vic's and have tried Explorer's, Charger's and even an F-150. Phoenix always had a mix of Impala's, Vic's and Tahoe's on my side of the town, so I imagine Tahoe's will replace the Ford's.

Mesa PD is the only department I've seen using a Caprice, Tempe is going Tahoe, not sure what everyone else is doing, but I imagine Tahoe is the answer. Of course I say this now, but things could change. I'm surprised I haven't seen very many new Taurus' though.

Seems like New York State, are moving toward more Unmarked Tahoe's, and Explorers... I mean they are easy to spot... But still.. 👎

Talking about the police cars used over here, i was gonna just post images of every car they use but the problem is that when i search for some images, all i end is images related to some uprising years ago...

So i will try to find good images as possible. (Or i could just go near the police station and post images but this sounds dumb to me).

Toyota Land Cruiser
Probably the most common Police car along with the Nissan Patrol

Sorry for the bad images but those all i could find on the internet.

Minivans can be police too, you know.

Even today, in New York City they use Chevrolet Ventures for postal police:
