Both this Russian hacking and the whole 'fake news' story are desperate attempts to discredit Trump and his millions of voters IMO.

You can see through this from a mile away, and it's pretty disgraceful.

From the Gulf of Tonkin incident to Iraq WMDs to Pat Tilman and right up to the present moment, it turns out we have been awash in fake news the whole time. Nobody has been more guilty of it than the legacy media. We are all floating on an ocean of lies.

Every President has them. Nixon was the most publicized, but Obama, and his handling of the IRS scandal, has become a close second.

You are probably correct, but it used to be harder to get on the enemies list.

Back in the day you had to join in a march against the Vietnam War and maybe even get arrested for throwing flowers and holding up peace signs.:nervous:

Now, all you have to do is attend some climate change conference and scarf down some muffins.
Call me disillusioned.:(:D

Aren't muffins a part of the fascist white supremacy bakery movement of the 1950s? Wouldn't it be more like tofu beancurd fair trade cocoa rainforest raisin organic flour pastries?:sly:

Yawn. You have any fresher strawmen?
No, but I've got this >>>>>:sly:

Uh oh, I guess Jim Brown and Kanye West didn't get the memo that "their kind" aren't supposed to talk to Trump:http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/14/opinions/trump-kanye-west-jim-brown-joseph-opinion/index.html

CNN has put Peniel Joseph front and centre to chastise the blacks that don't toe the party/race line. Looks like Joseph swallowed and regurgitated a handbook on how to disparage race traitors or something. A few highlights:

- racial bait and switch
- minstrel show
- aging sports icon and disgraced rap star
- the meeting comes at great cost to the black community
- enemy of racial justice
- most white cabinet in 25 years
- have to question Jim Brown's judgment solely for meeting with Trump in spite of a lifetime of working to end gang violence and create work in the inner cities
- folly, pandering and racial accommodation
- racial demagogue
- white nationalism and demonising people of colour

“I could have sat back and said, ‘Well, Hillary didn’t win, I’m just going to sit on my butt and complain.’ But see, the one thing about this country, if you get off your butt and you apply yourself, you can be successful. But if you want to be delivered, you’re talking about the wrong country,” he concluded, chuckling." -

Kanye West meeting with Trump is the best thing I've seen in a while, those two a made for one another.

I also like how Elon Musk joined Trump's advisory council too, I mean what a perfect place for a real-life Bond villain.

(like say Hillary Clinton while she was Secretary of State? Implausible, but very likely.)

I'd say you're right with the first bit, on pretty shaky ground with the second bit, and utterly contradicting yourself within four words.

Which is a falsehood on its own merit. Those ballot Boxes can't be connected to the internet once they are certified, and that is the law.

That doesn't guarantee that some latent malware wasn't already on the machine and missed during certification. (Not saying this is likely, just that there's no guarantee of a secure machine, no matter what procedures are put in place to mitigate the risks.)

Mainstream media really loses it's mind when "Russia" is the one to bring investigstive journalism.

maybe that's a sign that they are not journalists anymore.

How would the U.S. know who in particular (like Putin) did the 'leaks' without, say, doing something illegal like counterhacking another government?

And if Russia did leak something, what in particular did they leak? The entire Wikileaks collection of DNC stuff?

Seems to me that the Obama Administration's just pointing fingers, trying to derail future American-Russian relations, for no good reason at all.

It's all the more funny cause when the U.S. spies on others and someone reveals it, they seem to simply get away with sorry. But now we're allowed to accuse others without evidence...cool stuff.

I had framed it that way because while it was Hillary that had the most to gain, it was unlikely that she created the narrative that it was Russia's fault because the whole situation hinged on Trump's comments that the election was rigged. If anything, the hypocrisy was so strong in Obama in saying that the elections weren't rigged to begin with, that he ordered the CIA investigation into the election. This flies in the face of Federal law in that the CIA can't operate on American soil. So we have a president who ordered an illegal investigation into the election that was "supposed" to elect the first woman president in Hillary, only that it didn't happen by a margin of 306-232.

The working theory among Dems is that Russia hacked the DNC emails and leaked it to Wikileaks.

Obama had a point that it would be incredibly difficult to directly rig the election because the system is so decentralised. Rather than rigging one election, you would effectively have to rig half a dozen separate elections.

But it would be considerably easier to indirectly rig the election by manipulating public opinion. How many fake news stories emerged during the election? Who created them? Where did they come from?

I fail to see how it's hypocricy to say one thing and do another when there is no contradiction between word and action.

It's hypocrisy because he basically said to Trump to accept the election results, but his actions suggests that the president refuses to accept the results. I can't make it any clearer than that.

The funniest part about the people complaining about the Time Person of the Year is that Obama won it twice, Bill Clinton also won it along with Jimmy Carter...not to mention "You" won it which in essence makes us all literally Hitler.

Mein Gott!

Or - and stop me if this is a radical idea - he is a President who is genuinely concerned at the potential for foreign powers to manipulate and subvert the election results.

And that is even worse considering the number of country's elections that he personally tried to interfere with, including Israel. It's perfectly fine when the US does it to you, but when someone else does it right back, suddenly it is call out the CIA. Right?

For the record, I personally believe that Obama is right on at least investigating the result integrity. It is just that he is the wrong mouthpiece to do it given what I said earlier.

I wouldn't be so quick to condemn him as a hypocrite. You can bet that those other nations would investigate if and when the integrity of their own elections was compromised by a foreign power. We just don't hear about it in the western media. Which American media outlet is going to be interested in running a story about America openly interfering with the democratic process in another country?

We can start with The Blaze and work our way out from there. They actually DID call out the US for interfering with Israel's Prime Minster Election a few years ago.
